All of the staff I interacted with were polite and professional, and that made the process more comfortable. However, I do have several complaints. Before driving all the way from Virginia to Ohio, we agreed on an out-the-door price of $35,000. When I arrived, I was told the price had been increased by $500, and there was very little willingness to negotiate after the fact. That was frustrating, especially after making such a long trip based on a prior agreement. The vehicle itself was also disappointing at delivery. The Bronco was very dirty, had only about 10% oil life remaining, and was given to me with almost no gas in the tank. It also needs the window wipers replaced. When I brought this up, Hunter said he would provide a gas card, but I was only given $12, even though it takes roughly $60 to fill the tank. The listing said it had 55,000 thousand miles but when I arrived it has 57,500 thousand. While I'm happy with the Bronco itself and the staff was friendly, the pricing change, lack of vehicle prep, and minimal effort to make things right took away from what should have been an exciting purchase experience.

I like subcompact cars, and this category is basically phasing out across the US; almost every subcompact model was discontinued between 2018-2020. I liked my 2012 hatchback Nissan, but, surprise!, that one's been discontinued, too. After several test drives of different makes/models, I decided to take a look at Nissan's sedan Versa. I came across a 2021 via the internet at Ricart. I called and talked with Leesa, told her what time I'd be in to dealership the next day. I basically know what I want in a car, and this model checked all the boxes: Must have cruise control; bluetooth connectivity; good air flow; and smooth down/up shifting gears in an automatic. I was very happy to see the car ready and waiting when I arrived as planned. Leesa was young and a good personality to work with. She didn't care where I drove on the test drive (which is a huuuugh plus in my book), so I was able to drive the streets and get on the freeway to test the cruise control. I decided this was the one, and that was that. She didn't try and sell me anything else, just shook my hand said congrats, let me get my manager, and smooth sailing. I will admit I've NEVER been a Ricart fan - I think it stems back to the annoying guitar "We're dealin!" Commercials from the dad, so it is what it is. I was really happy that everyone I dealt with, from the warranty man, to the cashier gal, had great attitudes and caught onto my sarcasm right away and punned back. Overall, my dealings with Ricart were hassle free. I've already taken advantage of my lifetime car washes perk. On Friday, we called back and increased our offer, but were told no. Then this morning, a different salesperson called and said they knew we were interested in the vehicle. We explained our offer again, and were told to come in because they could "probably make it work." We stopped what we were doing, drove back to the dealership, and took the vehicle for another test drive. When it came time to discuss pricing, we were told the exact same thing as before: no change in price. We made another trip based on their suggestion that something could be worked out, but nothing had changed. If there was no flexibility on pricing, they should have told us before asking us to come back. Very disappointing and a waste of our time.

I have to post about our car buying experience at Buckeye Motor Sales. We were in a really bad…read moresituation and had just been hit by an 18 wheeler -- our almost paid off car totaled in a matter of a few days. I looked on Car Gurus and found a car that really impressed me and I inquired. The next day I called and talked to Steve and was immediately struck by how in depth he was about the car. He listened to my situation and let me tell him what we needed. We discussed the car and had several conversations that day and it was no time at all and we were approved by various lenders and we were arranging to drive to Delaware to finalize the purchase. Unfortunately I became really sick and couldn't make the trip for a few days and Steve was more concerned about my health than the sale. Which is not surprising since he is not a typical salesman. We came today, finalized the deal, signed, sealed, and after a few hours home with our new 2014 Chevy Cruze and it is JUST what we were looking for. 100,000 miles less than our totaled car, great payment and 1st payment not due for a month. Beautiful car, clean, great gas mileage, and so happy to say this Made in America and Made in Ohio car is Ours. Thank you Steve -- you have been a wonderful help to us. Thank you Sharon for your help and providing us excellent service. You are a great team and we highly recommend Buckeye Motor Sales and Steve and Sharon to anyone needing a new ride.
