No phone number available. They took over my account from another company (unbeknownst to me). They charged my card and I had no way to call them. I sent an email, which they finally responded to days later and cancelled my account. Total BS! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! read more

It appears Sharpenters is no longer in business. I returned my knives to them in the package they charged me for ( I had a recurring 6 month service) and I now see a new charge from another company "Knife Aid" and still no return of the knives. None of this was ever communicated to me, the customer (or to anyone as far as I can tell) beware. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY: Customer service is nonexistent... They send out a knife package and charge you 65 dollars. I need to charge back the charge which is a hassle. Why do you guys not have a phone number???? Do not use this company. What a bunch of Crooks; Lok at this response from them. They charged me $65.00 on my credit card. Just try and find a phone number for this company. Expenses they use ground from the US Postal Service. They make it tough to cancel. When they did call me back and I was pissed they hung up on me. Don't use this company. No customer service. Rip Off Company. Just read how the owner responded to me. They charged my Credit Card 6 months ago and I never used their service. The lady actually hung up on me. Just poking bears is not a smart thing to do read more

Ten dull knives sent in on Monday and sent back piercing sharp on Friday. Couldn't be better service. Thank you Guys. Randy read more

This is my second year sending them my knives (10 of them) and getting them returned to me via mail. First, it's an easy process. Select your service and how many knives you need done. They process your payment and send you prepaid envelopes to safely mail them to their location. Within 8 days, all 10 knives were back home. They were clean, they were in the same condition except....... They were sharp!!!!!! Very very very happy using Sharpenters!! I'm a yearly customer for good! read more

Sharpeners closed and their customer records were turned over to another company out of California called Knife Aid. No one ever notified me of this change. One day my credit card was charged by Knife Aid, (for $20 more than Sharpenters ever charged!) without any explanation as to who they were, how they got my name, address, email address or credit card number. I'd never heard of these people let alone requested service from them. It took them 3 weeks to reply to my many emails, but by that time, I'd already reported them to the Bank to dispute the charge. read more

I was skeptical, but these guys did awesome. The whole process was impressive, you get an envelope in the mail that is set up to be sent back and forth with your knives in a very secure and efficient way. My knives are now nice and sharp, they do not look worn or taken a lot of metal. Very clean work. Loved it! PS One of my knife points was broken while opening a bottle of wine and it was perfectly repaired for no extra cost. read more

I got a FB ad adverting their knive sharping services and did my reseach and it appeared to be a legit company and a service I can def use. Process was easy! THey mail you envelopes and directions and mail off your knives to be sent to them for sharping and then they mail them back! It took a week and my seven knives are good as new. read more

I love this service. Fast, reliable and a critical function if you love to cook! I do my knives every 6 months. It is always a challenge which knives I choose to sharpen. read more

They appear to have disappeared while still collecting fees. No response/contact information.

There's no phone number and zero customer service! Beware! I've requested a stop for services THREE times with no response or acknowledgement from them. They've managed to charge my credit card already. Stay away unless you're willing to handle the hassle. Never again will I deal with them again. #florida read more

I have used your service in the past with success but this time has been different. I sent my knives more that a week ago and have received no communication from the company regarding receipt, sharpening or return of my knives. Also, no reply to my inquiries. Not sure what is going on but not happy read more

Excellent service. Fast turnaround and very good communication. We will be using them from now on.

Great service. Quick shipping will most definately use them again. Having sharp knives makes things easy and sharpenters provides superior service read more

We just got our knives back and are so pleased with the results! Shipping was easy with the big envelope they sent. Plus the turn around time was very fast! We will absolutely be utilizing this service again year over year. read more

I wanted my knives sharpened and bought more than one sharpener. Without much success. I paid my money. They sent an envelope and just like manic they returned to me sharper than when new. Thank you so much. Hap read more

Amazing (full stop)! I sent them 7 knives that had seriously been neglected for years. We're talking, some of the blades were chipped, but all or dull and dangerous to use. Trust me, I know... The last cut on my hand from trying to slice a tomato convinced me that something needed to be done! anyway, I sent them seven knives. They stayed in touch with me throughout the whole process by sending me emails as the knives moved along and then when they returned, about a week later, they were literally sharper than I think they've ever been. Highly recommend you try this company. read more

Sharpenters - Love how Sharpenters took a few horribly dull knives and made them SUPER SHARP! - Knife Sharpening Near Me - Naples, Florida

My knives always come back super sharp. They process of sending them and returning them is easy and efficient.

Process was simple and straightforward. Knives were returned quickly and were well sharpened. Decent value when first time customer discount was applied. I did not sign up for the subscription service plan because I thought it was too expensive. read more

BEWARE, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! Lost my best knives, won't acknowledge or track what's missing, they played blame games for months and passed the buck to USPS. read more

The service was really well designed, time-efficient, and my knives were brought back to life! Great service!

My knives are gone! Sharpenters provided an envelope that ruptured during transit and all of the knives were lost. The Company freely admits that this problem has occurred in the past yet they continue to claim that the provided envelope is sufficient to transport knives. Worse, Sharpenters did not offer to replace the knives and was quick to blame the USPS and directed me to some fine print on their website. Terrible customer service. Do yourself a favor and use someone local and stay away for this company! read more

Awesome job on my returned knives. Made a second order. However, the problem is my envelope is aways pending. It's not immediately sent to me after my payment. It's always pending. read more

My only complaint is it took longer than outlined. I thought it would be under a week but it was more like 10 days but the knives came back nice n sharp. Not sure id use it again. Living without your knives is hard for 10 days read more

Great service, very very sharp knives. I sent 7 to get sharpened and one of them had a broken tip. It came back like it was brand new. Very impressed and highly recommend! read more

First I took my knives to Williams Sonoma to be sharpened and they were still dull when I got them back. Honestly don't think they even looked at them. I saw the sharpeners promotion online and figured that I had nothing to lose Shipping was fast and easy When I got my knives back this time they are sharp.. just like new read more

send three knives they came back. I gave them a good rating, but I apologize for that. They weren't much sharper than what I sent them.. was really pissing me off as I just had. My account billed again for service. I did not order on my credit card called it in changing credit cards. Be careful. read more

Great job. My knives are once again ALIVE.... Easy process My knives had severe damage and I actually thought I had to replace them. Great job guys :) read more

So, Sharpenters admitted they did not provide any sharpening service to me after I refused to agree to subscription service but took my $67 anyway. Businesses like Sharpenters use a subscription service when they have zero confidence the customers will return on their own once the customer has a chance to evaluate the price vs. value vs lead time exposure. Yes, they sharpen knives, yes they are sharp. But that's where value in the service ends. They knows this hence the need for a non refundable subscription service. Use them at your own peril the customer service experience will not be a positive one. read more

I picked this service for convenience that they offered. My local guy was retiring and I didn't want to drive to another location. A bit pricey but seemed to be easy. That's what I thought. So the first time things were not bad outside of the extremely long turnaround. Not at all what was promised. I had to contact them to inquire about my knives and they blamed the post office for the delay. But at least after a while I had my knifes back. Fast forward to next sharpening service... I wait and wait for my knives, finally I get a envelope back and ..... it's completely empty. And taped over funny. I refused excepting it so it would be sent back to Sharpenters just as I received it. It's been 2 months. They sent me emails blaming the post service again. Telling me that they presented my case to postal insurance department ( no they didn't, they admitted later that they had problems with stuff and nobody could do it?!?) then they told me that the amount of insurance is only $100 (which would not cover even the half of price). All the while insisting that the only way for knives to disappear was at the post office! Like it's unknown for employees to steal stuff unless they are postal employees. When I brought it up they alluded that my knives are not even really worth stealing since they sharpen knives that cost more than $500 a knive! Wow! Way to make customers feel little and cheap with their $250 sets of knives. Apparently only post workers are so desperate that they would be willing stoop down to it. Anyway, what a disaster! DO NOT TRUST HOUR KNIVES TO THIS COMPANY! read more

Impressive turnaround time considering the state of the USPS. It took a little longer than advertised, but not a problem for me. Very nice packaging made the mailing simple. Not all the knives were equally sharp, but in all satisfactory results. I believe the service was excellent. read more

I sent them four kitchen knives. They each came back duller than when I shipped them. Great service, great idea, great packaging, but not a good sharpening service. DDG no stars read more

If I could give them a negative star I would. I have had a terrible experience from the start and I was told I put the address in wrong. Their system doesnt allow you to send these as gifts basically. I have ordered 3 packages since May and 2 of my sets went to the wrong address. Luckily one was local and I fixed it... But one set of knives I sent from Bonita, FL was delivered to someone I sent a gift to (in Massachusetts) a few months back and they thought this was a second part of their gift! SHARPENTERS doesn't care to rectify the situation... And continues to blame me. Even though the address affiliated with my order is a Florida address not Massachusetts. Their system doesn't work that way, but they aren't accepting any responsibility. I asked about their 100% customer satisfaction guarantee on their website and they said, it's doesn't cover this situation. So, it's actually a LIMITED satisfaction guarantee. All I asked was for a refund, because now I have to guy buy 5 new knives for my friend this gift was for. I asked multiple times for a phone number to call or for someone to call me. They refused and will only email. That's nice though, bc my CC company has proof for their refund. read more

Response and customer services needs lots of work. Payment withdrawn on March 19th. Received a notification on March 21st that USPS "Operational Issues" were being experienced and asked to respond if UPS would be a viable option. Responded within 56 minutes of receipt of email to send the shipping envelopes. Today is March 26th and I still have yet to receive the shipping envelopes. I work in customer service. I am ok with being told there are issues, as long as I am communicated with. To exacerbate the issues, you have not phone number posted or listed in order to gain status. This is a terrible way to conduct business and shows little care towards physically hearing your customers. I have a cook-off to compete in on April 26th and 27th. I sincerely hope that your workmanship and turn around times are better than your communications. read more

Terrible customer service. Terrible turn times. No phone number so you cant call and find out where your expensive knives are. They sometimes respond to email, sometimes not. My knives sat at the USPS facility for ten days for some unknown reason, and no one there will help you. Definitely wont use ever again. read more

well, my knives were scary dull. They needed immediate attention. I checked out sharpenters and decided to give them a try. I have never sent out my knives to be sharpened before. Clearly. Email confirmations, shipping of the knives back-and-forth was very simple. They have this process down! I encountered a bit of a snafu with them ( my fault not theirs) and to my surprise they responded immediately and made it right. That was unexpected and I wholeheartedly appreciate that this company understands what customer service actually is. just make sure when you tell them how many knives you're sending that you actually send that many knives. I won't make that mistake again, but with how responsive their customer service was I will be sending my knives back when they need resharpening. thank you folks. you have single-handedly restored my faith in humanity. read more
