They picked a good location as this sits at the corner or what used to be a very busy intersection. Since they extended four lane portion of Route 40 I would assume a lot of the traffic just kind of bypasses this now. I believe this was a much needed business in this area. There wasn't much selection if I recall correctly. The setup inside and out is your typical setup for a Sheetz. Enough pumps to handle a rush, enough touchscreens inside to handle a rush as well. The one added bonus of this location, if you can call it that, is that they have three PNC ATMs located behind the building for banking business. I'm guessing that was part of the stipulation for building the property. Not only did it take up the garage business, but a PNC branch office as well.

Prices were OK. My husband and I shopped for beverages and snacks. I would prefer different types of foods such as healthier ones, but we still bought a few beverages and a few snacks. The pepperoni rolls here are a bit different. They are soft and light and fluffy. Most of the ones I find are made from a thicker bread that's heavy and dense. I find the pepperoni and cheese ratio in these to be perfect. Not too much of any one ingredient. I tried the special of the week which was Crab Rangoon and I wish I didn't--not that it was bad, it just wasn't a real pepperoni roll. Then of course I got a regular one and a jalapeño one. My son got one regular and as we at them in the car he asked if he could have another so I gave him my card and back he went. They were about $4.50 each. Later when we came back through town after going to Blackwater and Douglas Falls, he asked for yet another and of course I obliged. I took mine to Blackwater Falls and ate it there. There were railroad tracks and several types of railroad equipment, including a couple engines and even some cabooses. Unfortunately, the tracks are a long buried and even washed away where they crossed the creek. I don't think anything has run here in many many years, but it was still incredible to see they had their own man-made creek that originally had a concrete bottom and stonewall sides with a very neat covered bridge. I guess they had live animals at one time, but all I saw were some geese. I didn't get a chance to venture too far because the grass was very high and I didn't want to take a chance of getting ticks. There is a nearby store which serves lunch counter food, I had a foot-long hotdog and fries, which was quite good and reasonably priced they also have soft serve ice cream. I found the place by accident by taking the back roads on my way across West Virginia. I'm really glad I found it. It's just a place I enjoy.
