I called Bakery on the evening of 11/25. There was no one there; however, Customer Service responded. I was calling to ask the availability of a cake I had ordered, as I had time constraints as to when I would be able to pick it up. (My great granddaughter was just born and I wanted to meet her on Wednesday morning.) The Customer Service rep listened to my concerns and although waiting on another customer, she told me that she would put me on hold for a few moments and then go to the Bakery Department to check on my cake. She went to the freezer and assured me that the cake was ready. I feel that she went above and beyond for me, and I truly appreciate her efforts on my behalf. Her name is Becky. She is a credit to her department and Shaws Supermarkets. I hope that this will be remembered when it is time for reviews and increases. Furthermore, as the conversation drew to a close, Becky congratulated me again on the baby's birth and wished me a Happy Thanksgiving. How kind!!! I had a run in with the bakery specialist with a very rude and disrespectful attitude! So much attitude I asked workers if he worked here! Somebody like that should not be serving or dealing with the customers especially with the amount of attitude that is generating. I wouldn't trust his attitude to bake cake or prepare my kids cupcakes. As a manager he is not leading by example if you come to work with a piss poor attitude that rubs off on your coworkers. read more

Picked up a quart of strawberries and a pint of blueberries for my grandchildren today 8/5/24. I handed the clerk several containers that had visible mold in them. He thanked me and said he'd "let them know". Attached is a photo of at least a half quart of rotten strawberries after I washed and then began to cut them into pieces. This is so unacceptable. I won't be shopping at your store again for any sort of produce. It's just awful. read more

ZERO STARS DESERVED FOR "STAR MARKET" The female "manager" with the reddish/burgundy Colored hair and glasses is very rude. She rolls Her eyes at me anytime she walks by me. So I do it back ‍ she didn't seem to like that very much today. It seems to be a stereotypical issue because I have literally dealt with this so many times, considering the fact that I have hand, tattoos and face tattoos a lot of store, workers tend to gravitate towards me because of my appearance, which I really don't appreciate and every time I come in the store she's always watching me rolling her eyes. For example, today her and her little (& I say little because compared to the "manager" who's sadly about in her early 40s so to say was in the window with a girl who looked about 16 , both acting like children) coworker were in the window when I was leaving, like children; waving at me from the hallway that takes you through the doors into the store... what kind of business does that is my question because that's not a business in my eyes that's just children running around in a grocery store acting like they rule the world. get it together because this is insane you peoples perception of other people is Disgusting and I'll give you that but what I won't give you is the fact that you literally are up my ass every time I come in the store and it's not even just the store it's pathetic. Check your receipts before you leave if you're a just4u customer. Discounts don't register at checkout, just points. How convenient for revenue generation. If you want your discount honored then they force you to waste time at the service counter after checkout. This is a common practice at every Shaws I've been to and they're well aware these discounts don't apply at checkout. I brought it to the attention of the store in Easton about 6 months ago. They said they'd report it. Yet it continues to occur there and Mansfield as well. I asked the service counter in Mansfield about 6 months later and they mentioned it was an annoyance but still nothing has been done. Hmm.... Guess the extra revenue generated makes it too hard to fix by corporate. read more

I went there tonight to order a sheet cake for this coming Sunday and I asked TISH for it and suddenly she ran behind the counter and started screaming at me and shacking like a leaves I'm working by myself I can not make a cake!!! So I was there with my mom on Mother's Day to do our once every two week shopping. Scallop was on sale and we took 15 bag(usually ill buy like 5or 6 bags anyway.) It was $10 vs$14. The manager came and start arguing. She said" it's people like you, that is why we are shortage of food." I told her I took it very offensively and we have a family of 5. With the Coronavirus going on. We're only go grocery shopping once every two weeks." We usually spend $200 a week on grocery. What's the big deal with buying $500 grocery for 2 week?? Also told her to look at her store " there are plenty of food!!! Buying $500 worth of food for a family of 5 is normal" Her name was Nancy. Manager in Mansfield store. I call her today and told her I file a complaint with the headquarter. She said " it's a Shame. Your lying." I said to her. " god know who's lying!" She hang up. Overall. I feel like she was discriminating again Asian-American because there are plenty of people buying a cart full of food. My opinion is she is not fit to be a manager. This is one of the best Shaw's in the industry, and even though I much prefer the Stop&Shop company as a whole... in Mansfield, Shaw's beats Stop&Shop by a mile. Now, Stop&Shop may have a tad higher prices, yet in effect, they have so much cooler technology (self checkout and those cool SCAN IT scanner guns), and have Citizens Bank inside, some even have Dunkin Donuts. I was in the area a few months ago, and didn't feel like heading back to Stop&Shop, as the Mansfield location isn't at my expectations as some of the items in the deli / meat section aren't great. This Shaw's is definitely one of the best, especially considering the fact I dislike most Shaw's stores, especially the one right by my house, and I would definitely shop here frequently if I lived in the area. Staff are friendly, everything looked fresh and the seafood and deli areas were perfect, especially considering the fact that there was no wait. Checkout is easy, no self checkout, however no long lines. Store is huge, larger than any other Shaw's location I've been to, and has a huge variety of grocery, frozen, seasonal, and household cleaners and basic supplies. 4 stars for Shaw's in Mansfield. I would come back if I was in the area, to bad Shaw's in Norwood doesn't compare to this one..... it would be so great having a store like this right by my house. read more

I always enjoy a good stroll through the grocery store. Shaw's is very clean and well organized. DID YOU KNOW...This Shaw's is the only grocery in the area that carry Vita Coconut Water in 4 different flavors. I have gone to other nearby competitors for this coconut water, no one else has it. This is PLUS in my review. BUT, I did take star back for the one time I found a loaf of moldy bread on the shelf. This was highly disturbing as I took it to the service desk. BUT, for the most part, the deli is usually well stocked with a good variety and very helpful, quick associates. The Seafood and Meat area has good deals, especially during the summer for grilling... The organic section carries a good variety including refrigerated items. The Bakery often have good deals as well. Many different selection of pastry and cakes freshly made. Overall, 4 stars for Shaw's Supermarket. read more

I agree with the last reviewer - the self checkout does not work as well. Shaws is cheaper but I have noticed that most times I have gone there to shop they are either out of everything or it is a "managers special" because it is about to expire. To really save on Groceries I got to MarketBasket in Raynham or Bellingham. read more

I find this store to be clean and is usually well stocked. The people who work in the meat department are always helpful and friendly. They have always done anything I ask. As far as the store in general is concerned, you do have to watch expiration dates as you shop though. I have found that there are a lot of items that are within a day or two of expiration so I dig in the back,lol. read more

This is my go to grocery store for good sales. They double coupons up to $.99. (only 4 of the same coupon at a time) I find their produce department to be lacking and some stuff doesn't appear as fresh as you would like. They cycle great sales on paper goods and cleaning supplies. This is pretty big store with a honey dew donuts inside. The staff in the bakery are always super helpful. Actually I find all the employees to be helpful and polite here. There is always plenty of parking and they have pretty good night and weekend hours. read more

A few years ago I wrote a review for Hannafords where I stated that I usually go to Shaw's but was going to start only going to Hannafords. That was true at the time, and I still like Hannafords, but I'm back to Shaw's 95% of the time now. I feel like they have really upped their game in the last few years! I was sad when they discontinued the rewards card but they have compensated by marking many items down. I've found that the key to controlling costs is to really look at the whole section- sometimes an item is full price but the store brand nearby is on sale, or a different size is on sale and works out to a better deal. Also, they rotate what meats are on sale. When they do a buy one get one free deal it's time to stock up! One week it may be chicken thighs, the next it may be pork chops, etc. If you are flexible and don't mind a full freezer you can really maximize your savings this way! My favorite thing about Shaw's is the different contests and programs they run. I was addicted to getting the Monopoly tickets over the summer, even though I didn't win any prizes (but I did get a few good coupons). During the Rachael Ray event I got enough stamps for four bowls and four coffee cups, and this year's Cuisinart event is even better- I earned enough stamps for a free 10" skillet and a 2 quart saucepan! Both are really nice, and It's great to get rewarded for doing the shopping that has to get done. This Shaw's location is always clean and organized, the employees are friendly, and if you are a bit flexible with your grocery list and take advantage of sales you can keep your grocery bill under control! read more

Came in 20 minutes before close on a Friday night. Manager was on the phone walked towards me and a friend of mine and rudely yelled at us that they were closing in a few minutes. We said okay and then decided to use the bathroom before leaving. When we were walking out the manager followed us out and shot us a dirty look as we were leaving and immediately locked the door.
