While out on my journeys I needed to make some purchases to make dinner the next day. However there is not a lot when it comes to choices in this area. And who knew that a Walmart would pop up in this area after some time. I will give it to them, even though this is on the smaller side and they have less selection with the departments being pared down, they were able to have everything I needed in stock. Which I found odd because I was not expecting that. It was not busy when I came for my visit so I was able to make my way through the store quickly. However I did find myself backtracking a lot, because of the small size this is not set up like your conventional Walmart store. Once I did finish getting everything I needed I was ready to pay and get out the door. To note, there is nothing else around this Walmart unless you go up the road. Not even a plaza to go with it.

I decided to take a trip down memory lane recently. I made a voyage to my alma mater. While in…read moretown I decided to also venture and see what the town had transformed into. Lots has changed, but not this place. When I was in college Kwik Fill had did a complete rebuild to make it look like it does today. Since the rebuild, does not look like much has changed. Maybe the building aged a bit, but that's about all. It is the only gas station in town. Also one of the few places to get items that are convenient. Hot food is also available if you are up for some gas station fare. Back in the day I remember coming here for some chicken strips and fries. Typical items you would find in a gas station convenience store. Typical service as well. Attentive as expected, but it seems like a bit of a joking atmosphere. Lots of joking between employees, and some of the regulars that stop in here. It appears to be a frequent spot for local authorities. You have to give it to them. It is a needed place in town and it has served its purpose all those years.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. The first gas pump we pulled up to was out of service. There…read morewas a plastic bag attached to the pump saying "out of service" which was initially extremely unnoticeable. Upon pulling up to the next pump ahead, the transaction machine indicated that the pump does not take card, which required entering the store to pay in cash. Over all, this gas station is an oxymoron, in that it was not "KWIK" by any means. Will not be returning to this station... I'd rather drive out of the area to a gas station with more accessible gas pumps, and better customer service during times of inconvenience.

Beer & Wine Downtown is a convenience store that sells non-alcoholic beverages, snack foods, vaping…read moreproducts, and more. My husband and I shopped here only to purchase two energy drinks. The store looked to be newish, fully stocked, and clean. An employee greeted us, rang up our purchase, processed our payment, and thanked us. The prices were fine. My husband and I did not look around the entire store, but we did not notice any alcohol. Reviews on another website said that this store does NOT actually sell beer and wine.

Very disappointed with the interaction I had there today. I went in to buy cigarettes, which let me…read moresay I buy a lot. So I asked the cashier for "two packs of Newport 100 soft pack." During the transaction the cashier was polite and continued to talk with me. However I was unable to see the cigarettes that she rang up behind my other items. Otherwise I would've noticed and said something right away as I always check to make sure I'm getting the right thing. I did not fully see them before she placed everything into a bag. So once my card went through and I started to walk out, I realized she gave me kings. So I turned around and said excuse me I wanted 100's. The lady then proceeded to say that she didn't hear that, that I only said Newport soft pack.. Which I know that is not true bc I only smoke 100's. Also if that's all I said then why didn't she ask if I wanted kings or 100s to make sure? It would've also been nice if I could've seen that they were kings before the transaction was completed. Because when all was said and done she would not exchange them even though I did not leave the store and clearly stated that I wanted 100's. So it would be nice if the cashier would double check with the person on the kind and size asked for especially if they're not willing to exchange even when you haven't left the store. So I had to buy two more packs of cigarettes because someone else did not hear me correctly. And now I have two packs of cigarettes that I do not smoke and frankly can't afford to have because of someone else's mistake. Now I will say the cashier was polite and said that she was sorry afterwards. However I still feel that was very unfair that she did not clarify the size I asked for and the fact that I did not leave the store and had no way of tampering with them that she wouldn't exchange them. She was also claiming that her eyes would not stay open, covering them and squinting the entire time. So maybe it wasn't that she didn't hear me and she just happened to grab the wrong size? But instead of admitting to making a possible mistake she blamed me saying that I did not say 100's. When I know without a shadow of a doubt that I did say 100's. I do not order any king cigarettes ever so I know that is not possible.. Just very frustrating.
