I received a referral from my friend so was able to get $100 off my service which a diamond glow facial with dermaplaning ran $315, so brought this cost down for a lovely time for self care on my skin and relaxing afternoon. I appreciate how the esthetician was super helpful and not pushy at all compared to several of the other facial places I've been before who've been super product pushy and judgemental towards my skin which ruined past visits. Unfortunately, my experience here with Fairy was very different. There was no proper assessment of my skin to determine the appropriate wavelength or energy settings; I was simply told a "medium" setting would be used for a first session for safety. The treatment itself felt rushed, and during the session I noticed that some areas were being missed. Although I shared my past results, I was told by Fairy that IPL can't remove dark spots or freckles, which contradicts both my experience and widely available information about the treatment. After the session, I didn't experience any of the typical post-treatment reactions, such as redness, and I saw no results in the weeks that followed. Overall, this felt like a combination of outdated equipment and limited experience with delivering effective IPL results. I wouldn't recommend this spa for IPL.

She was very nice and detail oriented but for me, just took a little too long. I try to be an easy client so I like to be in & out without the extra fluff. I returned a second time and this time I saw Brooklyn. She is THE SWEETEST & I love her. She is knowledgeable and thorough. I was never worried about asking questions and/or "critiquing" an area I thought needed some extra love. She is very easy to talk to. She's done both my lips and my Botox. I would definitely recommend this spa. I love that they are also open on the weekends which is a rarity but it does make me feel bad for the girls who manage the desk. They are also all super sweet, responsive, and all-in-all this is a wonderfully run med spa.

Before anyone had thoroughly assessed my skin or understood my skin type, I was encouraged to sign up for their $300/month membership, which included Botox and a monthly treatment (chemical peel, facial, or skin tightening laser). Looking back, I believe the focus was on selling a membership rather than creating a treatment plan that was actually appropriate for my skin. After my chemical peel and facial, my skin had the worst reaction I've ever experienced. I trusted their recommendations and purchased over $300 worth of skincare products they suggested, but my skin only continued to worsen. What was most concerning was that, despite my skin barrier already being compromised, I was advised to continue receiving laser treatments and was told they would help improve my skin. Instead, my skin continued to worsen. Looking back, I felt there was a greater emphasis on continuing treatments and maintaining my membership than on reevaluating whether the treatment plan was right for me. This experience has been both physically and emotionally devastating. I was, and still am, embarrassed by how my skin looks. I eventually had to repeatedly ask for my membership to be canceled. The before-and-after photos speak for themselves. I deeply regret walking through their doors. See photos below of immediately after chemical peel where my skin had zero acne. The other photos are after receiving various treatments recommended by its a secret staff. Since then, I've spent hundreds of dollars trying to repair the damage. I'm now under the care of a dermatologist, taking prescription medication, and seeing a new aesthetician every two weeks just to get my skin back to a healthy baseline. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend It's a Secret Med Spa. I hope others carefully consider their options and make sure they feel confident that any recommended treatments are truly tailored to their skin before committing to a membership or treatment plan.

I went in to talk about a big growth on the side of my head (hidden under my hair) that I wanted removed, as well as a general preventative skin check. Dr. Ted Lain was my doctor. He was friendly and had a very contagious positive personality about him. His nurse helper was very friendly as well. Everything happened so fast when they shaved off the growth, as well as a mole on my back they wanted to biopsy. Usually getting these procedures done freak me out but I didn't even have the time to freak out bc of how fast and efficiently it was done, lol. I also even briefly inquired about filler injection estimates and he was able to give me an estimate window right on the spot. They called me the following week with the results, and also sent me the results for my records when I asked. I liked this practice and my doc and I would go again :)

Amanda was super helpful! Really good because scheduling or rescheduling an appointment with my then provider, a large hospital clinic network, was a months long wait. My check-in at the North Austin location off of Mo-Pac near Parmer was effortless and very pleasant and my clinical visit with Lorin the Medical Assistant and Stephanie PA-C for the skin check was through and very informative. I was beyond pleased that PA Stephanie was able to examine and treat a spot on my ear that she had concerns with and also perform a procedure on a couple more that required them to be excised off. The visit was really positive and I accomplished so much in 90 minutes from the time I walked in along with directions on using appropriate sunscreen! Sanova Dermatology offers lots of services , so I expect that I'll be back more often than annually for routine maintenance and care at a really reasonable and fair cost.
