I went for hair color and requested a specific shade 7N which is a light brown shade for global hair color, my hair is medium to light brown naturally. Kim did not put the right amount of application and left all the roots grey, but the hair color came out really nice. Next day I went to show that all the roots were still grey and Dawn colored a darker color even after mentioning the shade number previously used and keeping the same color. She made my hair jet black to cover the grey's without asking me just changed the shade to 7 times darker. Their license should be taken away as I mentioned multiple times that the shade is very dark after the wash l, unlike yesterday and she said that after two washes it will lighten up. This is a perfect sign is unprofessional behavior and not understanding what your client needs. This was a very basic ask for global hair color turned out to be a disaster for my hair. She should know that washing permanent hair color doesn't lighten up 7 shades lighter after couple of washes. Basic thing a professional salon should know. Complete dysfunctional group of people working there. They do not talk on the phone and hung up on me few times when I asked to fix the problem. Bunch of Assholes. read more

Asked for a bouncy wavy blowout. She blow dried my hair completely straight but left my face framing, pieces by my ear, and underneath still curly and half dry. Then brought out a curling iron and just curled the whole thing. I asked for a simple wavy blow out with no hot tools. So sad that I had to come home and do my hair all over again. read more

Went in for a long hair women's trim. Got 3 inches choppy cut off and face framing I specifically did not ask for and the entire cut was uneven by INCHES. Had to go to a different salon (shout out Arizona Hair Co., go there instead) to get it fixed because the cut genuinely would've been better if I had done it myself. read more

Cut and highlights Everything was done opposite of what I asked for or about 1/2 done. Asked for highlights - got a few, but lots of lowlights. One of the few highlights I did get was close to the crown and went down both sides of my head like a 1/2 inch zebra stripe. Looked stupid. The cut I asked for, again, she cut about 1/2 of what she needed to to achieve the look I wanted (even showed her a picture AND video.) This place may be good for quick, simple cuts, but not for highlights/color or more complex cuts. Prices are a bit below average - but don't be sucked in by the pricing. I am 79 years old and have never had a worse haircut. My fault, I was going cheap. But this was a dreadful experience. She was in such hurry with here clipper she scratched my face when I requested sideburns be squared up.Left side of face scratched and sideburns cut at significant different length. Very poor men's haircut complete in 7 minutes. I must suspect this operation may be a front for something nefarious. I've been coming to this shop for four years now, after receiving a recommendation from my brother. I've rarely been disappointed. I wear my hair military short, so get a haircut every two weeks or so. The barber/stylists there are good with both men's and women's hair. Since I get a clipper cut, I only have to tell them the blade numbers, and I'm good to go. The ladies here are professional, friendly, and attentive. Dawn, the owner, is great--she runs the shop efficiently and customers are served timely. And you can't beat the prices! I even persuaded my wife to start going here for her haircuts, at half the price she used to pay at a midrange salon. She's as satisfied as I am. I suggest you visit the shop during the weekdays, as weekends tend to be a bit busy (as at most barber shops and salons). I do think they take appointments, though. They're open Sundays if you need a cut in a pinch and don't mind a bit of a wait. I can't say enough about Shear Perfection, and highly recommend this shop. They've done consistently fine work with me, and for a guy, I'm pretty picky about my hair. I hope this place is around for many years to come. read more

My three kids and I have been going to Shear Perfection for years (9+ yrs), they're very good, reasonable, and willing to do whatever it takes to make the haircut done well. One of my son has a particular style need and sometime runs into issue but the hair stylist always patient and able to understand his need and offer a solution. I was in from Maryland to visit family. Was holding out for a bang trim for a wedding to be sure I found someone who knew what they were doing. The clerk at Budget Rental next door said she gets her hair cut there, and it looked nice, so I gave her stylist a try. YIKES....my worst nightmare...2 weeks before a big wedding....I asked to have my very thick bangs thinned out some, straighten the cowlicks/curl some BUT said the length was just right. Got RIPPED OFF! Don't get a service there unless you know how much you are paying first!!! Or FIND ANOTHER PLACE!!! Just wanted a simple hair wash (no cut, blow dry or any color), but the lady didn't understand it. She thought I wanted a "hair conditioning treatment". (They were speaking their native language (Asia decedents, so the lady, the one with a long reddish colored hair, who did my hair, didn't communicate well). Unfortunately, it's something that it's sad to see/hear, as a customer I felt they were "talking about me" or who knows? There were a few other customers there, including a guy. It's disrespectful to be in an environment where you would like to get a service, but the people who provide the service are all speaking their native language. They were not very respectful to those who don't speak their language. There was a very bad miscommunication, and it really bothered me as I found out that she charged me $18 for a hair wash? Another lady (probably the manager) who heard me talking with her about the price (absolutely ridiculous!) said that it was $10. She refunded me the difference. This shop is perfect. It is fairly priced. The people are very nice. They do great work. They provide a delightful head massage with each wash/cut and it is so relaxing.
