ShareTea I haven't ever had a real problem with. I haven't ever been to this location before but my opinion remained the same with my experiences with it which are overall positive. I have had ShareTea at another location and though I am madly in love with Boba Tea and the tapioca balls anymore they don't always agree with me. So to prevent any issue there and as much as I wanted to I got a drink that didn't have the tapioca. I got their Honey Black Tea which was very good. It was a bit of a warmer day so this hit the spot nicely. The Black Tea presence was definitely there but with the honey there it mellowed the bitter bite you get with Black Tea and some sweetness too. Been to plenty of Share Tea before and this experience was certainly the worst. I used the kiosk and it almost forces you to tip unless you manually enter zero. I ordered an ice blended with lychee jelly. The drink was watery with a pile of ice cubes on the bottom making is impossible to get the jelly. I'll add the caveat that it was a busy Saturday and there had just been a "food walk" in the ID. The experience was a bit muddled. I ordered the Mango & Passion Fruit Green Tea. I had requested boba but they were out of boba so I got lychee jelly instead. I also requested it at reduced sweetness. It was a pretty lengthy wait for this tea. Really disappointed with the customer service at Sharetea today. I ordered a Wintermelon Fresh Milk with oat milk and specifically asked for 50% sugar because I did not want the drink too sweet. Despite that, the drink was still overwhelmingly sweet, much sweeter than expected for reduced sugar. It is possible the oat milk was sweetened, but that was never communicated when ordering. I politely asked if there was anything they could do to help. The employee insisted the drink was made correctly and repeatedly said they could not remake it unless it was "their fault." The only solution offered was a cup of water for me to dilute the drink myself. I even asked if they could add the water and reseal the cup, but was told they were "not allowed" because the manager would not approve it. I asked if the manager was there and was told no. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What made the experience frustrating was that the shop was not busy at all, so it did not feel like a situation where staff were overwhelmed or unable to help.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At many other boba shops, employees usually try to offer some kind of reasonable accommodation when a customer is unhappy with a drink. It's gotten better there so I'm adjusting my review. I went in and had a lovely experience with perfectly toppings! I explained how I can't have caffeine right now and they mentioned they have a new selection of caffeine free drinks. On December 3rd, 2025, at 9:10 PM, my friend and I came here. The cashier -- the guy with curly hair and braces -- was trying to make fun of customers. He might have been under the influence of something, as his face was also red. We asked for 30% sugar, but he put in 100%. We asked for regular ice, and he purposely tried to give us less ice. He did it on purpose over and over! We have been coming here for many years, and every staff member has always been nice to us. When I said I would contact the manager, he didn't seem to care at all saying "go ahead!" Sharetea has to investigate this employee before he mess up with more customers. read more

Not sure why this ShareTea location doesn't get much love given how recent it's been open, but I like this location! Where Gossip used to be, this location has self-order kiosks, you can order from UberEats, and it has seating upstairs. Most importantly, there's a selfie museum with themes, decor, and props! They also have phone stands where you can use to take pics from your own smartphones. Boba here is solid, and tapioca pearls here have been consistently chewy (not mushy). Boba is meh. I've had better. They got me to go in because of the free plushies. If they didn't offer me plushies, I wouldn't go. There is an interesting selfie floor where you can take cool photos with all sorts of interesting backdrops. There's also an upper level seating area so you can sit down in the upper area if you want. I would say in the CID, there's better boba shops. This one isn't worth going to in my opinion. Maybe once to checkout the gimmicky selfie floors. There's just too much competition in the area and for me to recommend it, they'd have to have some good quality teas, which they lack at the moment. He continued to hold the phone with one hand while talking and proceeding with making all of the drinks with just the other hand. Sounds impressive, right? That took a whooping 30 minutes to have 5 drinks made. Thirty minutes of my life that I will never get back. I have always waited around 5-8 minutes for these same 5 drinks at other Sharetea locations. Yay! About time they opened a location in Chinatown. Great consistency - same good quality boba like their other locations that I've been to. I love how this location has a loft where customers can sit down and hang out while enjoying their refreshments. Just beware that since this is in Chinatown, parking will be challenging as street parking might just be your only option. One thing I noticed is that their drinks got a tad bit pricey. This is my favorite ShareTea location! It's new in Chinatown and provides a cool sit down area with an upstairs room. The amazing surprise with our visit today is the entertaining selfie rooms downstairs. It was so much fun! Who knew they had all those rooms down there?! Decided to try this place after the line out of TP Tea was too long. The place was pretty empty and I noticed the self order stations weren't working. Considering there are many boba shops in CID, Sharetea has to step up their game. I got a regular black milk tea with boba and it was alright but not better than the competing surrounding boba spots, such as Oasis, Seattle Best Tea, and TP Tea about a block away. I would also take note of their poor business practices, please read the last reviews of Sharetea Broadway in Cap Hill. Many employees there were college students relying on their job at Sharetea to help pay bills and the owners just shut it down without any notice. I'm a boba milk tea people. I came here many time and other location too. But tonight I'm really disappointed and I don't think I will come back here. I ordered Boba milk tea and milk tea with lychee. When I got it and tried it, it tasted very wierd. I went back to the store and talked to them, they said that each location and each barista were different. I said I know that but really this taste is very weird, no different from water. And the barista says he did everything right. Attitude like that I was wrong and just wanted to come back to make it difficult for him.
