Found them on Yelp. This company just recently started a knife sharpening service for retail customers (they have been doing it for many local restaurants for YEARS). Took my knives and scissors in at 1pm and they said they would be ready the next day. Great! However, they were ready by 4pm that very same day! Granted, it is off season but, wow! We picked them up and met Alex, who demonstrated how sharp our knives were now by easily slicing through a piece of paper. I was impressed. Alex then took us into his shop to show us how he did his magic. He said that they have also, for generations, sold a variety of knives, from value to the highest end German products at extremely competitive prices. At the time, the company was owned by my brother, Steve Sherman, who founded Sew Shore in 1986 and poured his heart into building the business. My husband loved those hats almost as much as he loved his boat. Sadly, we lost my incredible brother in 2019. After his passing, his longtime colleague, Jason Marshall, took over the business. Fast forward to 2026: *The Mighty Terrapin* needed repairs that would have cost more than the boat was worth, so we made the bittersweet decision to replace her with *The Mighty Terrapin II*. And of course, a new boat meant my husband needed new hats. I reached out to Jason -- whom I hadn't seen since my brother's Celebration of Life -- and asked if there was any chance the original embroidery file still existed. Within 20 minutes, he found it. I was honestly stunned. I contacted him on April 13, and by April 23 the hats had arrived via UPS from Naples, Florida, to Northern Virginia. I gave them to my husband for his birthday, and when I told him that Jason had GIFTED the hats to him, he was speechless. It wasn't just the hats that meant so much. It was the kindness. The loyalty. The fact that, years later, Jason still cared enough to help preserve a small piece of my brother's legacy. In a world where genuine customer service and personal connection can feel increasingly rare, Jason went above and beyond. I went into the Pak-n-Ship at Pebblebrook Naples, FL to help me get the labels printed & the packages returned. The staff are the most helpful people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They are so helpful. They even do extra things that need to be printed along with the labels, like reasons I am returning, etc. I don't even get invoices anymore so I have to create everything myself. I used to be able to just hand write everything myself on the invoices they sent and include them with the returns. they always print everything I will need, including a receipt for packages they've mailed. Even if I don't ask for a-receipt, I always get one. The woman who helped me today gave me plastic pouches to put the labels in before attaching them to the packages So nothing would happen to the labels if they got wet. Service is better than five stars. I think they deserve 10 stars for all the extra help they give! If they are eating lunch in the back and people come in for sssistance.they always come out and help them and interrupt their lunch. i've never seen that happen anywhere.
