The waxing itself is great; I prefer hard wax and appreciate how efficient the appointments are. I've worked with several, more senior specialists over the years, and they've all been great, friendly aestheticians. I've also had great service booking by phone or online. That said, I'm pretty sure I just had my last appointment, and the reasons have nothing to do with the quality of the service (hence why I'm still giving 5 stars). The reasons are more about how the business is run: 1. High Turnover. It's not a good sign that these facilities run through aestheticians. If you find someone you like and trust, it's highly likely that person will leave within about 2 years. Find another person, same thing. Rinse and repeat. 2. Treatment of Women. For this to be a place that primarily serves women, I've continued to hear about European Wax Center's less-than-ideal arrangements for female staff. No maternity leave? No flexible work schedules for new moms? I'll take my business elsewhere for the time being, but I do hope the owners/managers of these locations will take this feedback to heart and make some improvements.

She explained the rewards program, how future bookings work, and even gave me helpful info about how certain products like retinol can affect waxing. Sarah who did my wax was amazing, so gentle, easy to talk to, and made the whole experience super comfortable. She talked me through each step, explained the products she was using, and even recommended a few to try at home. It all felt so genuine, not salesy at all. They even gave me a few samples to take home, which was such a nice touch. 10/10, I'll definitely be back!

I'm no stranger to waxing, but I've always wanted to try sugaring and this was my first time…read more With sugaring, it is also removing the hair but it is much more gentle on your skin. I came in with no expectations of the pain level, and it ended up hurting a lot less than waxes I've gotten in the past. When you arrive you'll need to take off your shoes at the door. There's water in the waiting room and plenty of seating and reading material. Lucianne was super patient and provided a lot of information on the process. She was gentle (as far as hair removal goes) and made my first sugaring experience super relaxing. If you're used to waxing, the pain is no where compared to a Brazilian wax. If you're nervous l, highly recommend taking a Tylenol beforehand. They sell natural skincare products in-house, and I purchased their serum created by Ritual Union (ritual_Union on IG) to use and help with ingrowns and moisturizing. It's full of great ingredients and I'm excited to be using it. If you're into skincare/body care, Lucianne recommended to check out Earth Commons on Springdale Road. They also do events, sell tea blends, and offer holistic services. Absolutely loved my experience and I think this has converted me from using hard wax to sugaring. Highly recommend if you're looking to try sugaring!

After my loyalty there for almost 12 years, (I thought 15 but I was off by a couple of years), the…read moreowner dismissed me today as if none of that ever mattered. Literally hundreds of dollars spent there for over a decade, and I was blown off today. Because I had the audacity to try to call them, not once, but THREE different times, and they never answered the phone. Desperately trying to let them know that I was running 4 minutes late. Four. They refused to go beyond a five minute grace period. When this place changed to one location, off William Cannon, I was not the only one impacted. There were many of us who were loyal to the 47th St. location, but who kept coming down south, even though it's over a 40 minute drive, because we like the brand. It's this sort of customer loyalty that businesses should be grateful for! Instead? I got no phone call, no follow up email, no attempt to touch base with me to try to work this out, and come to a better understanding. Nothing. So thank you for using me for my money! Way to go. It's not about the money. It's not about not being allowed to be four minutes late. It's about being blown off, when local businesses tout building relationships" with clients. My going there for 12 years, was that not proving that I was loyal? Fuck You, Waxing Studio. Those of you who want to go there still, that's on you. Beware of being blown off, and treated like you are a cog in the machine, just like anybody else. It's that sort of corporate BS I was hoping to avoid in the first place. Period.

Updating my prior positive review to 2 stars. Over time, EWC has gotten more corporate and less…read morecustomer-focused... it reflects in the way waxing techniques have changed, how the quality and experience of the estheticians has gone down, the the flexibility of any employee (from managers to front desk staff to technicians) to provide customer solutions over sheer profit, and more. I've had to change waxers over and over again because the estheticians are constantly leaving. First, I have to work hard with the actual service providers to build a relationship over several months to get my services "right." In the 15 min appts it is hard to express the exact brow shape you're looking for, in example. Or, sometimes the technique being used is unnecessarily painful compared to another provider I'd worked with prior. Then, after 6 months it's finally right and then the technician leaves, and the cycle begins again. Plus, EWC is constantly selling to you. "Buy a wax pass" or "try this product." I can't tell you how many worthless unused EWC products I have sitting under my sink that aren't effective, or how many times I wish I had never purchased a wax pass... so I wouldn't be locked in to coming back here when it just keeps getting worse. I don't recommend EWC. Here, or at any other location (by the way, there is no manager here, and they canceled an appt once bc the opener missed her alarm clock, and both of my waxers left bc this whole location is a hot mess)! It's time for me to move onto better, more clientele-focused businesses... even if it leaves my money on the table with the wax pass I was stupid enough to purchase.

They were either over priced, fluffy (not results driven), or a combination of both. I got a Brazilian 5 months pregnant (funnn) and it was actually the least painful I've ever gotten. And that's crazy with how sensitive your skin gets pregnant. I've also had hormonal acne, dull skin, and clogged pores, and seeing her did a complete reset on my skin -- truly. She took the time to do all the extractions to really start clean, and the difference in texture is crazy. I'm a lifer now! Can't wait to see her next. Thank you, Tracy!
