I finally rolled through the drive-thru (because let's be honest, I wasn't getting out of the car with this humidity), and let me tell you -- my taste buds did a happy dance and then asked me why I took so long to visit. I ordered a chili cheese burger with fries and slaw, and baby, that combo slapped. I'm talking messy, cheesy, juicy goodness that made me question every other burger I've ever had. The crew at the window? Sweet as tea on a Sunday porch. Friendly, fast, and all smiles -- which is rare these days when you're not even stepping inside. A couple pro tips: They charge a small fee for card use -- no biggie, just bring cash and save the change for extra fries. And get this -- 10 hot dogs or corn dogs for $12. Pretty decent service, more of a novelty. I ordered the cheeseburger with bacon inside and only received a small piece of bacon. I did return to ask for more bacon.(gotta have the bacon) They do have sports memorabilia around the Bar which gives it a cozy look. read more

Stopped in earlier today. The food was edible. We got burgers. They came out way too fast. There is zero chance that these were cooked to order. Still ate the whole burger, but we have had better. Fries were the highlight, if there was one. Coke was flat. Staff was friendly enough. It wasn't far out of our way, but not likely to take that detour next time. Everything we have ordered has been great. Cheeseburgers - hot dogs - French fries were great and we love the Blue Bunny ice cream. You can order a cone, cup or milkshake in any flavor they have. They have a special ice cream "flavor of the month". October was Pumpkin Spice. One other month it was Pistachio. I loved both of them. It is a very small place with a few tables. You can go inside to order or pick up. I usually go to the drive thru window. It gets backed up sometimes. Your order might take awhile if that happens. Just be prepared to wait a few minutes. Everything is made when you order so that's the reason for the wait. Service at the order/pick up Window is always friendly. They have always been happy to answer any of my questions. I appreciate having this choice for lunch, dinner or a snack way out in the country (Campobello). I will update my review as I try different items. Thank you!! read more

Hamburger was large but tasteless. Had been premade and just sitting somewhere until someone ordered it. The cold bun right out of a supermarket plastic package did not help. Some may like frozen fries with coating but I don't. My wife said hot dog was fine. Not inexpensive for what we got. I always like small non chain restaurants and look for "holes in the wall" places. , But in this case I wish I had travelled further to , well, anyplace else. read more

I've been once with my husband and we were thinking about going again for lunch today.. started looking at reviews and saw the business owner reply (which was incredibly sarcastic and blatantly rude to his unsatisfactory customer) and decided we won't be taking our business here. We were in the business on Saturday October 30,2021. We arrived at 2:40 pm. There was a sign on the door stating that they were closing at 3:00 pm for Halloween. We were just ordering burgers and fries and were told that they didn't have any more burgers; so we ordered Hotdogs. We sat down at a table and waited for our food. There was other customers coming in. We felt like that we could eat our food and be out of there by 3:00 pm or shortly afterwards. We got our food and hurried to finish it. Our complaint was that a young lady with blonde hair was behind the counter washing the serving pans. She was banging and slamming them as loud as possible . Then she proceeded to come to the dining area and stack the chairs. She picked them up and dropped them into each other. There was two small little boys sitting near where she was banging the chairs and I know that she scared them to death. I've never witnessed such rudeness. We talked to that family as we were leaving and they said that was their first time there and that they had never witnessed such outright rudeness. By the way the other young lady was a peach. She's truly your only asset. Your food is very good, but you need to work on your customer service. By the way we left at 3:10 pm. They should have allowed the customers served before 3:00 pm to finish their food without a server reacting the way that young lady did. Brenda M. read more

Love this restaurant! Workers are very friendly and the burgers are great. Its a must to stop by if you're in the area.

The food here is pretty good. But the man who I assume is the owner has to be one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. He acts like taking your order is an inconvenience for him on the phone and in person. This is a small community with very few restaurants. I have to admit the employees are usually very rude. The food is good, usually. I was going to get a burger once and they had a "monthly special" with cheddar on it. When I tried to order it the man at the register said "We don't have cheddar. Never have, just American." If this was my first time here I would have wrote it off as he's just have a bad day. But I come here once or twice a month when passing through to run errands and he is ALWAYS a jerk! Everyone is usually, they're slow as well. I don't know why this place has gotten so many bad reviews. The food is always fantastic. Yeah the owner can be a bit dry but if you really knew him you would know thats just his personality and he actually does love what he does. He is also great with our 5yr old son who can sometimes be a bit much which in my book is an automatic 5stars!! When asked where to go eat 9/10 times my family yells THE DOG HOUSE!! I have been to this restaurant many times hoping to have better luck with the service. The first time I came to eat here, I was very disappointed but I decided that the delicious burger was worth it. However, it was not. The owner is incredibly rude and the next 2 times after this, they messed up both my order as well as my friend's. My friend asked for a cookies and cream milkshake which they didn't even make until he went back up to remind them (this was at a time where we were the only people in the place). However, when it was eventually made, it was a plain vanilla milkshake. They also charge extra for cups of sauce that they sometimes "forget" to bring you. When my boss announced that we were all going to the Dog House yesterday, I wasn't quite sure what to think. When he pulled up to an old, side-of-the-road restaurant that looked like a potential food poisoning factory, I was convinced he had lost his mind. However, this place makes some great, no frills food at an incredibly reasonable price. I got a pimento cheese burger, and I expected the patty to be your typical wafer thin, incredibly dry, pre-made patty for $3.99. However, I was quite pleasantly surprised when a delicious, juicy burger showed up instead. Fries add $2 more, but you get a huge order. Between 5 of us, we each ordered a burger or a hot dog and the table split 2 orders of fries, and we were all stuffed walking out. The decor is about what you'd expect from the outside appearance, but the food and the prices definitely make up for it. This place is a great hole-in-the-wall find! read more
