I even remember when this location was a Cross Roads before Giant Eagle got into the gas station business. Those were before my Yelping days, but here I am, finally with recent visits that allows for me to give it an appropriate review. The first time that I did stop here on my travels I was really in need to use the facilities. I didn't stop anywhere else before I got here because I knew this was here. I pull up and all the lights are on and then I noticed that there was not a vehicle in the lot. Strange, go pass the door and see that they were closing early by order of the store management. Oh well, maybe another. Guess, another time came. With the last visit not going as planned I even thought I was going to bypass this, but I gave it another go. I pulled up and they were open. I go in, use the facilities, and notice that this store has not changed since Giant Eagle slapped the Getgo marquee on it. The inside is just as I remember over a decade ago. Because of that, the inside is not that big when compared to the stores being built now. That meant the selection was not as big on variety either. Employees gave the customer service angle the college go, but I seen more enthusiasm at a funeral. With the location, you would think that they would take the initiative to up the game here. Give it a makeover.

Right after I got off the phone with him the driver, a nice man named Ryan, called me to let me know he was on his way and would be there in about 40 minutes. Not even 5 minutes after that I learned that I learned that I left my wallet at home. I called the dispatch office and told them the situation and that I needed to cancel the tow. I was then rudely told that I had greatly inconvenienced them and that there was a dispatch fee. Ok, understandable. What wasn't understandable was the fee was $50. The driver could not have been 10 minutes out and as traffic was, not far from the office. I asked what the fee included. The dispatch man (same one as before) rudely listed off a list of things. 1. fee for gas 2. fee for the drivers time 3. fee for CLICKING ON THE AD to call them. I told the man that I did not click on any ad and that I found the number online. When I searched for towing companies on the computer the number automatically came up and I called from my phone. He proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and had clicked on the ad and that it cost money to run the ad so I had to pay for it. I told him that I had no problem paying a fee because I did understand that I caused them an inconvenience but that I considered $50 a ridiculous amount. He told me I could pay it or he would call the police. He said that any call for service was a binding contract but I could try my luck with the police. I told him to never mind it because by then 15 minutes had passed and the tow driver was almost there and that I would figure something out. I ended up getting my vehicle towed and had to use my boyfriend's card. At first Ryan told me their card machine was down and that I should have been told that over the phone. (I was not) I convinced him to try it and thankfully it worked. The only redeeming quality of the whole horrible experience was that Ryan was very kind and acomidating. He was able to take $20 off my bill for the horrible service but all in all I would not use this company again.

I can't say enough about how nice, honest, and skilled Rick is. I had a unique brake incident on a…read morerainy Saturday evening and Rick face timed with me so I could show him the problem, then on Sunday morning he picked up parts I had ordered at a nearby parts store, brought them to the parking lot I broke down in and proceeded to spend the next few hours patiently completing a rear brake job that even though he didn't have the exact specialty tool my VW required, he persevered and did just a great job! If you need roadside help and he's available, don't bother calling anyone else.

Over the years I've come to know the staff and can rely on them for consistent troubleshooting and repairs. Their pricing is not bargain-basement, nor is it excessive. Quality work, always willing to make things right when things go off-book, and generally great people! They have earned my business and respect in an industry where both are hard to come by.

Lots has changed, but not this place. When I was in college Kwik Fill had did a complete rebuild to make it look like it does today. Since the rebuild, does not look like much has changed. Maybe the building aged a bit, but that's about all. It is the only gas station in town. Also one of the few places to get items that are convenient. Hot food is also available if you are up for some gas station fare. Back in the day I remember coming here for some chicken strips and fries. Typical items you would find in a gas station convenience store. Typical service as well. Attentive as expected, but it seems like a bit of a joking atmosphere. Lots of joking between employees, and some of the regulars that stop in here. It appears to be a frequent spot for local authorities. You have to give it to them. It is a needed place in town and it has served its purpose all those years.

Upon pulling up to the next pump ahead, the transaction machine indicated that the pump does not take card, which required entering the store to pay in cash. Over all, this gas station is an oxymoron, in that it was not "KWIK" by any means. Will not be returning to this station... I'd rather drive out of the area to a gas station with more accessible gas pumps, and better customer service during times of inconvenience.
