Awful experience. I contracted with them to move musical instruments. I was told that that shipment would take 6-8 days, but it actually took 7 weeks. During those 7 weeks, my contact person (Kim), never called me to give me an update and repeatedly did not return my phone calls. I was amazed by this lack of communication, and found the situation quite stressful. After the shipment arrived, I asked Kim for some kind of financial compensation; she immediately refused, which I can understand. I then told her that I had found the experience stressful, and that I had been very annoyed by the lack of communication on her part. Kim immediately became extremely defensive and, rather than apologizing or trying to understand, tried to dispute that she hadn't returned my calls. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.... i hired Eddie to ship a package to my son for Christmas on December 9th to Thailand ...bottom line the package never made it ..it just happened to disappear he gave me the run around for well over a month saying he could'nt find it and said he would refund me the 375.00 he charged me BUT HE NEVER DID !!! The package had a guitar, a camera 5 pair board shorts, sim cards guitar strings, a guitar case and some other gifts from the family valuing well over 3000.00 ...still makes me sick to think he was no help, making me wonder if he had anything to do with it just vanishing PS it made me add a star other wise i wouldn't have put any !! read more

I had the misfortune to use Shannon Express to ship ten boxes to Dubai last summer. They did not communicate effectively with the receiving company nor pass on my email address to them which was on their form. I had a great deal of trouble getting my boxes on the Dubai end. Shannon Express didn't help. I wrote a detailed letter of complaint to the president and there was no response. I sent it again to make sure he received it and again, no response. I do not recommend using this company. They are poor communicators and one doesn't need that with international shipping. read more

My experience with Shannon Express International to say the least was simply awful. They need to take the "International" off of their title. They will put your cargo on an international boat and that's about it. My cargo ship to Buenos Aires was a month late. I had to pay more than double of what they quoted me..this was hundreds of dollars more than what I was quoted. They work with 3rd party shipping companies and blame them when things go wrong. Shannon express international is a scam, they are not reliable, and not efficient at all. They cun you out of your money. I gave them my luggage to be air freight to Nigeria. For more than 6 weeks I did not get my luggage,all my son's foods that he supposed to eat during our vacation were destroyed, he was unable to use his important medication that were in the luggage, we called several times nobody picked up neither did anybody returned my calls. Until my brother called from New York with a different number before he sent the luggage to New York. Then I started calling him for refund of the remaining of my $976.00 now he did not pick up again neither did he want to refund my money. This is a bad business that does not worth anybody wasting their precious time and resources for. They lack all business etiquettes, plus they are not professional at all. Do not use them under any circumstances. I was promised a delivery date in writing. As soon as i paid them they stopped replying to my emails. When I called them 7 days later the shipment was still in NY! I had to call them several times a day to check on status and shipment still took more than twice longer to deliver than what they originally promised. Do not use this company. My husband used Shannon on our cross-country move to ship several priceless musical instruments. All the instruments arrived late by at least a week, and the last one arrived a month after their promised arrival date.
