After two months and several messages sent, I have received no response whatsoever from Sharpen It Now. No acknowledgment, no update, nothing. This level of non-communication is completely unacceptable for any company claiming to be reputable. If there was an issue or delay, basic customer service would be to respond and communicate. This is a true Mom and Pop outfit. He is retired, and had spent time in the military. He does a lot of business for various companies, and thus has many of the tools needed for most jobs with him in his car to take to those sites. I had him sharpen a scissors for me, and he agreed to meet me in a parking lot, two hours before he had an appointment nearby to sharpen tools for a company. It seemed a bit strange--these days people don't trust people they never met--but it was like at 10 a.m. that we were to meet, and he described his vehicle and gave me his license number, and I decided I'd give it a try. Americans are becoming so skeptical, and he was very forthright in our phone conversation. I went--found him easily, his wife was with him, we chatted and he had battery operated power tools that he used to quickly deal with my scissors. By the time we finished, I felt I had a friend as well as a good place to take my knives---which he gave me a lesson on how to keep sharp myself, using a honing tool which I already had but was using incorrectly. Nice people, Great Rates, pleasant conversations, and I didn't have to drop it off and come back in a week. He can to kitchen or pocket knives, scissors, yard tools, motor blades, drill bits, scissors, and I don't know what else. If he can't do it, he will tell you and not waste you time going to meet him somewhere. God Bless America! read more
