I don't take any pleasure in leaving this review because the quality of the haircuts here is excellent--at least for men's cuts. However, my concern is with professionalism. I've been here four times before, sometimes as a walk-in, and had good experiences. For my fifth visit, I scheduled an appointment in advance. I left work early and arrived six minutes before my 5:30 appointment out of respect for their time. When I checked in, my appointment was confirmed, but I was not taken next. Instead, a walk-in client was serviced ahead of me. In my opinion, the stylist should have informed the walk-in that there was a scheduled appointment and either asked him to wait or explained how to book for the future. Unfortunately, that didn't happen--and neither did my haircut. This review isn't meant to criticize their skill, but to highlight an issue with scheduling and customer service. If appointments aren't prioritized, it defeats the purpose of booking one. read more

I was fortunate to have found Veronica at Shear Perfection Hair Salon in Stuart, FL. She has the attributes of a true stylist, listens, advises, and cuts hair meticuously. I have thin, fine hair and it is challenging to find a stylist who knows how to cut and style my hair. This is the best haircut and style that I have received in 10 years! Just wish I would have found her sooner! read more

Pros: They had the color that I use. My stylist was friendly. My color application was well done. Cons: They do not accept the coupon here for $10. My trim on my ends of my one length hair was rather high. read more

I would hardly call this place a Spa. It's a hair styling salon that may or may not have a nail tech available if she's working that day. I don't know about the Swartskoph product but I was supposed to be going to a Redken salon. I trusted the stylist, who seemed to be of age to give me good advice about my hair. I am just platinum blonde. I left there looking fairly reasonable. I had a swooshi thing on the side of my head that I didn't ask for. I have a Bob that is supposed to be straight but a little volume. No textured swooshi. My roots are orange, so so much for the Swarts cough translating well from Redken. The stylist/owner had a lot of attitude that she knew more than anybody else. She was very disparaging and unpleasant, not to mention wreaking of cigarette smoke, which made me want to puke. read more

I sat in the chair for almost 20 minutes as the stylist was behind. That was no big deal--I would want her to take her time with my hair as well. She finally finished, never came over to say hello and went outside to smoke a cigarette!!! Left me just sitting there. No "I will be right with you" or "Thanks for waiting" nothing! So rude. I got up and left. For an overpriced highlights and trim I can get treated better anywhere else. read more

After getting a recommendation on Facebook to try Veronica for my haircut. I Couldn't be more pleased. I got a spot the next day. She really listened to my requests and cut my hair accordingly. The staff at the shop all wore masks and there disinfecting was spot on !!! I'll be back read more

Shear Perfection is an amazing salon! Sue, the owner, is an amazing colorist and hair stylist. I really don't want to rave too much because she is busy as it is! Beautiful, CLEAN salon. I personally have not had an opportunity to experience all they have to offer besides hair coloring and cutting, but I do appreciate that the mani/pedi technicians are not Asian I highly recommend Shear Perfection Salon ! read more

I went in for hair extensions with high hops and the lady was mean and said I could not get what I wanted done and I left very upset never going back read more

I am new to the area and gave this salon a try. I usually only use a trusted stylist to do my hair. I have had it done professionally many many years. I told the woman, "I'd like to clean it up and get rid of my dead ends." "do some long layers and some bangs." no big deal, right? WRONG. don't you have continue to learn new technique as you go through your career? needless to say I am very disappointed. the salon was clean but doesn't make up for a bad simple haircut. oh yea, at the end when she was blow drying me, she wrapped my hair around 5-6 round brushes and left them in my hair like curlers. it was the most ridiculous thing I've experienced at a salon. read more

My sister went, she was visiting from Las Vegas. Veronica did a beautiful job shaping her hair. She was very happy with the results. Booking an appt was easy. read more

I am new to the stuart area and wanted to find a local place for a pedicure. Even though the reviews were not great I decided to try it. I called at 3:45 and was able to get an appt at 4:30. Mai was wonderful. I had a deluxe pedicure and it was great. I usually paint my own toenails either pink or purple so I chose a French for a difference. Mai was friendly, talkative and still did a terrific job. I will be back. Glad I did not trust the reviews!! read more

Veronica is super great! She has been cutting my hair since I moved to Stuart in June 2017. I found her at another salon and was lucky enough to be able to follow her to Shear Perfection. My previous stylist was with me for 15 years when I lived Kansas City. I found Veronica She has picked up write were he left off. I have found everyone at the salon to be top notch. Sue and Kima have made me feel like part of the family. Sincerely, JP Greco read more

Janet is my girl!! The only person I'll let style my hair ~ especially since now it's the healthiest and longest it's ever been in my life. It's the perfect time for us to catch up.. ii love the environment && it's the place ii met my husband 3 years ago!! read more

Sue is the best hairdresser I've had in all my life. I am old. He knowledge of hair and products cannot be compared, and she is always learning more as well as trying new products. I drive an hour to have my hair done ever 7 weeks...a 10 minute color, and it is always perfect except for a mistake that I made once which was correct immediately. Now that I am living and working in Miami, I will make the treck back to Stuart to have my hair done. Once one finds a great hairdresser, you should NEVER let them go. And by the way, my girlfriend from Massachusetts goes here also. Yes she waits to have her hair done until she comes down here. She comes about every three months. She claims NO ONE in Mass can cut her hair the way she wants. She has to come here to Fla and this salon to get her hair done the way she wants. Both of us are beyond happy with the services here. read more

It's a tiny place...but they seem to have a lot fit into the location. It was my 1st visit and I thought it was clean and the staff was friendly. As soon as you walk in, they have a huge sign warning you not to lean or even touch their receptionist counter - I don't know what's up with that! I clumsily held onto (juggled) all my things while I was paying because I had to wonder what kind of scene they would have made had I placed my things on the super-special counter. My appointment was for waxing - I saw Deborah. I would recommend her and I plan give her my repeat business. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed - which is saying something when you're there for a waxing ;-) *Note: Rating just Deborah, she is 5-stars!!! I won't go to anyone else. The 3-stars is for the salon itself. read more

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!! This place is a joke I had asked for a color specialist what I got was someone who did not know what the heck they were doing.I would post pictures of what I asked for and what I ended up with but it's embarrassing. When I showed the "person" cause she is definitely not a stylist, what I wanted she made me feel bad about it like I was crazy. The owner needs to A-fire her or B-send her to some classes I believe they have hair shows in Orlando keep up with new trends and how to do them correctly. I'm not a hairstylist but I would have probably done a better job on my own hair what a shame because I paid over a hundred dollars for crap..just terrible read more

I moved to Stuart recently and tried Shear Perfection for hair cut, pedicures and leg wax. Veronica cut my hair and did the best cut I've had in a very long time. Tina does my pedicures and I've been so happy with her work! Olivia does leg waxing and has done the best job out of anyone I've been to. I highly recommend this Salon! read more

Overall 5 stars. Olivia is very thorough (I got a full wax) and friendly. She creates a relaxing atmosphere (which says a lot when you're getting a Brazilian). Jessica was extremely patient with me on the phone as I got lost THREE times on my way there. Thank you, ladies!! I'll be referring people there to you for sure:) read more

I was looking for a new hair salon to go to since I was new to the area. After doing some research on the web I came across this place and it sounded very professional and a place where I would want to go try out. I came out of this place looking like a brand new person and feeling so good with my new bangs and layers. And on top of that they do nails! Everyone was really friendly. My new place for sure! read more

Great service and stylist are very nice and welcoming. Been coming for years and I love it!

Been going there with my 2 daughter for 3 years Dena is the best. Hands down perfect with hair extensions. A++++++

I went to this salon for a few years and the owner was my stylist. While I liked her skill, I always felt put on the back burner as she would ask me a question and while I was answering, start talking to someone else. That being said, she was amazing with my hair. I stopped going there when the rates went up and I couldn't justify spending that much money every few months. read more

AWFUL!! Rude and unprofessional. I had to clean the hair out of the chair before sitting down. The staff complain about people in front of other customers. I paid nearly $1000 here and they never got my extensions or color right after many hours and 4 or 5 trips. I went to another salon a month later and was completely redone and satisfied in 90 minutes. Sue wouldn't even recommend the products she used on my hair to me on my first visit. She said she didn't pay attention to what she used and saw too many people to be able to remember products. Total waste of time and money after being sent home twice with truly embarrassing mistakes on their part. read more

Disappointed, and won't be back. I usually get my nails done elsewhere. My mom had her hair done here, and suggested we both get manicures here together so we could catch up while doing so. We get manicures every 2 weeks or so, and we're thinking of making this our "new place." We we're told manicures are $15. I was asked to pick out my color, so I picked out my fav OPI color and had it in my hands. The manicurist told me that Vinylux lasted longer and asked if I wanted to try that instead of the OPI. Still just a regular manicure-not gel, etc. I said "sure." My mom was asked the same, and fell for it too. When we went up to pay, our $30 manicures had become $50 manicures. When I told the receptionist that we hadn't been informed of cost almost doubling, she just stared at me. The owner was standing there and made no attempt to intervene. I obviously paid, but will not be back. Hope it was worth the loss of a lot of potential repeat business to make $10. The BIG rub was that this $25 simple manicure that was supposed to "last longer" lasted 3 days for my mom, and 4 for me. My OPI manicures last a week. I would really urge this business to be honest and transparent-if you want to upsell, inform your clients, or conspicuously post your prices. Back to my old place! read more

I have been going to Shear Perfection for one year now and was extremely dissatisfied with my first "stylist". She didn't listen to my requests and did exactly what she thought I should have done. When she left I was ready to move on and try to find another salon. However, I decided to try someone else at the same salon instead. So glad that I did. Rene took time with me to select the color I desired and to go over the cut that "I" wanted. She listened to my requests and together we decided on the right color and cut for my hair. So nice to find someone so pleasant that actually cares about the customer for a change! Way to go Rene! read more

I was happily surprised by this place. I read the Yelp reviews and thought that this place should be alright, so I called wanting to make an appointment for the next day. No problem. I was booked with Jannet. She was great. I got the impression that they were not expecting the amount of time my hair would take to do (I have pretty long hair and was getting color and probably should have been more clear on the phone), but they accommodated me without making me feel rushed. Jannet took her time to make my hair look perfect. The other members of the salon staff seemed equally as good. I saw a variety of people while I was there - men, young women, retired women, in-between women, and they all left looking very nice. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to others and will definitely be going back. Also, the prices were very reasonable. I checked a lot of other salons in the area and this once was priced on par, if not a little cheaper. read more
