Absolutely love their food, I've had many different items from shawarma plate, to kebah, salads and wraps. Always amazing.

Most of their business is take out although there is room for maybe four people to sit at two counters. The owner was super friendly and accommodating. I asked him to make me a vegetarian plate of mixed salads and falafel while I moved my car. (The lot behind the restaurant doesn't belong to them and you'll get towed!) The pita, humus, babaganoush, papas bravos, and pickled turnips were very good. The standouts: 1. the lightest, airiest falafel I've ever had. If I knew felafel could be this good, I'd order it more often. 2. Rice with cardamum pods. Why have I never had cardmum in rice before? I've eaten at literally dozens of Middle Eastern restaurants, and this was a first. It was a new taste and absolutely raised the bar on the rice. Finally It's about Thyme was a bargain. I think I paid C$15 for an overflowing plate of food plus a bottle of water. The portion was so generous that I took it home and ate the leftovers for lunch the following day. And here's a lagniappe: the restaurant is across the street from the Salem Chapel British Methodist Episcopal Church where Harriet Tubman was a member. St. Catherarines, Ontario was one of the end points for the Underground Railroad.

This is a hidden gem. Super fresh food and bread. Lots of meat dishes but also very vegetarian and…read morevegan friendly.

Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The service was attentive, welcoming, and top-notch from start to finish. I know Almaza is known for their rotisserie chicken, but I chose to try their other dishes on this trip. Some may feel the prices are on the higher side, but honestly the prices are quite fair. Reason being is, there was enough food to feed two people. You can dine in or just order takeout, either choice you're going to have some good food. Kibbie- I liked these handheld Lebanese beef croquettes. The seasoning was good and it does come with some sauces, but I didn't need them. I was fine with how well the croquettes tasted alone Pastelillos- I loved these meat pies..I could eat these all day Mediterranean lamb plate- The bed of rice that comes with the dish, is totally different tasting that I have ever had. Manly because of the shaved almonds, and cinnamon. But by no means, do I have any complaints. The lamb pieces with this entree was a good compliment.
