This review is for Marcos whom I regularly go to for a beard trim and and haircut. He always does a great job. He is easy to work with and alters my haircut based on any suggestions I have. I enjoy the service that he provides and hope to continue going to Marcos at this location ! read more

I recently moved to moraga last year and needed to find a barber and I ran across Pranav at Sharps and immediately I knew I found my barber. He really cares about his clients and always has a positive attitude every time. Super attentive when it comes to scheduling and booking an appointment. This place really makes clients feel like family and Pranav is an asset to this shop! Come down and see for yourself. read more

You guys do the best haircuts I have ever had you guys are best in the business you guys are nice to people and you are gentleyou guys are the best read more

My boyfriend gets his haircut here, and he always comes home looking so SHARP.--sorry, I had to. Really though, I've seen the difference between the quality of cut from here in comparison to his previous haircuts from somewhere else. Decided to write this review because I came in with him recently, and the place was awesome. The vibe of the shop was relaxed and unique, yet very professional. This was the first time I have ever been in a Barber Shop, and I could see why my boyfriend was so adamant about coming here. Gabe & EJ are the guys he books appointments with. They know what they're doing, they do it with style, are friendly and consistent. While I was in there, I also noticed that many of them had younger clients, and they were so good with them. I think one of the kids must've been 3 or 4, and it was sweet to see him treated like one of the men when they were in the chair. read more

Jimmy might be one of the best barbers in the East Bay. His cuts are on point and super precise. With his attention to detail, I'm always amazed by the quality of his haircuts. read more

Super nice spot, neat and clean in there, the guys in there are always friendly and JB took care of me and got me looking sharp (pun intended). For sure recommend this spot and will be booking my next cut soon read more

Their new location is large, comfortable and the atmosphere is fun and upbeat. Going to Sharp is part haircut, part community. I brought my son and he left loving the haircut and the experience. Most importantly, when we got home the haircut passed the MOM test. "You Look Great!" she said :] read more

These guys know hair! We've been here a few times. Most recently I brought my son for a haircut with Gabe. He is so amazing! Very chill and cool ambiance. I see you guys walking in and grabbing a cold drink from the back. I may have to ask about that next time when I bring my kid in! Moms the drinks too! read more

Have to update my review to 3 stars. Visited once they reopened from the pandemic in June. My barber was barely wearing a mask, it was a handkerchief that drooped down maybe 3" from his nose. He also reached out to shake my hand with no gloves. I didn't feel very safe or comfortable there. I ended up going to a shop in Berkeley after that where I felt much more safe. They took your temp and had you use sanitizer before being allowed in. It's a shame because the Sharp barbers do give a great cut and they are less than 1/4 mile from my place. Edit: after restrictions and the such are lifted and we are somewhat back to normal, I will still recommend Sharp as they really do have great barbers there. read more

This is probably the best barbershop I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The ambience was amazing and the staff was even better. The atmosphere was very homely, yet still very professional my haircut was exactly to my liking. My barber was Josh Bulla a young, up-and-coming amazing barber. His conversation was uplifting, and his skills did not disappoint. read more

If some gives the bad reviews, that doesn't mean you don't accept that person in the future. Take it as a challenge and improve your attitude and service and win the heart of the customers .. running away and rejecting the customers are considered cowardliness .. be a man and accept the customer by improving your services ... grow up guys ... read more

I've been getting cut for a while now at Sharp barbershop. I come in to get cut by Josh B. He takes great care of all his clients and has great communicating skills for scheduling. Go get a cut ! read more

Nico trimmed and shaped my beard. I have tried many places and this was by far the best I have received. Would recommend, and will definitely be returning. read more

Started growing a beard for the first time Jan 2017 after 3 months of growth I began checking YouTube videos on how to best shape and trim by beard. After staring in the mirror for 30 minutes with a pair of scissors and an electric trimmer I realized I have no idea what I'm doing. I started searching Yelp for a legit barber shop. That's when I found Sharp Barber shop. I made an appointment and went to see Sheldon. The shop itself is "sharp". Old school chairs and decor. The service is first class. Best of all my beard got proper treatment. Sheldon recommended a style for the look I wanted. I wouldn't consider letting anyone else touch my beard. Sheldon and EJ are great guys. I always enjoy visiting with them. Really a first class production! Five stars across the board. (Haven't gotten my hair cut yet but when I do I'll be back to update my post". Haircuts are legit. No where better to get a clean, fresh cut. All these guys have skills. read more

I am glad that I found a barbershop that I enjoy coming to! EJ always does a stellar job with my hair and leaves me feeling great about my looks! I find the staff to be pretty good about abiding by COVID regulations. It is highly convenient to live less than ten minutes walk away from the shop too. read more

Finally, a place that I can get an amazing haircut, constantly! In my past experiences, I have never had a good, constant, haircut. Angelo is my go-to guy! Hes by far the best barber I have ever had. He knows exactly what to do. I now take my son (8 years old), and he loves it! Adult drinks are offered for adults, and juice for the kids. SHARP is the best place for a traditional barber cut or shave. read more

This is the best Barbershop in town. The atmosphere is great, good service and top quality cuts. JB has never done me wrong and I would highly recommend you give him a try if you can find any availability on his calendar. Protip: if you schedule your cut for a weekday afternoon or weekend you can also have a cold tapped brew to round out the day! read more

I love SHARP, and they are hands down the best barber shop in the East Bay. Convenient location right off the freeway next to BART, really clean and nice shop with an old school vibe (with old school tunes as well!). Angelo is my guy, and is the best barber I've ever had. I've seen him three times now, and I know that I'll never go anywhere else for a cut again. They also do shaves for when my beard gets crazy, and the hot towel straight shave experience can't be beat either. Would give six stars if I could! read more

After three times getting my haircut here I decided it was time for a review. I want to say that the place is amazing! If you are looking for a barbershop with people that really listens to you, this is the place. Barbers are super friendly, you can see their expertise, place is super clean, the vibe of a garage is so cool. They offer you drinks at no cost, and hey great beer from the place just in front of them. Parking is not an issue. I want to highlight Nico's work, he is one of the best barbers I have ever had. I came without an specific idea of what I wanted and he just listened to me and did such a fantastic job. The owner is super cool, super welcoming. And I have to say I felt so welcomed in this place, as part of lgbtq community in other barbers I just feel odd and not really welcome, but here that is not the case. Price is fair and worth it for the attention and the details. So I highly encourage you to go and check it out! read more

Jimmy definitely hooked it up! Last min haircut, mid afternoon on a Tuesday!? I appreciate you sir! Thank you again for the great customer service, fresh cut and making me feel welcome! I'm glad I stopped by and found this place! I'll be back, every other week, for sure! If anyone needs a recommendation at this location, ask for Jimmy! read more

Had a great cut by Jimmy! Jimmy was great at listening for what I wanted and totally delivered! Awesome cut and super easy to style!

About 2 years ago I was in search for a new barbershop. A friend referred me to Sharp and it really changed my life, and they will do the same for you. I have been getting my hair cut by Gabe; amazing work and awesome guy. Even though I have only had my hair cut by Gabe, I can guarantee all of the other barbers are professional and can be trusted to deliver a great haircut. Book your appointments now! read more

Friendly, local barbershop. Love the vibe and the haircuts. Btw, they have another shop in Pleasant Hill.

If you're looking for a cool Barbershop (Italicize the word "cool") this is the place to go. I'd consider setting up my own business across the street just to BS with these guys. A true gentlemen's place, from about 50 years ago. Went in for a beard trimming. EJ took me as a walk-in (though I called ahead). Chatted about cars, the art of the hair, got to know EJ and Sheldon a bit. Real welcoming. On to the trim... Rule of thumb. Contract business with someone that is a walking embellishment of their business. This guy had the beard that I wanted! He explained to me how we should go at it, and I was game. Came out great, shaped perfectly. Conversation was great. I'll be back. Probably just gonna throw my shavers away, can't risk another f* up on my end. lol! End of story. Check this place out. read more

Every positive thing I want to say has been said many many times by other reviewers here. Love the traditional FAMILY feel. Super cool Gabe gives an awesome cut. read more

This barber shop hands down is the best in the Bay Area!! Yeah, I said it and I'm a firm believer. Special shout to my boy Angelo who cuts my hair but everyone in this barber shop is on point! I recommend you make and appointment try this shop out once they open up, you won't regret it! read more

Great place to go for a haircut! Been to two or three places in San Francisco and Bay Area since moving out here. Struggling to find a barber that listened to what I wanted - and deliver! After reading Yelp reviews and a recommendation from a friend of a friend, I decided to check Sharp Barbers out. Great decision! I've been to EJ a couple of times and I've been very very happy with the result. EJ really listened to what I was looking for. It is obvious that he takes great care and pride in his work. Checking and double checking to make sure everything looks good. Excellent knowledge of hair products too - helped me to find excellent clay to use which is better than the previous product I was putting in my hair and loved! Price is reasonable and the business has a cool vibe to it too. Would highly recommend for those struggling to find a place to go for a trim in the Bay Area. read more

A+, top notch. Professional, interesting, and very very high quality. Found my new shop!!! Love that they teach apprentices too!

I hopped around from barber to salon to Supercuts (low point) since moving to Lafayette and nothing ever really stood out. Then came Sharp Barber. I saw good reviews prior to making an appointment, and the experience has exceeded the original expectation. This is a fantastic place and look forward to each trip. Read another review that stated he started growing a beard after coming here, and can say the same thing! EJ should add "Beard Guru" to his business card :) Customer service, professionalism, laid back atmosphere, its all there! read more

This is my second time taking my son for a hair cut at Sharp in Lafayette . My son, who is 2, is totally comfortable and loves getting his hair cut by Gabe. The shop is very relaxing and hip...if that matters to you. Pretty sure they offer whiskey to the patrons, just not the toddler ones. All three barbers are super friendly and not too cool for school. read more

Great environment and even better cuts. I went for a very important hair cut and Chris got me right.

Hands down the best barbershop around. True professionals. Great atmosphere, impeccably clean, and just a fantastic traditional barber shop with a modern twist. A staple in the community. I drive all the way from brentwood just to come see them. Absolutely worth the trip. If I could give more stars I would. read more

A lot of people bounce around from barber to barber trying to find someone that consistently gives you that haircut that makes you feel like you can conquer the world when you get out of the chair. I've been getting cut by Sheldon since I was 19 and till this day I have never received a bad haircut from this man. He asks you what you want and makes sure that by the time you leave the shop you're 100% happy with the result. Between Sheldon, EJ, and Angelo you're always in good hands, Just make sure you make an appointment because everyone is trying to get their weekly fix from these magicians. Best barbershop in the nation hands down! read more

Really glad I found this place. I live in SF and all barbers have been closed due to COVID for months. This was my first time going to Angelo and it won't be my last - I'll make the trip out because I had a great experience. Angelo is friendly, gives a great haircut and went out of his way to accommodate me even though I was late for my appointment. I highly recommend this shop! read more

Look, my son wants a cool hair cut and we have tried the shops in Walnut Creek and Concord. So I was the guniea pig trying a local place. Sheldon took great care of me and gave me a great cut. My 12yr old son was impressed. Sheldon is also a car but and we bonded talking about Datsuns and Volvos. Regardless of your interests just know that all of the staff is friendly, not pretentious, talented, and made us feel welcome. Can't wait to go back! Thanks guys! read more

Sorry. I can't believe the positive reviews, because my experience was awful. My barber didn't listen, wasn't polite (unless you think being on your cell phone is OK while cutting someone's hair is OK). Really disappointed. I read the YELP reviews before so now I think many are either their good friends who haven't had a cut or shave...like a lady saying "if you are lucky enough to get an appt" PLEASE we are not stupid! You can easily walk in. Fake review. Sad. read more

Venue Review If you're looking a clean, friendly, WELCOMING barber shop, this is the place for you. How many times have you walked into a barber shop and just didn't feel that friendly welcoming vibe? I know I have, these guys know all about what customer service and professionalism is and because of that they've created a great environment where not only a young guy can come get a great cut but older gentlemen as well and not feel like they don't belong. SP : Sheldon Torson I think Sheldon has been my barber for maybe 5+ years now and never once have I ever had a bad experience! His professionalism and attention to detail are the reason I continue to come back every other Saturday and why his shop continues to thrive! read more
