I not only came to get my hair done, it was a whole relaxing experience. I'm just sorry I didn't get the assistant's name because she was so sweet and hospitable. I was greeted promptly and had my coat taken from me, which was nice. I was sat right away in the stylist chair. A few minutes later, Grace, my stylist came to greet me. I came to get balayage and she asked me for a picture. I showed her and she promptly when to work. The only criticism I have is that I wish the consultation was more in depth, like ask questions about my hair and things like that. My hair was curly when I came in so she did a quick straightening so she can start the coloring service. Grace works super quickly, her hands were flying all over my head. She works super confidently. During this time, I accepted an offer for coffee and kept myself busy reading some work I had for class. Not much small talk was made but I honestly didn't mind. I was doing my reading and a talkative stylist doesn't make or break it for me. Grace did offer me a conditioning treatment as an add-on service which I accepted. And boy, am I glad I did! It came with the most incredible scalp message I have ever received by her assistant. I almost fell asleep at the sink lol. I also got my ends trimmed because I needed to and again Grace did everything so quickly. While she was drying and styling my hair, parts of my hair had looked super brassy. I pointed this out and Grace offered a free retouch without hesitation. It looked like half of my head was orangey in tone and I was shocked at how nonchalant she was being but it turns out that the chair was awkwardly placed between two different sets of lighting. Once I looked myself in a different mirror, all was good! But , I was grateful for the offer of the free retouch, which wasn't necessary after all. I was also offered a complimentary shoulder massage after she was finished with my hair. The balayage, haircut and deep condition with olaplex came out to about $250 before the tip which was reasonable to me. I actually enjoyed getting my hair done. The salon itself is clean with minimalist decor. Bathroom was clean as well. And there were little details throughout the salon that makes it clear that a lot of effort was put into the place and guest experience. I would love to continue to support this business.

Well yeah, it is falling because the blow dry was beyond subpar, and you curled my hair with no product. I am a hairstylist who came into town and was looking to treat myself to my honest to God first blow dry because I usually do it myself. I didn't bring any of my tools with me because I thought I could trust the reviews of this place, but I could not. They were understaffed with 2 employees and only standing room in the waiting area. Maybe this added to her frustrations and impatience with us. After that, she ended up charging me $100 --and that was not even with a haircut. I would never return or take my daughter again. And I still tipped because I am too darn nice. My mom saw her hair and commented how dry it looked. When I leave other salons, it is silky straight. Not worth it at all. I will go to a salon where my daughter has a good experience and feels cared for and I get my money's worth. We could tell that Chelsea had had a rough day just from the phone calls she got, and the customer before us, but she still smiled and had a good attitude during our appointment. We showed up with dry, clean hair, ready to go. My daughter had a picture of the style she was going for, and Chelsea matched it perfectly. Her hair was beautiful! Thank you very much, Chelsea! Yesterday, I got the worst haircut of my adult life here. I very rarely leave reviews and didn't…read morewant to be mean, but when I woke up this morning, saw my hair again, and cried because of how bad it looks, I feel like I have to. It is about two inches shorter than we discussed, the stylist even admitted it was cut too short. As for framing around my face, we picked a piece of hair and I said not to go shorter than that, it was cut much shorter. I asked for long layers, which I have had for years, but the stylist and I clearly had very different definitions of what that means. The layers are very short, some at my eye level. She finished and I literally cried and said I hate it. She tried to fix the layers by texturizing them and they look a little better. Emphasis on a little. My haircut still looks incredibly dated and nothing like the picture I showed her. It still made me cry every time I caught my reflection in a mirror when I got home. The only redemption is that it somehow all fits in a ponytail. I had long, thick hair so it took over two hours to wash, cut, and dry. Maybe it was too hard for her to work with. I saw she was cutting way more than I expected, but I didn't say anything because she was the professional and I was trusting her. In hindsight, I should have said something. I know it'll grow out, but I got my hair cut because we have a family wedding next weekend and unfortunately it won't grow out that fast. I absolutely hate it and don't know how it could be fixed at this point. What are they going to do, cut it more? I've already lost most of my once thick hair. Giving two stars instead of one because the stylist was a sweet girl and didn't charge me full price. But I will never be returning.
