I was about 5 miles away; gas is $2.69/ gallon in Pittsburgh, and it be worth it to fill up here…read more($2.49/gallon). It's located on a busy corner, and with the Sunoco across the street charging $2.69/gallon for gas, this was jumping. As soon as you pull in, you're a couple of yards from a gas pump, meaning traffic gets backed up in the intersection Not safe. Minus 1 star. The gas pump area is very small (8 pumps), and pulling ahead to leave, you can make the store a drive thru, or hit a customer if you're not careful. There's parking in front, but they didn't go hog wild on a lot of spaces, and they share that part of the lot with Frick Tri-County Federal Credit Union. The parking lot, in addition to being very small and oddly shaped, is pitted with potholes. Minus 1 star. The usual stuff, you can pay at the pump with a credit card or ATM card, and the store has convenience items inside. The parking lot was spotless, just insanely small.

It is hard to figure out how to enter this lot if you are not from the area, and I have not been from this area for quite some time. It is older and grimier than other Sunocos out there. But it still serves its purpose. Gas prices are the norm for Pennsylvania, read that as usually higher than most states. There are enough pumps to handle a rush, but also stifle movement about the lot. It just has this weird vibe to it that makes you not want to enter the store portion of the business. I kind of got my gas, emptied my trash and peeled out of here. No need for any extra interaction on my part.

I kinda like Cougar Mini Mart. It is your typical, small convenience store, It is so funny because…read morethey don't even really have a sign outside, but it is always full of people. They got the basics and a little deli in the back that they do not advertise and many people might not know about. Their pretzel sandwiches are good. They basically have the necessities at convenience store prices. I am just stoked that they exist, open holidays. What I think they could improve on is...if they sold fizzy water and if they still could have a gas station...that would be ultimate. I'm not really sure what more to add...it's a small local convenience store. I am very happy it is in business.
