I've been bringing my son to Sharky's for haircuts since his very first one, and at this point it's pretty embedded in our routine. He's five now, which feels like a long enough runway to have a real opinion. Overall, the experience is strong and, more importantly, repeatable. From a haircut standpoint, it's been consistently good with a little variation depending on the stylist. I usually ask for a longer, shaggy, surfer-style cut, and Reese has been the standout. She's calm, asks thoughtful questions before she starts, and most importantly, delivers the same result every time. That consistency matters more than anything. There have been a couple of one-off moments with other stylists where the cut skewed a little... medieval pageboy. Not terrible, just not quite what I was going for. It reinforced the strategy: find your person and stick with them. The setup is very kid-oriented in a way that actually works. Car-shaped chairs, individual TVs at each station, and a pace that keeps things moving without feeling rushed. They clearly know how to cut hair on kids who don't sit still, which is a real skill. The reward at the end doesn't hurt either. Lollipop, balloon, the whole thing. One especially thoughtful touch is their first haircut package. They take a lock of hair, package it up, and really make a moment out of it. It sounds small, but it's not. That first haircut sneaks up on you emotionally, and having that little golden curl saved has ended up meaning more than I expected. Logistically, it's pretty easy to make this work in real life. Booking online is straightforward, and during the week I've been able to get in same day or with just a day's notice. Weekends seem busier, but manageable if you plan ahead. They do occasionally run 15 to 20 minutes behind, but it's predictable enough that I just factor it in. One small usability note: the booking system across locations looks very similar, and it's surprisingly easy to book the wrong one if you're not paying attention. I've done it. That said, they were accommodating and got me in anyway, which helped. The waiting area is a bit tight, but turnover is quick so it hasn't been a real issue. One thing that stands out over time is how comfortable they are working with kids who are constantly moving, negotiating, or just doing their own thing. Overall, this is a reliable, low-friction option that feels designed for how kids (and parents) actually operate. Not perfect across every stylist, but very solid once you find your lane. read more

Came here for the first time last week and Reese was the absolute best! I'm so happy my daughters were able to experience such a fantastic time with her. She was kind and patient with both of my daughters! :) thank you Reese! read more

I'm really disappointed with our experience at this Sharkey's. I'm a young mom, and while my 2-year-old was getting his haircut, the man cutting his hair became visibly frustrated every time my son moved his head. He wasn't crying or misbehaving; he was just being a toddler... looking at the screen, reacting when the door opened, and then focusing back on the toy car he was sitting in. Something else that stood out was that I had to dust the hair off my own son when the haircut was done. I watched the stylist use a lint roller and brush to clean up the previous child, but for us, he didn't bother. I ended up doing it myself, which made the situation feel even more dismissive. What really bothered me was how his whole attitude changed once my son's grandma (my mom) arrived. He suddenly became more patient and gentle. It made me feel like he assumed that because I'm young, I wouldn't speak up. I'm not someone who likes confrontation or causing problems, but that doesn't mean my feelings don't matter or that I'm not paying attention. And once I got home, I noticed one side of my son's haircut wasn't even cut correctly. The line around his ear is noticeably uneven, and it's really disappointing after everything that already felt uncomfortable. My son is normally very calm during haircuts, and we've never had an experience that made us feel judged or unwelcome. A place made for kids should be understanding, patient, and supportive of all parents. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case today, and we left feeling sad instead of cared for. read more

The staff was somewhat friendly and our son's haircut turned out pretty well. It does feel overpriced for a mid-range cut. The stylist didn't cut it exactly as the inspiration imagery and seems like she didn't really want to be there. Our TV screen was broken. read more

I had two appointments made for a Sunday at this location then found out one Sharkey's opened closer to my house I was unaware of. I called last minute to cancel and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. My two previous visits to this location were great; kids loved the experience and will not get haircuts anywhere else. read more

We had an appointment for 3:20 today and arrived early. Upon checking in, we were told that they had "severely overbooked" and the appointment would be a few minutes late. At 4pm, 40 minutes after our appt, we were told it'd be another hour. Super disrespectful to the customers. Even more absurd that they can't manage their own bookings. We walked out alongside 3 other families that had enough of the wait and attitude. I highly recommend you find someplace that respects your and your child's time. Sharkey's definitely doesn't. read more

What a dream place! We went 2 weeks ago and my daughter is already asking when she can get another haircut And not only is the service incredible with the manicure, bow, balloon and experience but her cut was actually good too! read more

This place is really slipping. we've been going here for years and for the last year every time we are in someone has "called out" or they are understaffed for some reason. Today, my daughter got her hair washed and partially dried (not cut not styled) before she asked to have more time to decide on her hair. Since they are under staffed they quickly moved over to my son to start his cut. My daughter ended up not have anything else done so she can think about her hairstyle a bit more. They still charged me $30. That on top of feeling rushed, the fact that my son's curly hair was cut unevenly, again, we are never coming back here. Too bad, too. User to be much better. read more

Today, my son got his first ever haircut! Dani was super cheerful and helpful and just overall great! We were a walk in and she was quick to help us out!! She knows what she is doing!! read more

Could not be happier. What an awesome experience. The kids LOVED it. My girl was in heaven. A cut, blow dry AND nails! All in the same place geared for kids. Thank you! They also had amazing products. So happy about finding this spot read more

Our daughter's first haircut had us all nervous as she suffers from high social anxiety. We arrived early to give her a chance to see other kids sitting still and staying calm. As soon as she got to pick out her police car, she was all smiles for the duration! Claudia W. was patient and kept the toys coming to get the angles needed. She even got her nails done for the first time. We will happily return! read more

Wow! I've been taking my daughter to adult salons (and paying a fortune) because these kids salons can be hit or miss with their stylists. Well I'm thrilled to say that MARINA did a phenomenal job cutting my girl's hair. She styled it, added cute little tinsel and polished her nails. I was envious of the spa day my daughter was having with Marina! I'm so glad we found this place. As long as Marina is there, we'll be loyal customers! read more

I typically don't leave reviews, but I wanted to give credit where credit is due because I'm always amazed with how my 1 1/2 year old son's hair comes out every time because he is pretty much always screaming and moving around the entire time. Marina has been the hairstylist that we've seen every time so I can only speak on her abilities as far as haircuts, but the staff that's there on Sundays typically try their best to entertain my son which is always appreciated even though he usually don't fall for any of it. I've gotten my sons haircut elsewhere before which I wasn't satisfied because it would turn out pretty messy and I mean I don't blame them since my son isn't an easy cut, but Marina somehow gets it done. read more

They do ***NOT*** listen to what you want. I'll show you what we asked for and then what we got. We brought in a shaggy haired kid who just needed to be tidied up. This looks cheap, not texturized, basic, cheugy. This is what happens when a hairdresser learns ONE haircut and doesnt have real training or experience. Clippers never should have even COME OUT. Never going back here. This cut is from Marina. read more

We took my son here Friday march, 8th and the lady there told us she could help us at 12:30 and come 12:30 her coworker came in with her dog and she took her sweet time getting to us. Then while she was cutting my son's hair she completely ignored him and talked to her coworker. She made my husband clean him off and we had to wait for her to stop playing with her coworkers dog to pay. She also wouldn't let us tip on our card and made us tip cash. She did an awful job. My sons hair is so messed up. I wouldn't go back. Cookie cutters is literally across the street and they do an amazing job in half the time. They also engage with the kids. I'm so disappointed in this place. Also she told her coworker she hadn't been that busy and she was cleaning out her car and didn't even notice there was a man that had been waiting in there for 10 minutes... read more

I took my daughter in here to get a quick trim, because her hair was getting so long. I thought maybe she was a bit old because she's beyond sitting in the race-cars. I was so pleasantly surprised that they had a whole area for older girls to get color tinsel, a huge mirror, a nail section etc. We will definitely be coming back with her friends. Thanks for the cute cut Sharkey's! read more

My first ever time booking an appointment here was October 25th, last month and I LOVED my experience here with Grisel that day!! She was amazing with my son!! Supper sweet, was patient and courteous and he is definitely a handful and does the whole nine of crying and squirming around but she played NO games and got down. His haircut came out great!! I definitely said I was coming back to book with her next time. Fast forward to today 11/22- I called to book with Grisel and Claudia answered and said the company is going under new management or someone knew is taking over and let everyone else go and its only her that I can book with. She fit me in, I was disappointed bout what was said but I needed his hair cut and she was there at our first appointment so I took the slot and Im thinking everything is gonna go good like the last time...I wasted no time letting her know when I got there that I was gonna hold him while she cuts his hair because that's how we did it the last time we came. We went straight in and you can tell she wasn't having it with him moving and crying but Im just tryna make it work for her like I did with Grisel. Mid cut she stopped and made a comment "Next time we're just gonna have to schedule a longer appointment because of this, this is going to cut into my next appointment." I kept my mouth shut and thought how unprofessional and rude that was and still tried to keep my son cool to let her continue. When she finished with my son cut, that next appointment she was worried about had JUST walked through the door. Leaving I paid and she tried to make a funny comment but I didn't entertain it. Not too happy with our experience today with Claudia, especially after she pushed his hair back a little further on one side. I tried asking where Grisel went because I really enjoyed when she cut and styled my sons hair and she didn't tell me, was short with it. If anyone knows where Grisel went I need to go where she is at now!!! Wya girl. read more
