    Cartier watch that I took

If you plan to take a watch that's 25,000 dollars to them don't , I took my complete diamond set Cartier , to them to see if they could find out what's causing my face to the watch cloud up . After I had just took it somewhere else and they said it was a gasket and the screw on the back of case . But they didn't replace the gaskets . So I found this company He asked me to hand him the watch so I did he came back out from the back and said "there's a screw missing what do people not know how to put things back together " I said idk I just got the watch , he said he didn't have a original screw so I asked for him to put another after market one in , but he never brought up the possible leakage from the seal . He than asked me "how much did you pay for this watch " I said "why do you ask is something wrong " He than goes "it's not any of my business but you do what you want with your money " He goes to the back to replace screw comes out and I tell him what I paid for it He than says this is not real . It's something that someone gets for 100 dollars, The diamonds aren't real . They are CZ I REPLY NO THEY ARENT HE THAN SAYS , Yea I have a diamond tester I'll show you , He gets the tester they come back as diamond , He goes false alarm , Than he went to the bracelet part and wasn't touching the small diamonds so it wasn't beeping than he says well it is what it is . After I pay he goes "I'm sorry" Me "for what" Him " that you spend so much money on a watch and it's not real" It pissed me off , I have a watch tech in cinco ranch T and M watch repair , they do work on my Rolex , but they are in cinco ranch so I couldn't drive all the way over there , but I did it anyway to see if this company was Bs me , And sure enough my watch repair tech said everything is original, the movement and everything else , diamonds are real , it just needed to be sealed . That's all . This old man at regals was either HATING HARD OR JUST DIDNT KNOW WTH HE IS TALKING ABOUT .

Frank Lendvai is a fantastic owner and his staff are super friendly for watch repair and resizing of rings.

I don't write reviews often, but this experience genuinely stood out…read more I came in after accidentally damaging my engagement ring pretty badly. Instead of just taking the repair and moving forward, they took the time to walk me through everything honestly. They explained that while they could fix it, the ring itself was cracked and there was a real chance of ongoing issues down the road. That kind of transparency is rare. It would have been easy for them to take my money and say nothing, but they chose integrity instead. That alone earned my trust. On top of that, they handled another ring for me, polishing and reshaping it, and the turnaround was quick and the result was beautiful. You can tell they care about their work and the people they're helping, not just the transaction. It's not always what you want to hear as a customer, but it's exactly what you need. I'll always respect a business that values honesty over a quick sale, and this is absolutely one of those places.

Super impressed with Westbrooke Jewelers…read more I had read many good things about this particular jewelry store, but on a whim I decided to stop by for a very specific reason: I have a very old small 8-day clock that decided to quit working. All of my efforts to try to bring it back to life failed. Clock shops said they wouldn't work on it because it's either too old or its mechanism is more like a watch. My regular jeweler (whom I love) does not work on clocks. So, this heirloom with a lot of sentimental value to me sat, inoperative, for well over a year. Since I drive by Westbrooke Jewelers almost on a daily basis, I took a few pictures of the clock and stopped in. I was so hoping that they could do what others wouldn't or couldn't - and sure enough I was told I could bring it in to them! Yippee! Immediately went home, retrieved the clock and came back. I was assured that they'd get it back up and running. And that they did. Yes, it took some time to get it done. And yes, it was not cheap to get this repaired. But, since I own multiple other clocks that have required repairs/rebuilds, I know that any clock repair can cost some good money. The important questions are: was it actually fixed so it's operative; and do they provide a guarantee on their work? When I went to pick it up, Jami was excellent about explaining what repairs were performed. There is a one-year guarantee on all their work, so if something should go awry, I need to bring it back. Perfect! While I was here, I did scope out their merchandise. Gorgeous stuff! If you're in the market for GOOD jewelry, I'd stop by. Life is too short to wear cheap jewelry! Obviously, too, Westbrooke knows how to do a variety of repairs. So pleased that I stopped in and have found a lovely shop with very friendly owners. And I'm tickled that my clock now works!

    Kings Gem Center - I can't say it's a shop, but rather a corner.

After getting a recommendation from my previous rock shop family (who recently closed its doors:…read moreShu's Rock Shop), I found myself driving from my stationed home to North Houston just to browse at some rocks since there is no longer any rock shops near my area. The owner Carol King is such a sweet lady and I even got a chance to meet her in person at the Houston Gem and Mineral Show last weekend: November 11th. As I spoke with the owner, Carol King that morning she was telling me that she wouldn't be there and that she would come on Saturday. I knew I wouldn't be in North Houston on Saturday and decided to visit the rock shop on Friday instead. Before I got off the phone, she reminded me that it was located within the Northwest Mall. When I arrive to the area, from the outside the mall looks just like Almeda Mall, but its a lot more vacant and looks run-down. No, worries. Also, what surprised me was that it is located inside of the antique mall. I thought, "Super cool!" As I walked inside the establishment, I spoke to this guy sitting in the front with a sign that read, "Bags to be checked". I asked the guy where would I find Kings Gem Center and he told me that it was on aisle 7. Then, I asked him if he needed to check my bag, but to my concern he reassured me that the sign only applied to individuals who were shopping in the mall. So, as I am walking to aisle 7, I see various of antiques everywhere. Wow, this place is huge! Finally, I arrive to what seems like a rock corner rather than a rock shop because of how tiny the space was. I was a little disappointed to find this small area and not a full blown shop as I was hoping to find a birthday gift for my mum. However, I'll give them another try when I come back with my sister. Hopefully, next time I come back, the owner would be available. Also, if you plan on coming it would be best to call before you just show up. Additionally, they have been in the lapidaries business since 1971.

I took my engagement ring to them to have them put the stones into a new setting. They told me…read moreoriginally that it would take 3 weeks and that I would receive sketches and an estimate before any work was ever done. That never happened. Communication was horrible, I would go weeks without ever hearing from them and when I would hear from them I would be told that they would send me an estimate or sketches and I never did. I didn't get a quote on what everything would cost until the day that I went to pick my ring up, and they had my ring for well over 2 months. When I went to pick it up she showed me that the center stone had a crack on the side, but this was the first that I had ever been notified despite talking to her numerous times. The lighting in the store was bad and the stone was in a new setting so I thought that color inconsistencies and the shape not being how I remembered was due to the new setting and the lighting. When I got home I discovered that the "crack on the side" that she told me about was actually a crack that went all the way around the center stone and that the top half of the stone had obviously come off and had been glued back on. I can literally see glue through the center stone. It is now 6 days before my wedding and I am devastated. My ring and the stone were a one of a kind and now it is ruined. :(
