During that time, our annual propane refills have been: 2022: 40 gallons 2023: 45 gallons 2024: 56 gallons 2025: 66 gallons 2026: 67 gallons Despite our usage steadily increasing each year, I was recently informed that because we do not meet a new 70-gallon annual minimum, our tank rental fee is increasing from $48 per year to $190 per year--nearly a 300% increase. We only use propane for our gas logs and outdoor grill. At our last fill up, we were 3.3 gallons short of meeting the 70 gallon minimum. I contacted customer service by email, and my husband also called to discuss the situation and ask if there were any options or exceptions. We were simply told that nothing could be done. When we asked about having the tank removed instead, the response was essentially, "Just let us know, and we'll schedule the removal." I understand that our account is relatively small, and I realize policies can change. However, the complete lack of flexibility or willingness to work with a customer was extremely disappointing. Rather than trying to keep our business, the company seemed perfectly content to lose us. The fee increase is frustrating, but the customer service experience is what ultimately prompted this review. We are going to have the tank removed (I'm sure that will be a pleasant experience) and go with a local company.

Bobby from Burch Oil explained everything heat pump to me and helped me make informed choices. (Did anyone else know that Burch Oil installs and works on heat pumps?) One of the 4 ended up being a lemon (by no fault of Burch Oil), and it was a long road to convince the company that makes the heat pumps to replace it. Those at Burch Oil helped in every way they could and eventually it was replaced. Fast forward to nowadays. Another of the heat pumps stopped working at the beginning of this heat wave on Sunday. During every week I am an hour away caring for my elderly mother at her house and can't leave without arranging care for her. Burch Oil responded immediately to my call and worked with me to arrange an appointment the next day that I could be there for. James figured out what was wrong and ordered the part, and told me it is covered by warranty--I didn't even know that, but they keep track. The part arrived the very next day. Then Buddy in dispatching worked with me to arrange a time to install it 24 hours later when I could come home again--they may have been able to install it earlier, but I couldn't come any sooner. What a relief! I'm having my granddaughters at my house this weekend and originally thought there was no way the AC would be working by then, but Burch Oil came through, and everyone I talked to was helpful and friendly and concerned for me. I could never find the words to express how grateful I am for their help, caring and personal business model, and constancy over the years.

With a 1,000 gallon tank, that is a huge difference. For the last 9 years I have not been charged a tank rental fee, but I received a bill for over 300 dollars. When I called, they said I had not used enough propane, so they were charging me the fee. WHAT??? I bundled up, kept the thermostat on 67/68, and didn't use my fireplace much. By trying to save fuel(and money), Revere Propane decided to extract money a different way. Unreal. Very disappointed with this Company and their ethics. Would change if I could.
