However, luckily I don't have to worry about that here at The Coliseum. People are more than welcoming and the best part, you have to be at least 21 years old to enter. Just serves as a well around place to sort of catch your breath from "everyday" life. Tables are tournament grade and I love that. Thank you for the welcome and I'll be back!

I finally rolled through the drive-thru (because let's be honest, I wasn't getting out of the car with this humidity), and let me tell you -- my taste buds did a happy dance and then asked me why I took so long to visit. I ordered a chili cheese burger with fries and slaw, and baby, that combo slapped. I'm talking messy, cheesy, juicy goodness that made me question every other burger I've ever had. The crew at the window? Sweet as tea on a Sunday porch. Friendly, fast, and all smiles -- which is rare these days when you're not even stepping inside. A couple pro tips: They charge a small fee for card use -- no biggie, just bring cash and save the change for extra fries. And get this -- 10 hot dogs or corn dogs for $12. I mean... what in the recession-proof snack pack is this blessing? Anyway, don't be like past me -- go now. Your stomach will thank you, and so will your wallet. The Dog House? More like Top Dog in my book. I had to call them and tell them how amazing my visit was! My tastes buds are still dancing! No, thank you Brandon! Wow! I will definitely come back with my family next time and eat inside. My kids love corn dogs!

I've dined at El Conquistador many times, and this is another restaurant where I cannot recall…read morehaving a single good meal. I've tried many different menu items, and I consistently walk away disappointed. Similar to other Mexican restaurants in Spartanburg, the food is unbearably bland. I can somewhat excuse blandness because if that's the local palette, that's the local palette. But what I can't excuse is the downright disrespectful lack of effort placed into the food. The prices are not nearly low enough for menu items to have poorer garnishing than Taco Bell items. Service is good when dining in and kind of awful when trying to order takeout. I've gotten bad attitudes or incorrect orders far too many times. I really don't understand the ratings of the local Mexican restaurants. Do Spartanburg residents prefer bland food? Am I being unfair? I don't think so. The nearby La Poblanita Mex food truck is vastly superior in every single way and serves the quality Mexican food that I've grown accustomed to eating.

Great food and atmosphere, but can get crowded fast and parking really stinks. I recommend parking across the street and walking over. The lemon pepper wings are among the best I've had in the upstate area of SC. Not only does the seasoning make your glands explode, the meat is also just as tasty. And the fried pickles have a great coating on the outside (with just a hint of spice) while the pickle retains its dill flavor. Service here is normally pretty good, but when they get busy, things slow down. Severely. Last time we were here I was almost done with my wings before the rest or our parties food arrived. And if you're a party of 6 or more, watch your check. Gratuity is included but you might want to calculate it yourself just to confirm it's right. I'm not saying you're going to get cheated, but with all the "advancements" in AI lately, well things do get configured wrong sometimes. Overall, good food and a pint of Guinness never hurts.

When asked what the fee was the server said that the manager told them that he should charge the gratuity since were a party of 7. There was six of us. When the manager came she said it was a party of 6 that they charge. When asked why their menus weren't noted that they charge mandatory gratuity. They said that they are printing new ones, that it is a policy that they just started 6 months ago. As far as I am aware in order for them to charge mandatory gratuity they have to have it posted in the menu. My point is if you change your policy at least have the menus updated before you have the policy in effect. Ended up paying the service fee of over $35 for all of us. Will be going to a place where tips are earned and not mandatory imposed as a service fee. The service was not outstanding, definitely had better service else where and didn't mind leaving a well deserved tip, way over the 18%.
