Where is the review of that poor dog you left on the heating bed and died and never admitted it instead you tell this poor owner the dog collapsed, or what about the poor helpless dogs you hit and curse at because they don't sit still for you. This is the Richmond Ave location. They left a huge gash in my Maltese's arm and charged my credit card full price. When I went back there to show a picture of the gash and stiches not an inch of remorse. Not even, I'm so sorry, I can't believe how bad it is. not even offering to cover the Vet bill. Instead, she told me She provided a service and who would compensate her for the time she spent on my dog. If I wanted my money back, I should call my credit card company and dispute the charge. I was floored. Speechless. Never could I have imagined a response like that. A MONSTER. Speechless and heartbroken I responded "this is how you handle your customers." How could you look at these pictures and not feel terrible? I can only imagine what goes on when we leave and she is alone with our fur babies. When I asked her again how are you going to make this right, she says she was done with this conversation and left me standing there. SHE IS AN AWFUL HUMAN BEING If she can do that to me you could only imagine what she does to These poor animals who have no voice. Even if this was an accident and she wasn't being harmful or negligent to my dog, WOULD YOU NOT EXPECT A PHONE CALL WHEN IT HAPPEN TO TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENED. Or a phone call saying she cut your dog really bad and needs to be taken to Vet. C'mon., anyone with a heart would have done that and had some sort of remorse. She needs to be put in a cage. It was OKAY, I felt like she didn't touch his tail or ears and his hair was barely brushed he also didn't smell good after the cut I don't think she used a grooming spray usually groomers put a nice scent on the dog! STAY AWAY!! New owner is HORRIBLE. I miss Sue so much. She really cared about the dogs she groomed. This new owner is nasty. I wasn't thrilled the last time but I went back to give her one more try. BIG MISTAKE! First she was nasty when I got there. Sue NEVER gave me a problem if I had to drop my dog off early. This owner addresses a lady I just found out was her mother and says "she's an hour early". First of all it was only 45 minutes. Secondly talk to me not your mommy. Thirdly had you asked me to I would have kept her with me a while longer and brought her back. BUT WAIT. THATS NOT ALL!!When I picked up my dog she was acting completely traumatized. She wasn't shaved evenly AT ALL. When I got her to let me take a closer look at her I saw they cut a huge sore into my dogs butt. When I called her to discuss it she's was cold and nasty. Didn't even say she was sorry or ask me to bring her in so she can see what she did. When I told the owner I was taking my dog to the vet she just said "okay". When I told her she would be responsible for the vet bill she replied "so now you're going to tell me what I'm gonna do?" REALLY!!!! She should NOT be allowed near animals. RUN!! What a waste of money! I brought my shih-tzu to be groomed today and told them he just needs a trim. When I picked up my dog he looked like a shaved rat! I asked them why he was groomed that way and I was told that my dog had matted fur. That's not true because I brush my dog two times a day! Not only did they shave him down, his ears were uneven and his tail looked like a dirty mop. When I expressed my disappointment, the owner/groomer could care less. Shampooch is overrated, overpriced, unprofessional. The groomers that they hire need to go back to grooming school and continue their education until they know how to do what they are meant to do. I've tried to find a groomer within 50 miles of Staten Island. Finding fault... almost everywhere (heat dryers, Cage dryers, Facility is too Hot..burns from clippers, don't do large dogs..(OK why are u a Groomer if you don't do large dogs??) or the price is insane. Sometimes there are good reasons to leave Manhattan. This place is worth the drive because of the great service (owner operated, and the owner is the one grooming the dogs - when do you ever see this in Manhattan). I just get so tired of high prices and bad attitudes. In this shop, you get great service WITH great prices. Yes it is possible, just a car ride away. Go in through Goethals or Bayonne bridges and save a buck or two on the toll. Make a day of it with your dog. Dogs love the ride in the car, right. Have a nice South Asian lunch on Hylan Blvd. Yes, it seems silly to drive so far, but do it for the dog! Also, for dogs who hate the groomer, the long joyous car ride is a positive association that negates the trauma of the wash and trim. The long fun trip back allows the dog to forget it ever happened. I have been bringing my Bichon Frise to this establishment for the past 5 years. They have been the best for my Abby ever since i brought her there. I have tried cheaper places near my home because they are a ride for me, but they are so worth it. I have peace of mind when i take them there. I have 2 yorkies and love this place! I tried another groomer once when my first yorkie was a pup. This place was my second groomer and my ONLY groomer since. My dogs always look good and have fun coming here. I can't even drive by the shopping center with my dogs in the car without them jumping and barking to go in for a bath! The owners are great and I have seen them handle dogs of all sizes with such grace. read more
