I just moved and we all know the horror stories of finding a new stylist. Well, this isn't one of…read morethose - thankfully! I read your reviews here - thanks Yelpers! and on Style Seat, her preferred booking method. All of her reviews were stellar and I thought she sounded like she was worth taking a chance on for my cut. Did I add I decided to get it cut one day before traveling to attend a wedding. Like Steven Tyler said, I was livin' on the edge!! She started out really slow, which concerned me a little, but now I think she's just really meticulous. She ran her fingers through my hair, asked me what I was looking for, and let me know whether or not the styles I had in mind would work with my hair type. She lead me to do a new search that found a very workable cut for my hair type and she got to work. I cannot even tell you how happy I am with my cut and how easily I (ME!!) can actually style it now!

An update on this review. I was not chatting or eager for…read moreconversation. I asked one question and maybe spoke a sentence or two to my daughter. I think your response speaks to exactly what I was saying in my first review, that from the get go I was not welcomed and was treated as an inconvenience. You may have missed the point that I booked the appointment with you for my daughter, so to say that she is the only person that should be treated as a customer is short sighted, and why would you want to treat me or the parent of your client that way? What a terrible response to the my review. My daughter even said you were rude to me. At least everyone reading this review knows that there is a vow of silence in your space and 1 family member that brought their to child to you for service is not welcome.

We saw Issy who just transferred from another salon and my middle school daughter was very happy!…read moreIssy was sweet with her, the cut was great and she checked in with her a few times to make sure it was what she wanted. Issy also offered to curl her hair at the end, which made my daughter's day. When we were leaving my daughter said, "Can we come back here tomorrow?" I've also seen Kristi here myself and was very happy. I needed somewhere that's not full-on fancy but also not a "cheapy" place that can be inconsistent. This salon is a great little gem.

I've been doing fashion colors for years on my highlighted blonde-ish hair and have had continued problems with fading (some to be expected) and a LOT of bleeding of vivid color into unwanted areas of the hair - no fun and super high maintenance! After my most recent hairdresser moved to a third salon that was much farther away from me than she already was, I was frantic and on the hunt for a new person. Found Kristi (thanks fellow Yelpers!) and had a phone consultation with her. She didn't even need to see me to know exactly what I wanted. On my first visit several months ago (not sure why I didn't write a review sooner - maybe I wanted to keep her a secret) she had purchased products especially for me (Pulp Riot rocks!) and worked her magic. My hair turned out fantastic! More bright and pigmented than ever with the perfect blonde backdrop (no toner needed). Based on my previous experiences in Austin, I was hesitant to wash my hair the first time...that was typically when everything in sight would get stained pink and red. Even on my VERY FIRST shampoo after being treated by Kristi, there was very little color run off and it was still bright 8 weeks later when I went in for a re-do!!! I am one happy girl! Kristi is an amazing person and very well skilled in her craft. Brava! No more more tress stress for me! ;) Note: She is also a market partner for Monat hair care. I cannot say enough great things about what the products have done for my hair. It's not fluff, just truly great stuff!

Oh my gosh!!! I've…read morelived in Austin for 25 years and have lost count of how many stylists I've tried. Xavier had great reviews and is within a short drive from my home. So, I held my breath and scheduled an appointment. I'm 72, have naturally-colored, grey hair, and wanted it layered. It's difficult to find a stylist who can do a decent layered cut. But, Xavier hit the mark. He is a scissors, brush, and dryer wizard. We spoke until he was sure he knew exactly the results I wanted. He definitely delivered. No more bad hair days for me!!! In the morning, I simply fluff up my hair then run my fingers through it to make my style spring back to life. Within 10 minutes it's dried and styled....no brush needed. I simply sweep the dryer over my hair with the concentrator nozzle in the direction I want it to fall. No product is needed to keep it in place. My visit with Xavier was extremely enjoyable because he's such a vibrant, engaging person. We chatted away the entire time I was sitting in his chair. It was so relaxing to be in a private room where I wasn't forced to listen to multiple conversations and dryers blasting. Xavier even has the courtesy to silence the ringer on his phone. Thank you, Xavier, for such a pleasant experience. See you soon!!

Although it would have been easy to simply continue with my routine of gray coverage on darker hair, he suggested the alternative of gray blending with highlights. Not only did this solve my allergic reaction problem (darker dyes are more likely to cause skin reactions), it broke the discouraging cycle of gray coverage with dark hair! We all know what I'm talking about... seeing that "ring of gray" show up only weeks after covering them. The resulting color was not only more flattering but something that won't have me running for root touchups only weeks later. Did I mention I also got a fantastic haircut?! I left the salon feeling better than I have in years. Thanks, Xavier, for helping me turn the page on the relationship with my hair!

I made the leap, finally, after years of "growing out" my hair. I just don't do well with long hair. Yes, it's beautiful and thick and curly, but it sucks to have to fix it every day. Which means that it's either curly and unruly or in a pony tail. That is why I decided to chop it all off. I took in a picture of Elisha Cuthbert's cute, short cut, and Lolo was like "Sit down, let's get to work!" See, I had just gone in to see what she thought about it...but here I was...making the decision whether or not to go through with it. "You seem ready..." Lolo said...she could tell I was having second thoughts...finally I sat down and said, "What the hell!" So she went to cutting. Can I just say that when she turned me around, for the first time in my life...I felt like a cut was meant just for me? I hugged and squeezed her because I was so happy. It was exactly what I wanted...without even really knowing it. See, she didn't just cut it like the picture I'd brought in. She made sure to tell me that she was going to do that "style", but in a way that would flatter my hair type. Boy did she ever! It's adorable. I can leave the house with it wet or blow it dry. I will be a loyal customer for as long as Lolo will have me!
