The portions were definitely large enough for more than one meal. This is just your classic neighborhood takeout done well. I ordered the General Tso's with the mild spice level, and it was just right with a flavorful sauce that had plenty of sweetness and just enough heat. The crab rangoons were great, and while the pork fried rice was good, I'd probably swap it for a different fried rice next time mainly because pork isn't my favorite. The only miss for me was the egg roll, which had a smoky pink meat inside that was kinda weird. Everything else though, was exactly what I wanted; comforting, dependable Chinese food that I'd happily order again.

Inside is small enough for a few people to sit but it's mostly setup for takeout. The portions were huge for the price. I always check the crab rangoons first at a new Chinese place and yes, I ate one in the car. It was everything you want with no soggy or burnt bits at all. I struggle to find my favorite dish, Beef with Mushrooms, and China Star actually has it. Not sure why it's tough to find, but I am so happy they have it and it is so incredible because I have such a limited diet and I can actually enjoy this particular dish. My partner enjoyed his fav General Tso's and the fried rice was so good he ate it before anything else! The fried rice alone had more flavor than most places we visit. The flavors of each dish are strong and not bland like you sometimes get with Chinese takeout. Pickup was smooth and the parking could not be easier. A great find for late night Chinese food.

I love getting their lo-mein noodles & their general tsos chicken and orange chicken are also very good! Sometimes the drive-thru has a long line and the wait can take a little while but that's because all food is cooked fresh immediately & is cooked to-order so I would say it is worth the wait. There wasn't much of a wait for our food either. Now the food. I can't say the same. There was a kids menu but no kids juices so that was disappointing. I ordered the spicy beef fried rice, the beef did not taste fresh and gave my rice a weird taste. The vegetable fried rice was dry BUT had an enjoyable blend of vegetables. The vegetable Lo mein was not flavored BUT the vegetables were thoroughly cooked. The "Chinese" doughnuts were still a bit doughy inside BUT they were surprisingly still good and I'd say were my favorite for the night. Also to note, there wasn't any prices on the dine-in menu but included on the takeout menu which I thought was different because no one wants to be surprised with their bill. Overall, not a spot I'd be visiting again.

I dined in and enjoyed the very hot Crab Rangoon and amazing sweet n sour sauce. It was thick! Loved that it wasn't runny. I ordered the Mongolian Pork, extra spicy with pork fried rice. Both were super hot and delicious. Very impressive! Loved the sauce and fresh veggies. The restaurant is clean and well run. I would totally return.

Ordering was a bit frustrating--you have to do it through DoorDash even for pickup, and it doesn't let you customize much. I tried to add shrimp to my fried rice by leaving a note, but I had no way of knowing if they saw it. Turns out they did add it (with a $4.50 upcharge), but I didn't find that out until I got home and opened the container. It would've been nice to be notified or asked to confirm the change as it says it will and asked your preferred way to be contacted. As for the food--it was just okay. The fried rice was super yellow and didn't have much flavor. The sweet and sour chicken was fine; the breading was a little doughy for my taste, but nothing a few minutes in the air fryer couldn't fix. It's hard to mess up sweet and sour chicken, but nothing about it stood out. They estimated a 25-30 minute wait, but my food was ready 15 minutes early and they sent a text when it was done, which I appreciated. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. If you're craving good Chinese food, I'd look elsewhere.
