This is one of the biggest Sheetz I've been to. It's got 18 gas pumps. I filled up here on my way from Chapel Hill to High Point. It's fine. It was busy during my visit on a Saturday around 10:30am. This Sheetz is located roughly halfway between the Triangle (Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh) and the Triad (Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem). Of these cities, it's closest to Greensboro. This is one of two Sheetz locations in Burlington. This is store #417 and the other is store #592 on Maple Ave (NC 49): https://www.yelp.com/biz/sheetz-burlington-2 Both are close to the interstate This one is closer. It's just off I-40/I-85 exit 143: NC 62 - Downtown Burlington, Alamance. Note: On this concurrency (overlapped stretch) of I-85 and I-40 in North Carolina, the I-85 exit numbers prevail. Those exit numbers are 131 to 163, west to east. The I-40 exit numbers temporarily "stop" between exits 227 and 259 (i.e., the aforementioned exits 131-163 occur during that stretch). I associate Sheetz more with its convenience stores with MTO (made-to-order) food than I do with gas. However, I do remember when they ran a July 4, 2023 special discount on gas at only $1.776 per gallon. We passed the line for one and it was ridiculous. read more

Friendly staff. The gas dispensers are very slow. Took a while to fill my car for only $12. Aside from that, the area is clean and they have a nice selection of prepared foods. I didn't get anything this time but I probably will try it out next visit read more

This is the dirtiest Sheetz location I have ever stepped foot in. I was taken back by the amount of filth. Trash out front on the tables. Leaves that have been gathering since early fall all around the entrance. The bathroom was appalling. It was no nasty I wouldn't even take my hands out of my pockets. The toiletries were empty. I am generally a supporter of Sheetz, however this location is unlike anything I have ever seen regarding Sheetz. read more

I think that one thing that SHEETZ needs to be consistent about in every location is to have cars facing in one way at the pumps. Each time I go in the flow of the traffic is all over the place and you have to be careful of being hit. I also think that should people be paying cash each location needs to have someone outside collecting the money, and also have someone watching the area. In the past 3 months I have been panhandled, had someone approach me to give me a fly-er for their business, and most times I don't even feel safe pumping gas. read more

This is without a doubt the filthy Sheetz I have EVER been in!! Trash all over the floor and the coffee counter was covered with dried coffee and sugar all over the counter. The creamer machine grate was COATED with dried creamer. No napkins in the dispenser. I travel and always stop at Sheetz. I am SHOCKED!!! It was 11pm on a Sunday night. No excuse! Midday on a Saturday and the restroom is cleaner than a Starbucks! Plus they have recycling bins on every island! Sheetz rules.

Very clean bathrooms, keep stocking the Tropicana OJ. Try other brands of iced coffee besides Starbucks. My go to gas station and snack shop. read more

we were out and about and we were hungry so we went to go get food and we got 2 subs and 1 fry and we waited 1 hour and 6 minutes and when we got are food we did not even get our fry's and they were not low on staff. read more

I've been to at least 10 different Sheetz before and never had to wait 25 minutes for onion rings. How long does it take to drop a frozen onion ring into a deep fryer? I probably could have bought my own farm, planted an onion, harvested it, and made my own onion rings in the same amount of time. I was almost expecting Jesus to return before my onion rings were ready. After the food came out and I came back from the world of the dead to retrieve it, it turns out that they served me chicken strips instead of onion rings. Food was pretty good though and the fry guy looked like he was trying his best despite everything. read more

There's only so much you can ever really say about a Sheetz--they're clean, well lit, and always seem like a safe stop off from the highway no matter where you go. They also have about as big a selection of drinks and snacks as I've ever seen at a gas station, and the expansive beer cave is a nice touch too. The one issue I ever have with Sheetz is how long the made to order food seems to take. For fast food people are ordering from a kiosk, you'd think it would come pretty quickly, but I've waited 10-15 minutes or more before. That being, the selection of food options is quite big, and the seating offers chargers for your phone/lap top. read more

It has been a while since I've checked out a Sheetz, and this location was a fairly decent one to stop. They have really ramped up their quality in my opinion. Of course, I'm a little biased as I compare the chain to Wawa and that in itself is hard to rate it much higher. Their original food options seem pretty good. At this location, and in the past 3 years or so, I've only tried their Italian sub and thought it was ok. I do like the fact they have more options in choosing your bread. There are also a good portion of pre-made and pre-packaged items. Although I haven't had them, they look pretty good. Pricing on items from the convenient store and gas outside are fairly modest. I like the fact that it generally doesn't attract rednecks. Location was busy, but service was good. Wish they had more of these in the Charlotte area! read more

Sheetz is freaking awesome! Man I miss this place! All of your coffee, sweet and salty snacking and sammich needs all under the same roof. How could you NOT be a fan? Did I mention they have touch screen menus??? Whatever you fancy they can make it here...fresh...just for you! I'm a huge fan of their breakfast sandwiches and subs but there so many other reasons to love this place. I'm pretty sure I've never met a Sheetz that I didn't like. I'm so happy that my favorite place for late night food when in college is expanding in the south. This isn't a huge store but it's always clean, workers courteous, and the food is awesome for a convenience store!!! read more

I just stopped at this location. I would not recommend it to anybody. I was third in line and after waiting probably 10 minutes I put all my stuff down and left with about 12 people in line behind me. The cashier was dealing with one family that entire time and no other employee came over to help. I will never stop at the sheets again. read more

Needed to grab some gas and a quick bite on the road. Figured I'd do both at once. I wanted something quick so I went for the super cheap hot dog special. Asked for mustard, onions, and relish. Ended up with mustard, relish, and...diced tomatoes? Is that even a thing? I ate them anyway and they were fine. I'm not expecting gourmet food here, but I found that kind of odd. I'm not sure what the big deal is about Sheetz. We went to one for the first time this Saturday for breakfast. I was sort of put-off by the touch screen ordering and it was not as customizable as lead to believe. I had a flatbread/ham/egg/cheese b'fast sandwich which was the most bland, boring b'fast sandwich that I can remember. My wife's maple turkey and egg biscuit wasn't much better. With an OK hashbrown, it was not worth the price. You can do so much better for price and taste at Subway. Won't be back. read more

We love Sheetz, and we look for them while traveling. We stopped at this Sheetz for food and coffee while on a road trip, only to find that all 8 coffee containers were empty--no coffee at all. Very disappointing. read more
