definitely the cheapest seafood boil place ive been to in nyc but sadly taste was also prob worse than any other seafood boil ive had in nyc. we got 2 lbs of the head-on shrimp which weren't the freshest and seasoning was ok. the garlic noodles were super salty and were soaked in soy sauce which i dont think im a fan of. also got their flavored lemonades which were only $2.50 but werent mixed so first sip was just flavored syrup. service was great but food kinda dissapointing. also pretty empty inside compared to other spots.

We've ordered delivery from this place several times, and it's consistently good. Their easy-peel shrimp lives up to its name for it's really effortless to peel. Their snow crab legs meet expectations. Dungeness crab was wasn't our favorite, for the meat itself was a bit salty. The crispy wings come with a choice of sauce on the side, which I appreciate since I prefer undressed wings. The side bread is served as a lobster roll style sliced bread, which pairs nicely with the meal. We typically alternate between this spot and Aquaboil across the street, but when Shaking Crab offers their BOGO deal, it's hard to resist!

This was a neat spot to eat at. The food was great, we had the loaded garlic noodles and it was delicious. Our waiter "D" recommended the Hennessy punch and OMG, it's the kind of drink that sneaks up on you. I know when we come back we will visit again. Thanks D

We came here after a semi-disappointing experience at Aqua Boil, so we ordered a similar meal to compare with. The three of us got the combo that came with shrimps, mussels, and crawfish, as recommended by TuTu, given it was our dinner part 2. We were offered cajun fries on the house and the house sauce on the side to try without us asking. The friendly gesture by TuTu was much appreciated. Overall, the food and the service were better than Aqua Boil....not to mention the attractive price. We'll be back again!

I came here for a family member's birthday and we all had an amazing time. The server gave us shots on the house and we really had a good time. The food was nice and hot, plenty of seasoning and the seafood was great and very big pieces. The price was excellent for all the food that we got! I will be back

They triple bagged my order which I appreciate! This wasn't that bad... one of the clusters I got was very salty, barely any meat and seemed old. The other cluster I got was fresh and meaty. The corn was definitely frozen and not fresh. The sauce was also salty. I personally won't be ordering here again.

Beware of this one! 3 different prices, Yelp, printed menu, & menu on their website. We were charged the printed menu pricing which was the highest. Food was ok, service was good, toilet door didn't lock, inconsistent pricing appeared to target tourists, which I've also experienced from side-walk vendors.

I cannot say enough good things about this establishment. I live in the area and always come here when I crave seafood boil and it hits everytime! The staff here is the most attentive, kind and loving team I have ever been served by. The food is consistently good and you are not kept waiting to be served like other restaurants in the city. From a casual date night to a large birthday party, this place has always met my needs and exceeded my expectations. The food is also so unbelievably reasonably priced and it really is a bang for your buck, which is rare in this city I highly recommend this place!

It was not a good experience. Overpriced for what they offer. I had a pound of snow crab legs for $35.00. Absolutely no meat inside, thin like sticks and overly drenched in butter sauce. One of the waiters gave us a complimentary drink, served with four straws. Never said what it was, just that it was complimentary. The problem is...it was an alcohol beverage AND there were two teenagers at the table who immediately began sipping away.!!Now they think mom allows them to drink alcohol ...SMDH!! The cat fish was dried asf, the mac n cheese was trash. The entire meal was taken off the bill because it was that bad. Music was chill. Surprisingly, all hip hop. Nothing special about the service. I won't be back that's for sure. PS I didn't bother taking pics, I was too upset.

    Welcome to Shaking Crab

Shaking crab is a cool divey option if you're interested in having seafood, like crabs, shrimp or mussels. There are various options of sauces to go with your seafood option/s. Be ready to crack crabs or peel your shrimp. No ambiance or funny vibes here, just seafood options and they are great for groups large or small to create your own vibe. They provide latex gloves and cleanup wipes for when you're finished, so get cracking and shaking with your crustaceans.

Come and eat for a great price.

The lobster is a little chewy, but the spicy claws were very flavorful. All of the crab had so much meat and the seasonings were all amazing. Surprisingly, the iron steak was one of our favorites despite this being a seafood spot. The waiter did say to just check mark the paper instead of quantities, but they end up bringing you 2 of everything you order. The sweet & spicy fish is also very solid, garlic noodles were buttery, and even their iced tea was super refreshing. Could not recommend this place more!! Bonus: they play a great 2000s throwback playlist that got us singing along and dancing while we were peeling all our seafood to pass the time. Shoutout to whichever employee put that playlist together!

This is exactly the kind of place that works well when you need something fast but still high quality. Service stood out. Jeanine was excellent; she quickly understood our time constraint, guided us to the right dishes, and kept everything moving without making it feel rushed. At one point we accidentally put a plastic menu over a lit candle, and she handled it immediately and made the moment feel light rather than awkward. The atmosphere was lively and full; the place was packed, but it still felt organized rather than chaotic. The bar looked well stocked, and the overall ambience worked well for a pre-train, Times Square-adjacent stop. Food was solid, with a few standouts. The salmon tartare with sesame crackers was excellent; clean, fresh, and well balanced. Jeanine recommended the shrimp avocado sliders, and that was the right call; they were outstanding. Happy hour oysters were fresh and well balanced. Littleneck clams were good, though slightly less compelling than the oysters. The fish tacos were good but not particularly memorable. Fried calamari was well executed, though the accompanying sauce could have used a little more flavor. The hot sauce, assuming it is made in house, was excellent and added a much better punch to the seafood. Drinks from the happy hour menu, including the Pink Flamingo and margarita, were good and consistent. I would come back to try more from the main menu. If you like seafood, this is a strong option for the price point and location, especially during happy hour.

The front door was open and it was cold. We asked a waiter to close the door and he said they had to leave it open. We saw the manager constantly closing it when customers would swing it open so we ended up asking him and he said no problem and closed it right away. I never knew I needed scallops in a curry paste sauce until now... omg SO good. The sauce alone deserves its own review. Third visit was date night and we shared the crab fried rice (obviously a must), the coconut crab curry, okay I totally get the hype now because it was DELICIOUSSSSS and the pork belly chili garlic. The flavors were amazing, super bold and savory, but we personally didn't care for the pork itself. Still definitely worth trying if you're a pork lover. My garlic butter Nova Scotia Lobster was divine. Cooked, and served to perfection! Next the sizzling sea bass was brought to the table! O-M-G! Within a second after arriving to our table still sizzling. Jose came to personally debone the fish (never had that done before) and he added the Thai chili sauce.
