My Son and I left him at 1 pm and picked him up at 3 pm. I couldn't see the full cut because my baby was climbing all over me. We get home and he is omg butchered!!! While there I still felt a matt and asked her to cut it out. I get home and omg he looks terrible!!! His cut is completely choppy, totally uneven and his mane is chopped up badly! I texted her that I wasn't happy and she told me she could fix it. I told her I was completely unhappy and that it was so uneven everywhere. She then calls me and is yelling at me that she had no time to do it properly because she only had 2 hours with him. Andddd calls me "A fat ugly bitch!!" Then hangs up!! $90 and I gave her a $25 tip for this?? STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! The most unprofessional "groomer" I have ever met!!!! He looks terrible!!!!

Need to start the review first by mentioning Angel. He's a doodle whisperer and has never once given my dog a bad haircut in 3 years. He takes his time, especially knowing my dog has anxiety at the groomers and goes out of his way to accommodate the perfect environment. Cant' say enough about his professionalism. I've also heard nothing but great reviews about the other groomers on staff as well. If you have a dog and need to find the best groomers on Staten Island, Bloomingtails is the spot.

I had stopped by a few days earlier to inquire about getting an appointment and met with Allison for a consult. She was so nice and encouraged me to bring in a picture if I had something particular in mind. "I'll try my best" she said. As a salon owner, I certainly did have something particular in mind. So I made my appointment and brought my precious Sugar Bear in with a pic from the internet. Thirty minutes later, my dog looks exactly like the pic. Needless to say, she made me SO happy! ps- The owner is very helpful and carries an extensive variety of top of the line products at reasonable prices.

We've been told by other places that he has what seem like seizures on the grooming table, and he's usually double muzzled because he's so hard to handle. The owner, Jaime, worked with Milo today, and I was amazed. She kept him calm and comfortable the entire time and didn't have to use a muzzle even once. That alone speaks volumes about her patience, experience, and the genuine care she has for animals. When I picked him up, his haircut was absolutely beautiful, and he looked so happy. The entire team at Barking Palace is incredibly family-oriented, kind, and welcoming. You can truly feel the love they have for every pet that walks through their doors. They treated Milo like he was one of their own, and that means everything to me. I highly recommend Barking Palace to anyone looking for groomers who are patient, compassionate, and truly love what they do!

DONT BRING YOUR DOG TO DOGGY SPA ON 15TH ST Y…read more On May 8th, 2026, I brought my dog in for what was supposed to be a simple teddy bear haircut. I handed over a happy, healthy dog and expected to pick him up looking fluffy and refreshed. Instead, I was horrified when they brought him back completely shaved down without a single warning or phone call asking for permission. I barely recognized him. Later, they contacted my family claiming my dog had red irritation bumps, but that made absolutely no sense. My dog sleeps beside me every single night, and I check him constantly -- he had never shown any signs of bumps, irritation, or skin problems before stepping foot into this place. To make matters worse, they somehow lost his collar, something I then had to replace out of my own pocket. When I brought my dog home, his entire personality had changed. He seemed withdrawn, miserable, and deeply uncomfortable, nothing like the playful dog I dropped off earlier that day. His condition worried me so much that I rushed him to the vet, where I was given medicated cream for his irritated skin. Then, two days later, I discovered a black mark on his ear that suddenly began bleeding heavily. It genuinely looked as though he had been cut during the grooming process. Seeing my dog in pain and bleeding was heartbreaking and infuriating. When I confronted the owner about everything that had happened, she denied every single concern and refused to take any responsibility. The entire experience was upsetting, stressful, and traumatic for both me and my dog. If you truly care about your pet's safety and well-being, I strongly urge you to think twice before bringing them here. I will absolutely never trust this place with my dog again.
