It's a little off the beaten path for me and I'm a lazy ass so it took me until this weekend to get there! Arriving- It's in the clubhouse of the North Golf Course in the Highland's Ridge Community. Follow the signs for that clubhouse or let your GPS do the work. If you are familiar with the area, it was formally The Tavern. Ambience- So this is what a lot of folks would call a Country Club restaurant. As I had patronized the old tenants, I was curious how they were going to transform it into an Irish Pub. The answer is they didn't! It looks nothing like and Irish Pub. It's a large space with lots of natural light and traditional furniture. It has lots of outside seating that's covered with ceiling fans and many seats have a nice view! There is a very small bar that seats about six. In short, it looks like a Country Club restaurant. So much for pub ambience! Customer Service- Awesome, maybe seven stars! I had substantial interactions with the manager, bartender, and a server. All were exceptional. Adult Libations- Definitely not a pub style bar. It's a full bar with just a few taps but nothing special. Food- Like the ambience, it's an American menu with a couple of Irish dishes. There's Bangers & Mash and Shepard's Pie. Other than that, they throw in a couple of Irish terms to deceive you but it's really an American menu. There're enough choices to satisfy most folks. See their website. I ordered Irish Brisket Flatbread- Brisket, bacon, caramelized onions, diced tomatoes, BBQ sauce, mozzarella cheese @ $13. It was out in good time and plated very nicely. Plenty of food for the price so good value. The flatbread was nicely crisp. I love caramelized onions and that's the base here. Everything was very fresh. Plenty of brisket. Unfortunately, the onions overpowered the other ingredients, so the flavors were not balanced. It was tasty but needed a little work to be a winner. Conclusion- If you're looking for an Irish Pub, you're in the wrong place. If you're looking for an American menu that has some potential with a great staff and beautiful outside seating, give it a try. As they are new and the staff is awesome combined with the outside seating, I'm going to be a little charitable and say four stars!

My friend, Randy, said to her the sign says 9pm she told him she wasn't doing this with him right now cause she had a hard day. I asked if Randy and I could finish our pool game, and she said no cause they already said they were having a meeting at 8 pm. Which they didn't tell us until after we had already bought our drinks. I said that's BS, and she told me to get my ass out of her bar and that I could keep my ass and drugs oit of her bar. I told her I don't do drugs and she could test my ass. I then said half her staff does cococaine and called her a bitch as I was walking out. She threatened to kick my ass and the 6'5 bar back chic stood up acting like she was going to hit me. This was all while I was walking out to leave. Then after I left she called my boss, Penny, trying to get me fired. Thank God I have an awesome boss. Anyone can ask my boyfriend, Randy, Doug or Bill. Here is what happened- The Chain- Based in Tampa, there are around 140 locations with the majority in Florida. They can be either franchised or corporately owned. They tend to use existing spaces so the interiors can vary quite a bit. Over the years, I think I've been to four of them. Arriving- This one is on the northbound side of US Route 27. It's in a plaza fronted by the local MickyD's. Just look for the golden arches. Plenty of easy parking. Pro Tip- If you are a Yelp Check In person you'll frown. The address is screwed up and maps about 5 miles away so no Check In! Ambience- These guys bill themselves as a Family Sports Restaurant and that's about right. Zillions of TVs! You'll be surprised how small it is. The u-shaped bar seats about 15. Booths around the edges and mostly high tops in the middle. There is nothing unique about it. It's clean & neat and otherwise unremarkable. Adult Libations- Full bar with maybe ten taps and lots of bottles. Not a fancy craft beer place. You'll have seen the selection many times. I ordered a pint of Goose Island IPA @ $6.50 but it was 2 for 1 so not only tasty but a great deal. Wi-Fi- Kind of a mess and needs work. Mia wasn't available this time, but Jailene picked up right where she left off and carried the torch beautifully! What an amazing server! When you can laugh, smile, and crack jokes on both sides of the table--server and guests alike--it's no longer just dinner. It's a memorable evening! And the food? HOT! I'm talking STEAM coming off the plates! I ordered the blackened salmon with potatoes and broccoli. My wife enjoyed the shepherd's pie. And those cheese bollocks? WOW! Absolutely delicious!
