Tina is unbelievable! She has the kindest heart and an undeniable love for every animal that enters her threshold. I find myself never wanting to leave because while she is caring for my pets, she is caring for me too. And it doesn't hurt that she is hilarious! You'll Love her and won't regret the visit. We have been taking our little dog Lilly to Tina at Shear Heaven since the day we rescued her eight years ago. We couldn't be happier with the level of service and care that Lilly receives. Tina is a wonderful asset to our community! read more

Tina and her assistant are truly gems in the industry! I have a small dog who is a rescue and can be reactive and even nip if scared, my husband and I had previously tried to take our dog to other groomers and had been turned away without any effort on the groomers part to take the time to make our dog comfortable and our dog was labeled " too difficult" it was really disappointing. By the time we met Tina and her crew we were desperate and our poor dog was starting to get mats that we just couldn't deal with at home and I felt awful. I wish we had found Tina sooner because she was so patient, kind and very sympathetic to our situation. She handled our dog without any judgment and did an amazing job on the cut( her assistant is equally wonderful) I almost cried when I saw my little fur baby after her first cut. Bottom line I hope Tina stays in business forever because she has a lifetime client with us. Thank you shear heaven for taking a chance on our rescue when no one else would. read more

I have a senior shitzu and his long nails were concerning me but because of covid 19, I wasn't able to get him in to his usual grooming salon. I just happened to walk by Shear Heaven today and ask the owner if she could clip my dogs nails, she graciously accepted my dog (through a screen door and with physical distancing) and took him in right away. Not only did she clip his nails, she also cleaned up around his personal areas, shaved the hair between his pads and trimmed his face. I was ready to pay and tip well for her kindness when she was all done but she refused payment and sent us away with a treat. Thank you so much for the act of kindness you showed today and compassion for animals. I will definitely be coming back for future grooming. read more

I love Tina. She's just the sweetest lady and you can tell she genuinely loves dogs. I take my Schnauzer Gigabyte @megathemutt to her every time and she always comes back looking amazing. I tried to tip her and she wouldn't take it! Just make sure you book apptmts way in advance because she gets busy and books up quickly. read more

Tina is amazing! Similar to another review... my dog was in desperate need of a nail trim. I was able to groom him, myself, during the quarantine... but despite two different clipper/grinder purchases, and numerous failed attempts, I could not trim his nails. I dropped in to Shear Heaven for Pets, and although she was busy, Tina took Jake right away... and trimmed his nails in less than 5 minutes! Because of a previous reviewer stating that Tina refused payment, I was prepared and insisted! (Thank you for the head's up!) Tina was beyond gracious, and I was delighted that I no longer had to worry about overgrown nails!! Beyond highly recommend Tina! She is the best!! read more

Tina is amazing I have been seeing her for years. She really cares and listens to what you want with fur baby. Thanks Tina I would not trust anyone else with my dogs. read more

It's not very often ( unfortunately ) that you meet people who absolutely love what they do. Tina the owner or Shear Heaven has a passion for life that exudes from her wonderful personality and smile no matter what time of day you enter her little shop on Aviation. I've had several groomers over the years an the one constant concern is always how that person will care for my little guy. Leaving my dog Chopper and now my fiancés dog Coco with Tina is never a concern. Our dogs come back looking and smelling great every-time. I'm not sure if Tina is taking on new clients at this time but if an opportunity becomes available, don't miss it! Your little love will be in capable, trustworthy, and loving hands. read more

I am the owner of 2 beasts: an American Bulldog--Pit mix named Spike and a Tibetan Mastiff named Annabelle, both rescues. I have been taking them to Shear Heaven for about a year, and couldn't be happier. Not only am I paying HALF of what I used to for grooming (making it legitimately cost effective to not do it improperly myself), but I am also getting the highest quality of services I've ever received. As you can imagine, as a huge dog descending from the mountains of freezing Tibet, Annabelle is essentially the fluffiest, furriest dog in the entire world, and Tina doesn't bat an eye every time she trots in. I've taken her other places, and they've failed to get her undercoat dry, leaving me with an unhappy dog who smells sort of mildewy after a few days. Spike is short-haired and easy to wash, once you get him in the tub, but he is stubborn and strong as an ox. Both these dogs are huge babies and arguably high-maintenance, and Tina and her staff consistently deliver them happy and clean as a whistle, sometimes with pink bows on Annabelle's black, floppy ears. They weigh 126 and 111 lbs, respectively, and I am always amazed that Shear Heaven handles both of them (simultaneously) without any issues whatsoever. Plus, at the end of the day, you ultimately want someone who truly loves animals to be caring for your pets. Tina took in a PIGEON at one point, and nursed him back to health. She is a saint in my book. I will never take my dogs anywhere else in the South Bay. read more

This place is the best! I've been coming here for 4 years already. Tina is exceptional. I have two very furry dogs and they always have their hair cut to perfection. Tina has so much love and patience for dogs - you see it the moment you meet her. She's also a delight to talk to. If you have a small dog, this is the place to get them groomed! read more

It is so nice going to a groomer that actually cares about the dog. I know when I bring my baby in she gets the royal treatment,. Thank you Tina for being so kind, affordable and convenient! This is a groomer worth checking out. read more

She is an amazing person, animal lover and terrific groomer. She has always been realistic, yet professional and I appreciate that. Her passion for rescue is astounding. She did an amazing job with Lizzie, my 8-year old Irish Terrier Mix to whom I have never been able to groom. Rather than blow me off when I told her Lizzie's history and difficulty with strangers and other dogs, she told me to bring her in, stay with her and cut her with me right there the first time. Lizzie did fine after that...and then Tina even began to work on cutting her toe nails...little by little each time she came. She also shaved down my other dog Jack. And when it wasn't short enough...she did it again, No Charge. Like I said, professional, terrific groomer, animal lover and great person. When she starts taking new clients again, I suggest you head down... read more

Tina is the best! I have been to many groomers and she does an excellent job and the animals and their owners love her. She is also very affordable. She also has a great sense of humor and doesn't make you feel uncomfortable when your dogs act like fools, like ours do.. Keep up the great work Tina! read more

TINA IS AMAZING!! She has extra help now, so the wait to see your clean, stylish pup is not too long now! Tina is very personable and makes sure your dog is treated like the King or Queen. A dentist also comes monthly and does cleaning for half the normal cost at a vet. read more

We've recently rescued a dog and came in to learn a bit about what we need to do to best care for Buddy's grooming needs. Tina was such a warm, welcoming person and thanked us for saving this sweet dogs life. She immediately offered to take care of his first time for nail trimming and anal gland expressing and a bath for free! I will be coming back regularly to her. She clearly has a passion for pups and was able to help me better understand where he was coming from as he's imprinted with me and I want him to bond equally with our family of 5. read more

Tina is the BEST! She has been our dog groomer for our two dogs for many years. One of our dogs is nervous about going to the groomers (and the vet!), but Tina handles him with calming care and when we pick him up, he is a proud boy....We recently moved an 1hr away, but still drive into Hermosa to get our dogs groomed by Tina. She also provides teeth cleaning service! Many thanks to Tina, and her wonderful team at Shear Heaven. read more

Called up to see if we could have our two small dogs groomed. When we asked if she had any spots available today or tomorrow, she thought about it and said, "ummm, no." (in a not-nice way) So we asked when she does have a time slot, and she said.."Saturday.." I said that is a bit far off, there is no time sooner?" and she said, "no!" and hung up. She was completely disrespectful. Makes me think that all the 5 star rating on here are from her friends just gving her good reviews so she looks good. read more

Tina is the most amazing groomer I've ever met. She is so kind and gentle with my dogs - she has a customer for life. Shear Heaven does an excellent job - my babies always look and smell wonderful when they leave her care. She not only takes good care of my dogs but she has several senior citizen animals that she cares for so she is all about the animals. Her prices are reasonable and the service is fantastic! read more

When I was living in Hermosa Beach, we took our 2 GSPs to Tina at Shear Heaven. She and her crew are so good and professional at what they do, the dogs were excited to go see her. Alas, divorce, she got the dogs, move back to Santa Monica, but got a new GSP, Shinza. Like I mentioned Tina and her crew are so good I am taking Shinza back to get groomed this Friday. Unfortunately, he is very aggressive towards other dogs, I hope this doesn't mean he can't return. Looking forward to seeing Tina again. read more

Called today and the recorded message states that they are NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS. Yeah--good luck with that. 3 stars for a past experience, which was okay, but she didn't brush the dog's teeth even though I had requested it and mentioned it at least three times before/during the appointment. read more

Tina is AMAZING! Super laid back and clearly loves doggies. She's the only one I trust with our Gally. She does a great job grooming our little 4 legged baby and doesn't crate her which I love. My pup gets anxious if she has to be confined to small spaces. She's our go to for our pet grooming needs. read more

Was a bit dubious about the ratings for this place. After all, you can't make all the goofy pet owners happy. I think I get it now. My doodle was heavily matted but we didn't want to shave the dog. Tina and crew worked tirelessly to comb, wash and snip our dog for several hours over two sessions. Our dog looks wonderful, smells great and he even was happy to go back the second time (go figure). They are very friendly but professional. Our dog has a new grooming home. read more

Shear Heaven is a wonderful spot to have your pet groomed at. The owner is very friendly and was accommodating in meeting our needs. When I brought my dog in, she spent time meeting him and me as well. Having just moved here I was nervous about finding a good groomer, but she put all my nerves to rest. I wouldn't hesitate to take my dog back here--he had a truly enjoyable time and the cut was exactly what I wanted. read more

I took my yorkshire terrier here back in February. The lady was really friendly and she did ask questions about my dog which I thought was really nice and thoughtful. Most grooming places they just take your dog in and see you later but this place was different. Made me feel welcome and most importantly at ease leaving my dog somewhere else than home. I loved the cut and the price too :) We moved out of the area but would definitely go back again! read more

Britney, their groomer, is the best!! My english bully loves her and she is the absolute best. Your pets will smell and look amazing.

Take your dog here!! The girls are absolutely great with all dogs and you can tell they are real animal lovers. Their prices are incredibly reasonable too. My fiancé and I have a 10 year old collie/chow mix and her fur was out of control. The girls here made her look like a show animal and our pup seemed relaxed and happy when we picked her up. I could tell that she was loved and cared for during her grooming. 5 stars all the way. read more

Tina is amazing. I moved to LA a few years ago and was lucky to stumble upon her through yelp. Her price was unbeatable and even more important she cared about me and my dog. She always held conversation with me upon picking him up and seemed genuinely interested in how things were going for me since moving. I made a recent move to pasadena and tried a new groomer and was very disappointed. I will be returning to the Southbay(even though it's a long drive and my dog is not a fan of the car) to Tina until I can find someone as trustworthy and caring closer to home. She is an excellent groomer and she is worth the commute for me! read more

The two women who co-own this heavenly place know pups, their fears, and are able to provide such TLC. Our rescue had some biting issues, fears bath and grooming. My fingers were crossed and she would be calm and she was!! I've never experienced groomers elsewhere that provided the same TLC. You have won me over and will continue to use you. Bravo read more

So happy to have found Shear Heaven! Tina is great, really cares about her 4-legged clients. We went for the first time today (after discovering it driving past and reading great Yelp reviews) and are very, very happy! We've found our new groomer! Thank you, Tina! We will be back!! read more

Shear Heaven is great and Tina is amazing! Anyone who can put up with my little monster is a-okay in my book :)

Just like another posting I read... I called to make an appointment and got the answering machine, "We are not taking any new clients"
