I booked a full lightening service with Whittney and showed photos of the soft beige highlights I wanted to work toward to brighten my hair and blend my grays. I understood I wouldn't achieve the exact result in my inspiration photos because my natural base is darker, but I expected my hair to be noticeably brighter and moving in that direction. I paid $375 for the lightening service. After my appointment, my hair looked essentially the same except for some unwanted copper/brassy tones. The salon repeatedly referred to the color as "caramel," but to me it was noticeably brassy. They also referred to what I was seeing as "the highlights," when the result looked is barely noticeable and what you can see are some patchy spots, with the lighter pieces mostly noticeable at the top rather than continuing through the lengths. I ultimately gave up on pursuing the highlights and returned for a separate correction appointment simply wanting the brassiness neutralized and my hair brought as close as possible to its original color without making it darker. During the correction appointment, after the toner had already been applied to neutralize the brassiness and get rid of the visible "highlights," Melanie, the owner, told me she had heard me say that I wanted the highlights to remain noticeable. I was genuinely stunned because I had been communicating the opposite. When I reiterated that I did not want them noticeable, she explained that completely covering what remained would require making my natural color darker. At that point, I said to leave it as it was because I did not want to darken my overall hair. The conversation then shifted to there having been a "miscommunication." I was told that I had appeared nervous during my original appointment and that they had therefore been hesitant to lighten my hair with bleach. This was especially frustrating to hear after the fact. I had specifically chosen an experienced stylist because my hair was virgin, showed what I wanted to work toward, and understood that getting there from my darker base would be a process. What I did not expect was to pay for a full lightening service, leave with unwanted brassiness and a result that looked patchy to me, give up on the highlights altogether, and then have to return for a correction. The salon ultimately refunded the $375 lightening service, which I appreciate. Unfortunately, the end result and, especially, the way my concerns were handled afterward, (they legitimately made me question if I even speak English correctly) made the overall experience very disappointing.

First of all the person at the front desk who I assume also answers the phone is very rude and has no business being in a customer facing role with that bad attitude. When booking the appointment, no one asked whether I'd prefer a "lead stylist" or a regular one, so we were automatically booked with a regular one. Appointments were back to back at 3 and 3:30. My 7 year old went first. She has thick straight hair - I asked them to even it out and take off 2 inches. The haircut was very obviously uneven upon "completion"; it was alarming that the stylist hadn't noticed it herself. She started to fix it and made it lopsided, then had to fix it again. Both times she tried to blame my daughter for being too "fidgety" or "hunched over" when she never gave her instructions on how to sit and turn her head, etc. We finally got to an okay place 45 minutes later. I asked the lead stylist to do my younger one's haircut and she was pretty fast and efficient. She was also a bit nicer. Much better than the other one. Glad I figured this out, as my 3 year old has curly hair which is a lot more complicated to cut. Most kids hair salons will style and tie the girls hair up at the end with a bow, or something cute. Here, despite the hefty price tag, they do nothing. Needless to say I will not be coming back. Think twice before going here.

The hairstylist the last time (Courtney) was very rude to my daughter for being too fidgety (she's 4 btw and sat very still all things considered, but if she fidgeted, can't you manage that as a kids' hair stylist without shouting sternly at her and then me?). To top it off, while Courtney was cutting my daughter's hair, another stylist walked over to gossip about the client who just left and her mom. This place is toxic and does a poor job. I actually called the salon to speak with the manager to give this feedback, but since no one called me back, I thought you all should know our experience.

I absolutely love the color of my hair and the fabulous cut he gave to me. Normally, it takes a few times for a new hair stylist to get my blonde hair in the right shade, but Kevin is a genius when it comes to blondes and he knocked it out of the ballpark after the first visit. Not only is he an incredible stylist, but the salon is beautiful and I love his team. They are always very welcoming and professional offering you tea, water or wine when you check in. Becky greets you with a genuine smile and makes you feel like you are part of the family. I highly recommend giving Kevin and his wonderful staff a try if you have not already. Fun fact: He is also well known in the celebrity circles and has created many styles for the A list stars.
