She asked what style I wanted and I showed her a picture and she confidently said she could do it. 3hrs later and a very uncomfortable experience with what felt like my lashes were being plucked out, i got a completely different look than what I showed her. Apparently I was charged for a "custom set" but it looks like a classic mega lash. My eyes have been red, swollen, and itchy since. I fear that my natural lashes are damaged due to the roughness of the application process . Despite me explaining this to her after my appointment, she just said she can do a free fix and she doesn't do refunds because "you should have read my policy". I just personally would not recommend going here for lashes, especially for the price.

I've been going to this lash studio for about a year. I saw some negative reviews and felt…read morecompelled to write this one in their favor. The staff is very professional and personable. They know me by name and face (even with a mask on !) so its like the "Cheers" scenario where you feel welcomed. I mainly see Cat but I've also seen other lash artists there and they are all very good. My sister goes there as well and she's had issues with her lashes but each time hers fall out prematurely (within a week) they always accommodate her by having her come back and put more lashes on at no charge. I've had an instance where my allergies were so bad I basically rubbed my lashes off and despite this, they were able to put enough on to make me look presentable and confident. Also, I live in the Tanque Verde Valley so my drive to Oro Valley to this studio is about 35 minutes. It's well worth it! They get me out in an hour (for refills) so I'm not laying there for long periods of time each time I go. It's always been a pleasant experience and my lashes are wonderful. I can go every 3 weeks (vs the normal 2 weeks) because they stay on (and I've learned not to rub them during allergy season!).

Prospective clients may want to read the owner's responses to critical reviews and form their own…read moreopinion about how concerns and disagreements are handled, but here's mine: I was a longtime client of Gigi70 and purchased services here many times over the years. As far as expertise, her intensive peels helped significantly with my skin issues. Unfortunately, over time I became increasingly uncomfortable with the way routine questions and communications were handled. In my experience, even completely non-accusatory questions about payments, remaining prepaid services, clarification of services, or scheduling were often met with responses that felt defensive and unprofessional. Most recently, I purchased a package for three microneedling treatments. The following day, before using any portion of the package, I texted and politely asked to cancel it and receive a refund. To her credit, Gigi refunded the entire amount promptly and without argument, and I genuinely appreciate that. However, shortly afterward, I received an automated Vagaro cancellation text addressed to "first name, (DO NOT BOOK) last name." The message showed "DO NOT BOOK" added directly to my name following my refund request. I found this incredibly unprofessional. A business owner absolutely has the right to decide they no longer want to accept a particular client, but marking my account "DO NOT BOOK" immediately following a straightforward refund request felt unnecessarily punitive. I had simply reconsidered an unused package the day after purchasing it. Seeing "DO NOT BOOK" attached to my name immediately afterward reinforced concerns I had already developed about how ordinary questions and uncomfortable interactions were handled. I'm sure this review will get a response as well. After years as a client, it's disappointing to be treated that way, but it confirmed I made the right choice to request the refund and find services elsewhere. -
