So here's my review of the Costco Warehouse from Jul 11, 2021.] Fifteen years since I let me Sam's Club membership lapse and I've not rejoined a wholesale club since. But now that we're making our own dog food for our girls, it's time for bulk buying meats and veggies so we're checking out Costco. Yep, they have everything and they have it in massive quantities. Not just food, mind you. Appliances, shoes, tshirts and underwear, computers, televisions, vision and optical, a full-service pharmacy and even a discounted gas station out front. If you're looking for a mecca to capitalism, world trade and just-in-time marketing, this is the spot. The process to sign up took entirely too long because the young lady wanted to talk and we just wanted to shop. But then we had our card and our shopping cart and we're filling it up with a bunch of stuff that we needed, we just didn't know that we needed. Keto pizzas, fresh grapes (not for the dogs!), a massive bag of spinach (yes, this is for the dogs), several bags of frozen veggies and more. Not everything was cheaper than Amazon or ALDI, but lots of things definitely are. You will want to be careful, don't shop hungry, and be aware that just because they sell it, that doesn't mean that it's the cheapest way to get it. We walked out with $330 worth of stuff. About what I expected. Costco gasoline is about 30 cents cheaper than the cheapest station in Charlotte. Now that South Carolina has raised their gas prices and it's no longer worth detouring past Carowinds for a tank of gas, I suspect I'll be back here just for gas. Fueling up at Costco Gasoline is still one of the best perks of being a Costco member. The prices…read moreare consistently competitive, and they offer two octane options--87 regular and 91 premium--which keeps things simple and affordable. One feature I really appreciate is how thoughtful the setup is. The fuel hoses are intentionally designed to be extra long, so they can reach either side of your vehicle. That means you don't need to hunt for the "perfect" lane based on where your gas cap is. Any lane works--the shorter the line, the better. That said, this particular location isn't quite as efficient as some other Costco gas stations I've visited. They have fewer pumps--typically two on each side--so the flow can feel slower compared to larger stations that accommodate more vehicles at once. While the line usually isn't too long, it would be helpful to see the roaming attendants be more proactive in engaging with drivers--guiding people to move forward, offering quick instructions when needed, and helping keep traffic flowing smoothly. Overall, it's still a solid, reliable place to fuel up with good pricing and a smart design. With a little more active coordination from staff during busy times, the experience could be even better. Insider tip: Don't stress about which side your gas cap is on--those long hoses are designed to reach either side of your car, so just pick the shortest line and pull in.

The Costco gas station off Tyvola Rd is very small, with a lot fewer pumps than the Costco I usually frequent. it opens a couple hours before the store so I went very early in the morning before the rush. They would probably benefit from having more pumps, I can imagine it gets congested during hours when the store is open.

This one is right outside of my new neighborhood and literally in the Teeter parking lot. It's perfect, and the savings can be significant. Since I had never used my fuel points before, I saved $1.00 (the max) off of each gallon on my first fill-up. I went from empty to full for less than $10. Now that I am using the points more regularly, I am saving an average of 40 cents per gallon, but this will vary depending on how much shopping you do at Harris Teeter. As long as you are a Harris Teeter Vic member, you save something. I believe the minimum, even if you have no points, is 3 cents off per gallon. The station is clean and offers ample pumps with easy access. You can purchase convenience store type items from the teller, but there is now walk-in access. The workers are always very friendly as well.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is my review of the store as a former employee:…read more As a former employee of Harris Teeter in Belmont, NC; I consistently experienced the most stressful work environment I have ever encountered in my 38 years of life due to gross workplace bullying from my department manager, unrealistic productivity standards due to lack of training and this particular store's overall disregard for the final product quality, and immense gossip culture. I worked in the high demanding medical field as a licensed medical assistant for 10 years making nearly $10 more and hour than what I made as an employee at Harris Teeter, but after having my son and being out of the workforce for 3 years, I landed upon a job doing something involving a much loved enthusiasm of mine that involves one of their retail departments. I thought that I had picked a job that might involve typical retail workplace stressors, but nothing prepared for the toxic environment I was about to experience. On my first day of work, my department manager made it known to me that they resented the fact that I was hired without previous experience and not by them specifically. From day one on, my manager proceeded to give me minimal training. My manager's department rules and day-to-day methods for the way they EXPECTED me to do certain tasks were condescending and changed from one breath to the next or were completely not communicated to me. I was frequently yelled at and berated with customers present by my department manager on a daily basis as a result. My manager was doing this stuff on purpose. It was manipulation tactic to drive me out. I was constantly walking on eggshells and never knew if I was doing the task at hand correctly according to the rules of the day, which obviously gave me massive amounts of anxiety. The department manager also tried their best to manipulate me into thinking I had no choice but to work on my specified unavailable days during a certain holiday week because our specific department was known for being extremely busy during this holiday. It did not matter to my manager that working those days would create a financial hardship for my family. I would essentially be paying a babysitter my entire day's worth of pay. Upper management essentially gave my department manager a "firm talking to" 3 times in regards to the way they would yell at me me, but then turned around and gaslighted me by saying that I needed to "be faster" and "more productive" because if I was faster at processing trucks and handling customer service, my manager would have the time to train me properly. Don't even get me started on the constant gossiping going on in that store. On my first day of work, I must have had at least 5 people approach me to tell me some horror story about my boss being terrible at work towards other employees and things my manager does in their life outside of work. Working at Harris Teeter in Belmont had a negative impact on my mental health for the 5 months I worked there. I finally had enough and quit my job there, which was one of the most liberating experiences I've ever had. I honestly have lost total respect for the company as a whole because of my experience as an employee for this store. Fortunately for me, I can move on and get back to playing with my plants at home and flowers in the garden this spring and summer.
