She was incredibly flexible while scheduling my appointment, as exams and life seem to get away from me on a weekly basis (oops). She was happy to accommodate my schedule and make it work for me. The salon suites that Fifth House is located in was nice, a complex of small entrepreneurs with mini salons to themselves - it was cool! She welcomed me in and was excited to hear about the changes that I was looking for, and didn't hesitate to get right to it. The cut she gave me is perfect, I can't seem to find a stylist who will cut off enough to get rid of my split ends! Finally, she obliged when I mentioned this! Coloring my hair took a bit of time, but that wasn't awkward or a big deal because both Grey and her coworker, Noelle, were talkative and genuinely great people. The environment they create is relaxed and cool, and would make any shy introvert feel... normal! Throughout the years I have changed by style and color many times, and she always understands exactly what I want, and does a great job incorporating what I want with my hair. I dreaded haircuts (as all of us curly heads do) but when I came here, I was put at ease. I hadn't gotten a haircut in over 3 years when I came to see Bobby. He listened to what I wanted and helped me get the style that I have been wanting for so long. He cut my hair dry to see the true definition and coil of my curls. He also washed my hair and it hurt a little because I'm super tender headed. BUT.... when I walked out of there, my curls were looking shinier and healthier than they ever had in my whole life!!! I called…read morethe salon the same day In tears because of how bad my hair loss was, and how i accidentally over shaved my forehead, leaving me with a HUGE bald spot. Immediately on the phone they helped me figure what the best thing to do was, the front desk girl- Danielle (I think that's her name) went and talked to Dye to see what she could do and they didn't even hesitate to get me in to fix it. Not only did Dye the hairstylist get me in extremely last minute, but she did an amazing job on my really complicated hair situation. She ended up doing 3 rows of extensions, and she listened to my price point and listened to what I wanted to do, and also did check ins with me to make sure I liked it. I've never had a better experience with a hair salon/ hair stylist. Extremely welcoming and such a calm and friendly environment. I left the salon feeling more confident than I ever have, and it's been a while. I didn't think anyone would be able to fix how thin and frail my hair was but she did it better than I ever expected.
