After my dog knocked my beloved MacBook Pro onto the wooden floor, you can imagine what happened…read morenext--the screen cracked in the corner. My Mac is my lifeline, so I needed to get it fixed as soon as possible. Thanks to Yelp, I was able to request quotes from multiple repair shops. Alex responded to my request on a Thursday evening, which I really appreciated. I received one other quote, but this shop was closer and significantly more affordable at $350 instead of $600. The next day, I spoke with Ahmad and paid in advance so they could order the replacement part. They informed me that it would arrive sometime between Monday and Wednesday. Later, they even called me back to confirm that I wanted a Grade A screen, explaining that while it wasn't completely brand new, it was still covered by a one-year warranty. If I preferred a brand-new screen, it would cost an additional $50. I asked Ahmad for his honest opinion on which option was best for me, and he recommended the Grade A screen over the new one. I trusted his advice and went with that option. I dropped off my Mac on Wednesday at 9 AM, and by 11:30 AM, I received a call saying it was ready for pickup. Ahmad made the entire process as smooth and painless as possible, and I can't express how much I appreciated that. I highly recommend this place!

I'm extremely disappointed with the level of professionalism and customer service I experienced at…read morethis OfficeMax location, specifically in the printing department. Earlier today, I came in with a laminating job that I needed completed the same day. I made that timeline very clear from the start. Tyler assured me that the job would be completed by 4 PM, which is why I agreed to move forward and paid for the service upfront. I even tipped Tyler as a gesture of appreciation for good customer service, expecting that my order would be handled responsibly. Unfortunately, I later received a call saying that the job cannot be completed until Monday. This is completely unacceptable. I came to the store early specifically to ensure the job would be done today, and now my schedule and plans have been disrupted because of a lack of follow-through. If I had known from the start that same-day service was not possible, I would have gone elsewhere. What makes this worse is that this seems to be part of a recurring issue at this location. Several recent reviews mention service and reliability problems, which suggests this is not an isolated incident but a pattern. OfficeMax is a national brand, and with that comes the expectation of professionalism, accountability, and dependable service. Paying for a service, being promised a same-day completion, and then having that promise broken is unacceptable and undermines trust in the brand. I would appreciate it if someone from corporate could contact me to address this situation. Please provide the appropriate corporate customer service or escalation contact so this matter can be resolved. I hope this feedback helps improve service at this location, as experiences like mine should not happen at any OfficeMax store.

Two weeks, no repair, and my laptop came back damaged. Avoid this shop…read more I brought in an Intel MacBook with charging and logic board issues. Apple's Genius Bar had already diagnosed it, and I brought their written diagnosis, the part numbers, and a repair process I had researched. Before going in, I called to confirm they offered this repair and was told to bring it in. At the shop, I was told a diagnostic fee was required, cash only, and I was given no receipt for the payment. I wasn't comfortable leaving my device, but I felt pressured and paid. I was told I'd get an update within two days. Timeline 9/9: Dropped off the device. 9/11: Got a call that suggested they weren't sure which device was mine. I was told the technician was still working on it. 9/17: I called for an update and got the same answer. Later that day they said they would try new charging ports, even though I had told them at drop-off (and Apple's diagnosis noted) that this had already been tried and ruled out. They said they'd text me a list of other parts to order. I never received it. 9/18: After I followed up by text, they said they couldn't repair it. I said I'd pick it up and was told to come between 6 and 7 pm. I texted during that window and got no response. 9/19: Went to the store and was told the device would arrive that evening. I followed up before closing and was told to come back the next day. 9/20: Texted to ask if it had arrived and was told to come the following day. 9/23: After I mentioned filing a police report, I was told it was at the store and I could pick it up. The laptop came back with scratches on the lid, missing screws, and cross-threaded screws. None of this was present when I dropped it off. Photos attached. In total: a cash-only fee with no receipt, missed promises, unanswered messages, no repair, and damage to my property. I would not recommend this shop.
