I was having a custom pendant made for my wife and I have brought my own 4.4 ct opal and bought a 3mm Blue Sapphire from them. I was having a silver pendant made for my wife because I am getting deployed. The first pendant that was presented to me was a joke and honestly disrespectful. The pendant had petting marks on the back and you can see wave marks on the front. Also the polish look like it was done by a newbie. I did not accept the dependent and said this is not acceptable. The shop told me no problem they will remake it and that was on a Thursday. A week later on a Saturday they still did not have it done and I'm leaving that Monday. Shannon Jewelry had 3 1/2 to 4 weeks after the design was approved and they still was not able to have this pendant completed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The designer that I worked with which I'm not going to name, was very polite and helpful. And I know he has nothing to do with the quality of work that the so call master jeweler does.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]So in summary, the salesman I worked with was very good and I had no problems with him.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The problem is with the lack of quality work and over 3 1/2 weeks the shop cannot complete something this simple. I went in to get links taken off my new watch that I received for Christmas. I was coming from Tmobile nextdoor so I wasn't dressed the best when I realized how nice the jewelry store actually was. The story is clean and bright, good vibe! No people, I cannot say they were unfriendly, but they do not make you feel "welcome". The security guard was the nicest person there. I came in with a mission... I had two bracelet which needed links soldered closed. I must say it was a bit over priced for some simple soldering work, but I was in a pinch, so I paid. I planned to get sizing done too, but God only knows what that would have cost! The soldering of the three links turned out average- not a seamless look, but again, I was in a pinch and wanted my bracelets back before travel. Would I go back? No. Would I recommend? Maybe. I've been a customer for 20 years so when my grandmothers' ring was badly damaged I called Nick (friendliest guy ever with a LOT of knowledge) to find out what it would cost me. He was kind enough to facetime me and give me an estimate over the phone. I was so impressed with the repair - it looks like a brand new ring and it is over 60 years old. Claude, the owner, mapped out my diamond with me under a microscope and helped me see every flaw on paper. Then, after making it look like a billion dollars for an incredibly reasonable price, he showed it to me again under the microscope before I left. What time and care they took to make a granddaughter happy with her priceless heirloom! Debbie, the owners sweet wife, was kind enough to estimate its appraisal value for insurance at no cost. Shanna was also a complete doll and offered us cookies and a chair while I was able to watch the master jewelers (Claude, James, & Joy) work on my ring! It's been awhile since this happened, but people should read this review before spending major bucks at this shuckster style place. I have bought several pieces here, and had two necklaces made. Sometimes two of their employees were beyond snooty, but I let that go, as they didn't help me. So, I still shopped there until one afternoon, when the security guard stole my iPhone out of my purse. Problems began then. I could not get anyone to listen to me, even after returning home and tracing the phone to within Shannon Jewelers . So finally, I had to stand in the middle of the store and yell "If someone doesn't listen to me right now, I'm calling the police. In hindsight, I wish I would have done so. There were several unkind and unhelpful remarks, but the store was searched, and my phone was in the trash of the men's restroom. So, after being a good customer for years, I was treated shabbily. I need a jeweler as I am older, and I have a lot of jewelry that occasionally requires repair or re-designing. However, I am not inclined to go back to Shannon (Willowbrook location). The last time my husband bought me an emerald ring there, I needed to get it resized and also took with me another item needing repair. Shannon's resized the ring I bought there, but refused to repair the piece I took in which had been purchased in another state since I had not bought it from them. Since I lived in another state for 60 years before moving here, most all of my fine jewelry was not bought here. I am looking for a jeweler who wants to care for ALL my jewelry.
