My family has been regulars at Sharp Corner Tavern for years. We've spent a lot of evenings there, usually with my grandpa. Tonight was the first night we went back after he passed away. The restaurant was nearly empty on a weekday night. There were multiple open 6- and 8-top tables available, and we chose a 6-top because the only open 4-top was directly next to the front door. Shortly after we sat down, another table left, making the place even emptier. A staff member came over and insisted we move because we only had four people, despite the fact that there was no crowd, no wait, and no practical reason the table would be needed. We explained that we were regulars, that the restaurant was empty, and even shared that the reason our usual fifth person wasn't with us was because my grandpa had just passed away. Instead of showing any flexibility or understanding, he continued insisting we move. The situation escalated, and our family ended up leaving without eating. I understand restaurants have policies, and I normally respect that. But there's also such a thing as judgment, hospitality, and basic human compassion. This felt less like customer service and more like someone enforcing rules for the sake of enforcing them. It was honestly disappointing from a place we've supported for years. read more

we t in to get some food to take home after listening to a band in herman. approximately 9.30 pm on friday the 11th of july. the 20 something boy tending bar would not allow me to order, he told me that my service dog could not be in there. he ask me for my tag. clearly nova had a vest stating service dog do not separate, do not pet working dog! i ask him what tag he was referring to. he became aggressive and told me to leave. u derstand this service animal is welcomed in every establishment in herman,except for sharps. disrespecting a disabled service conected veteran and his service dog to me is unacceptable in any form. will be contacting the dav,the chamber of commerce and everyone i can that sharps tavern is very disrepecfull to the men and woman who have served this nation. make sure you let the boy with the black hair approximately 24 years old how mych he is appriciated for his actions. we will see where this gows from here. i welcome the owners to responde to me and fix there problem they have with the punk bartending in there establishment. by the way i dont drink just wanted to try there food. ​ read more

Just an all around bad experience. Incredibly rude bartenders, insane rules that only seem to apply to tourists and not locals, apps they insist on using to scan IDs that don't work. Consistent source of great greasy cheeseburgers that won't break the bank. Sometimes service is a little strained when they are really busy, but they do their best. Their fountain soda is weak and so I always get something from a can instead. The pizza is also good, but you need to eat it right away because I don't think it's near as tasty once it cools. Some of the fried items aren't available on the weekend, which I don't necessarily understand...wouldn't that be the easiest things on the menu to cook? Take away one star for indoor smoking, would rather not deal with that while eating. read more

Our Philly steak sandwich was good. The chicken salad was mediocre, but very edible. They do not make much in house in this tavern. The place was sort of cleaned. However, the corners were very dirty. I was surprised to see the staff smoking at the bar and then going to the back to make a pizza. I couldn't tell if the person washed their hands or not. read more

First off I will say that the food was pretty decent and the price was more than fair. We placed an online order for five people. That must not be their strong suit, because the woman was quite perturbed and constantly sighing on The phone, in between the incessant "what else?" We thought perhaps they were busy, it was the Saturday evening after Thanksgiving at about 5:00 PM. Wife and I walked in, And counting the three people working, we made the population rise to a total of five people in the whole establishment. We got four burgers with fries, An order of wings, and a salad. When we arrive to pick it up it was in a medium sized brown paper sack (not like a lunch bag, but the next size bigger). I was certain that they must have missed some of our order because of how much food we had and the size of the bag it was in, so I asked is everything in there and the lady behind the counter who was the wonderful call taker, told me that it was. I open the bag to check. We were missing a small side salad, but other than that everything was jammed in there. Can you say Smashburger?? I am not one to typically complain, especially after having a small business of my own, but just the overall rudeness on the phone, and then the way the order was packed and not even checked for accuracy all the Way, really made us feel like we were putting these three workers out or something. It would be a little more acceptable had they been busy. I don't know maybe they were watching a television program and we interrupted it, who knows? The service leaves a lot to be desired, and may be some interpersonal skills development. Just had dinner here on 06/13/20 @ 5 pm so you (owner) will know who was cooking & bartending/serving. Downright awful all the way around. Ordered a Double Cheeseburger that was set on the bar without any utensils, napkins, etc..., had to ask for silverware and felt like I was interrupting. Also ordered a Lg Pizza and I would have been far better off driving to Casey's to get one because it sucked! We come to Hermann a couple times a year and have always eaten here but would have to be in dire straights to try your place again, sorry, this was a horrible experience!!! read more

Service was quick, the burger was great, the beer was ice cold, and the prices are low. Great Herman hole in the wall spot.

This place is a total Hermann hole-in-the-wall, but the beer is SUPER cheap and the burgers are greasy good diner type burgers. If you're an out of towner (like me), the locals will definitely be staring at you and wondering what you're doing at "their" spot. The staff is very nice if you feel like striking up a conversation. This is not the Hermann "tourist" bar like the Barrell Bar or Bank Bar. The decor is...interesting. The owner has hung numerous old beehives throughout the ceiling and the paint is chipping off pretty much every wall. I would also try not to use the bathrooms unless you're desperate. They also have Keno and a jukebox. Basically, don't expect a classy joint if you go...it's not that, and it's not trying to be that. It just is what it is. Order a burger, enjoy a cold one and understand that you are an outsider in the local watering hole. read more

Service was awful. Slow to get drinks. We waited for what seemed like and eternity just for a bottle of beer. Bar was empty, no reason to take this long. We went ahead and ordered only to wait another 20 minutes for a burger. Finally asked for my card back, signed the check and left. Cook was rude to another customer.
