Not sure what the bad reviews are about but I took my 2 year old here for his first cut with Stephane and it was the absolute best, smoothest experience I could've asked for. He loved sitting in the car and didn't want to get out when it was done. And he loves his haircut too. Stephane was super quick and communicative. It sounds like a lot of the bad reviews are from when the place first opened. It's important to support small businesses and give them a try, even with a few bad reviews. I took our 16 month old son for the first time here. Stephane was great!! she was quick and did a GREAT job. She cut our sons hair exactly how I wanted. He moved around and she was still able to get a perfect cut. She's a magician :) we will be back and will recommend her! read more

No points for loyalty or tipping well. Never returning. It is not uncommon for a barber to have a repeat customer come back in to clean up a few missed hairs, taking a few minutes. Never have we been asked to pay full price or book a full appt in the few times our family has needed this. After messing up our appointment time and then doing a rushed job to cut my son's hair, I called to ask Pigtails and Crewcuts to work us in the following weekend for a few minutes to clean up the rough hair cut. Because we live so far way, I had to wait a week to get back out there. They would not work us in for a few minutes and were going to charge us full price and require a full haircut. This was the owner, who I was confident would look up our repeat business and be understanding. They must not care about that! We had been coming here since shortly after they opened the store. We loved Stephane, who was so gifted with our son on the spectrum. We now live 30 mins from this location, but drive out once every month for Stephane. We book the same time appt each visit. We are loyal and tip 60%. Again, they do not treat their loyal customers well. They are no longer worth the drive. read more

I loved the hair cut, Stefane was awesome, very attentive, professional and my toddler enjoyed her haircut. I give 5 stars for Stefane and her customer service, she did a first haircut package for us and gave my daughter a little ball, it was great. The three stars is for the facility, I've been there when they first opened for my son and it was clean and well taken care of, today hair seemed to be everywhere I looked. Walked to the bathroom to wash my little girls hands, clutter everywhere and hair still everywhere. They need to find a better way to clean up in my opinion. I would give less than 3 stars for the cleanliness but I wanted to be fair because the customer service was great. read more

This was the 2nd time coming here and we will not be back. They completely butchered my son's hair. I will be honest and say he was sad, scared, and we had to take multiple breaks. But honestly he sat very well at the start and that's when the back was cut! I can't even believe what it looks like. I probably could of done a better job. I also didn't get the "warm" welcoming vibe most people are talking about.. he was scared and the stylist didn't help at all! Now reading, they didn't even offer him a prize form the chest. Bad haircuts and rude staff! Painful experience trying to get our kids haircuts. They don't keep to appointments at all and the staff were unapologetic when we pointed out we'd been waiting 30 minutes for a cut. Previous cuts have been pretty terrible anyway. I do not recommend this place if you have a child with special needs and/or sensory issues. After booking our appt days in advance and explaining our situation, I was assured the stylist was professional and great with kids that have sensory issues. I explained we may need more time in the chair and was told that was fine too. We drove over 20 miles for this location and even arranged to have an occupational therapist there with us to help with the haircut. As expected, my child did not react well to arriving there. But what was unexpected was after my child calmed down, we were told by the receptionist that the stylist had left for a break and was booked the rest of the day but that we could book for later in the weekend! Are you kidding me? The stylist didn't even look at us while we were there and snuck away while the OT and I were trying to calm my kid. It was unprofessional, disrespectful and plain rude. I do NOT recommend this location if your child has any type of sensory issue. They make you feel like garbage. *Note- the only reason we drove far for this particular location is because of a stylist that has worked with us before that is great with my child. But when I found out she wasn't going to be there the day we could have the OT with us, I was nervous but assured it would be fine. It was not. We are never going back. read more

Another great experience! I've been bringing my son here since they opened. My son can be a handful but they always take their time and make us feel right at home. It's been awhile since we've been because of Covid. They only allow one child in at a time, wear masks, and sanitize all equipment used between each customer. My boys favorite place to get a haircut! Such a fun atmosphere and they get great cuts each time. We've been multiple times and would recommend this place to anyone with kids who need a haircut! The boys love picking a fun prize from the pirates chest after too! Be sure to get their stamp card. Also best to book an appointment but we have walked in a few times too. read more

We recently moved and found at this place near our house. Every time we've gone to get my toddler's haircut someone always butchers it. I can't remember her name, but she has red hair. Go to her! She was knowledgeable and told us what she was doing when she was doing it and asked us every step of the way of this is how we wanted it. Definitely will be back. read more

My family left traumatized by the stylist Maria who was shockingly aggressive with my daughter's hair. She was very rushed with us despite the fact that we were early to our scheduled appointment. As she was brushing my daughter's hair, my daughter kept screaming "Ow! Ow!" and she would say, "Well, you have tangles!" as she stared out the window not paying attention to how she was combing my daughter's hair and showing no concern with the experience she was giving to my young daughter. I finally had to stop her as I saw my daughter crying. While I was trying to console my daughter, Maria began to interrupt me by asking if I I'd like to reschedule and I told her if she can just give me a minute as I hugged my daughter. She just stared at me and stood there waiting impatiently. I then told her if she can be more gentle with her. She then snapped back and said, "I was! But she has a lot of tangles!" I could not believe how unprofessional she was so I calmly told her we are done here. I also had my other daughter that was supposed to get a haircut right after my first but there was no way I would subject her to the terrible treatment Maria gave to my first daughter. I immediately got out of the salon as my daughter was still in tears. Once we left the salon, I called to speak to the manager. A boy named "Christian" said the manager was on vacation and was not sure when she would be back. I then asked for the girl's name who tried to cut my daughter's hair and asked to speak to her. I told her how traumatized my daughter was with her experience and she unapologetically said again, "she had a lot of tangles." I told her as someone working in a kids salon, I expected her to have more patience. She then said, "Well, you were rolling your eyes at me." Is this really an appropriate employee response to a customer by anyone working at any establishment? How sad. Her behavior towards my young daughter and to me is completely unacceptable and I refuse to believe she thinks her actions and responses are warranted. I can only hope she learns to be more professional and think of more proactive solutions other than focusing on parents rolling their eyes. In fact, it would do her some good to focus on the child's reactions and to at least attempt to make him/her feel better. The one redeeming star is the call back I received from the manager who was extremely apologetic, acknowledging Maria's unprofessionalism and wanting to make things right. I just hope Maria does not do this to any other unsuspecting family who is not aware of her unfortunate tendencies. According to the manager, Maria has never had a complaint so all I can say is, for my family-never again and to your family-good luck! read more

We have taken out 5 year old to this location since her first haircut. I went in today and asked for her hair to be cut just below her collar bone. I knew from the first cut that the beautician didn't listen. My childs hair was cut above her sholders (her hair length was at her mid back when we came in). To add insult to injury there are several areas that arent the same length. It is hair and will grow back but this is unacceptable and unprofessional. I am severely disappointed. We will not come to this location and cannot reccomend it. It is a real shame since this was a tradition in our family. read more

Super cute space for kids. My 3yr old was easily entertained and as a result had a quick and painless trim (nothing fancy). We made an appointment same day, stylist on time and got the job done efficiently. Check in, quick consult, cut, checkout, done in 15-20 minutes! $20 for a 10 minute cut sounds a bit expensive...but hey the kiddo won't let me get the scissors near the hair to attempt at home. Stylist was a nice, hip young lady. Due to the environment making our lives run smoothly without any meltdowns, I will happily fork over the cash to these nice people! read more

First visit with our children my kids walked out with uneven lengths in both the long and short cuts. We tried for a second visit and needed to book separate appointments. Their booking offered Sunday times. It's Saturday now and I've just received a cancellation notice. When I called to inquire why, they said they don't book appointments on Sunday. The receptionist handed the phone to the manager who told me the same thing, said it wasn't her fault and she wasn't responsible for it. After explaining to her I wasn't calling to place blame on anyone but that it'd be much more effective to call clients when there's a technology glitch, she rudely repeated the same thing as before and said there was nothing she was going to do to fix it. It really wasn't a complicated issue to diffuse/handle/fix. She actually made very little into a really negative experience. These two incidents together will keep me from coming back and recommending others find alternate solutions! read more

The hair stylists are great but the customer service there is terrible. Always confused when I walk in the door-I bring my child as a walk in since the sign says walk ins welcome and I'm told I have to wait 1.5 hours because I don't have an appointment. I make an appointment and I have to wait 30 minutes because they are taking walk ins...and no one bothers to tell you their method to their madness. Doubt I will ever return. read more

Came in yesterday to get my 12 month olds bangs trimmed out of his eyes. I was nervous because this kid never sits still! It ended up being such a pleasant experience! He loved sitting in the little car and the stylist was super sweet and fast. I would just recommend avoiding the Saturday crowds. We came back on Monday and were seen right away. We've gotten 3 haircuts at this location. The first one was fine. The second one Violet couldn't cut a straight line (I'm talking 1" difference in the bang length). So I went back thinking only Violet was the problem. Then I get Tiffany. She butchered my son's hair... ruined his first day of school. I told her "just a teeeny trim so that his bangs fall below his eyebrows". She cut the bangs almost to his scalp and crooked since she assumed, not asked, that he combs his hair to the side. My daughter and I yelled stop and she kept going! My daughter then (who is 9) tried to explain how he likes his hair and Tiffany snapped at her "I'm talking to your mom!" I have NEVER had anyone snap at my daughter in front of me! At a kids salon! When my son started to get misty-eyed I tried to console him by saying "it will grow out" and Tiffany snapped at me that he wasn't upset. We left immediately and I had to pay for that! Tiffany insisted "it was a good haircut". We didn't even argue, just got out of there. I tried to see if we could fix the hack job, but it is too short in places and we'd have to just shave his head which my 6 year old son doesn't want to do. So we have to live with this haircut. It's going to take over a year for him to grow this out. read more
