Food is good if you are willing to be rudely treated, disrespected & mocked as well as demeaned, and they will do this in Arabic because they are too cowardly to do it in English or French making them even worse. They think it is cool to speak in non-official languages to insult, mock & disrespect their clients. They had no clue or the intelligence to think that maybe some of us clients might understand Arabic. My last trip was September 17,2015 between 3:30pm & 4:30pm & the 2 guys literally mocked me in Arabic the entire time, with no shame, loudly too as if I wasn't standing right there. Even after I paid; I asked for a clean plate to eat with in addition to my actual plate since my large salad was too full & I like to eat like a civilized person. Apparently this pissed them off, how dare I treat their establishment as a restaurant? How dare I ask for a plate so I would not make a mess? The young cashier girl, she yelled at them in Arabic too while referring to me in an extremely rude manner almost like being a customer is a nuisance to them. This was it; I decided to speak up, and I said that I understand Arabic & they are all rude. I said that I will eat my paid for plate and NEVER return. It is EXTREMELY rude to intentionally speak in non-official languages with the intention of making sure most ppl in the restaurant do not understand what is going on. It is even ruder to do that to mock your customers & make them feel unwelcome while they are being insulted for supporting their business. I went to my table & could hear the girl talking to the 2 guys who were mocking me in Arabic, speaking badly of me again, in Arabic, I elevated my voice to respond to her repeating the word/phrase she used to describe me so they put the volume of the music up louder to drown me out. I sat there trying to finish my plate because I paid for it but I was not enjoying it at all.
About 10 mins later, the cashier girl came upto me to apologize & said that those 2 guys are always rude & they were driving her crazy. I believe she is related to the owners; however, she was speaking with them in Arabic & referring to me using a rude Arabic reference term after I paid. She did not need to insult me or be rude to me because those guys were irritating her. She contributed to the issue & was engaging in speaking in Arabic & assuming I do not understand while referring to me using an insulting reference so I decided to speak up.The guys that were the initiators of this continued to hide behind the counter & did not apologize for their barbaric behavior. I shared my experience with my friends on Facebook because I initially felt this was an attack against me because I am a female; however, some of my friends confirmed that they are just rude to everyone. They feel that their food is too good & that they can disrespect their clients & are cowardly about it too because they do it in Arabic so you won't understand. It takes a coward to go around insulting people in a non-official language & after knowing that I understood what they were saying, they weren't ashamed enough to apologize or refund me my meal. The instant reaction of the cashier is to get mad at me for calling her out & her staff out ..she is related to the owner & this is not acceptable. I will associate this experience with this restaurant & I will never go back. A thriving business has to love its clients, mocking clients & speaking badly about them, especially how they treated me & made me feel was just beyond rude, beyond mean & I will never step foot in their restaurant ever again. One of my friends called the store & asked for the owner's phone number, she said she felt bad about what happened but did not care to follow up with me or take actions to make sure that her staff are respectful of their clients. read more
