I rarely leave reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience…read more I originally came to It's a Secret Med Spa (South Lamar) in February for Botox. Before anyone had thoroughly assessed my skin or understood my skin type, I was encouraged to sign up for their $300/month membership, which included Botox and a monthly treatment (chemical peel, facial, or skin tightening laser). Looking back, I believe the focus was on selling a membership rather than creating a treatment plan that was actually appropriate for my skin. After my chemical peel and facial, my skin had the worst reaction I've ever experienced. I trusted their recommendations and purchased over $300 worth of skincare products they suggested, but my skin only continued to worsen. What was most concerning was that, despite my skin barrier already being compromised, I was advised to continue receiving laser treatments and was told they would help improve my skin. Instead, my skin continued to worsen. Looking back, I felt there was a greater emphasis on continuing treatments and maintaining my membership than on reevaluating whether the treatment plan was right for me. This experience has been both physically and emotionally devastating. I was, and still am, embarrassed by how my skin looks. I eventually had to repeatedly ask for my membership to be canceled. The before-and-after photos speak for themselves. I deeply regret walking through their doors. See photos below of immediately after chemical peel where my skin had zero acne. The other photos are after receiving various treatments recommended by its a secret staff. Since then, I've spent hundreds of dollars trying to repair the damage. I'm now under the care of a dermatologist, taking prescription medication, and seeing a new aesthetician every two weeks just to get my skin back to a healthy baseline. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend It's a Secret Med Spa. I hope others carefully consider their options and make sure they feel confident that any recommended treatments are truly tailored to their skin before committing to a membership or treatment plan.

Melanie is not only an incredibly skilled esthetician, but she's also part therapist, part comedian, and feels more like a trusted friend than someone I see for appointments. Every visit is something I look forward to. What I appreciate most is her honesty and integrity. She never tries to upsell services or products you don't need. Instead, she takes the time to understand your goals and gives realistic, honest feedback about what kind of results you can expect. In an industry where sales pressure can be common, that level of transparency is refreshing. Beyond that, she's knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely cares about her clients. My skin has benefited tremendously from her expertise, and I trust her completely. If you're looking for someone who is talented, honest, and makes every appointment enjoyable, Melanie is the best.

I was also always left incredibly bruised afterward, which honestly made me not want to have any more work done. After many hours of research and reading reviews, I finally decided to give SkinSpirit a try, and finding Crystal has been a godsend! Now that I'm nearing 40, I am SO glad I finally found someone I trust with my face! I've seen Crystal several times now and have only had two tiny bruises, which has been incredible compared to my past experiences. Her expertise is obvious, and she has truly made me feel years younger with her work. Most importantly, my results always look natural, which is an absolute MUST for me. I want to look refreshed and like myself, not like I've had work done, and Crystal completely understands that. I've seen her for both filler and Botox and have been so happy with my results. On top of this, I have found the prices to be VERY reasonable and way less than what I have paid in the past. On the rare occasion there was an area I felt needed a little improvement, Crystal never hesitated to help make it right. She's a perfectionist like me, so I always feel like I'm in good hands! She takes her time, pays attention to the details, and genuinely cares about making sure you're happy with your results. Beyond being incredibly talented, Crystal is gorgeous inside and out. She truly cares about her clients, not just about their treatments, but about what's going on in their lives, and I always enjoy seeing her! I seriously can't recommend Crystal enough. I'll definitely be sending my husband her way and spreading the word to anyone who needs a little refresh. I'm so grateful I found her!

I went in to talk about a big growth on the side of my head (hidden under my hair) that I wanted removed, as well as a general preventative skin check. Dr. Ted Lain was my doctor. He was friendly and had a very contagious positive personality about him. His nurse helper was very friendly as well. Everything happened so fast when they shaved off the growth, as well as a mole on my back they wanted to biopsy. Usually getting these procedures done freak me out but I didn't even have the time to freak out bc of how fast and efficiently it was done, lol. I also even briefly inquired about filler injection estimates and he was able to give me an estimate window right on the spot. They called me the following week with the results, and also sent me the results for my records when I asked. I liked this practice and my doc and I would go again :)
