this is in the recreation center. you can order at the pads in the front so you can take your time and know exactly what you are getting. I got the acai bowl because i didn't wan't any protein in my smoothie. there were a couple ice chunks but i really enjoyed the mix of flavors and textures. the granola and coconut flakes offered a really nice crunch. it was a little on the sweet side (i think there was a syrup drizzled on top?) so some tartness would have offered a good break. read more

This place has been the best smoothie I have had in Tucson! (Granted, I don't purchase a lot of smoothies, I usually just make them at home.) something I love about this spot: ITS PLANT-BASED options! The location (1 of 2) I go to is in a strange location that seems like it's placed inside a student dorm or something. Not great to find parking. (Just a note) ~~~ the customer service is pretty great so far,, and the FRUITOPIA with plant-based protein powder has been my favorite smoothie there. I would absolutely recommend this smoothie spot. I can't believe this place doesn't have higher stars! It's very popular on campus. The entrance is inside the rec, so if you're looking for it, go inside the rev first. The main plus for me is how healthy and how transparent about their ingredients they are. Do you know how hard it is to find a place that doesn't put syrups or flavor shots in their food instead of actual whole ingredients? Here, if you order a strawberry shake, it's got a bunch of strawberries in it, not just strawberry sugar syrup! They add agave instead of high fructose corn syrup - which is a natural whole food. As someone who eats paleo, this is great. If you're vegan or keto or anything really, this works for you! Their menu is huge AND they have months special shakes! I've tried nearly everything off their menu and certainly have my favorites, but it's all good. I brought my mom their February coconut chocolate shake and she thought it was dessert. They're highly customizable and high in protein, too! Their customer service here is STELLAR. I've had employees show me the ingredient labels on some of their ingredients just because I was curious if the peanut butter was just peanuts or if it had sugar (it's just peanuts!). They email me nutritional information about the monthly shakes whenever I ask. Very friendly! As someone who also works in customer service I'm very impressed! read more

This place recently opened in the Rec center, and is exactly what they needed at UA! They have super interactive iPads you can order on and make exactly what you want! I got a Raw PB bowl modified it to perfection... this place is going to be so popular on campus when school starts! This place is perfect if you are into healthy on the go food. I have been coming here after my workouts and my favorites are the organic super shake and the açaí energy. The employees working are super helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. They help guide you to something that fits your taste. New healthy spot on campus located at the recreational center! They have a variety of options such as wraps, protein shakes and Acai bowls. So glad Shake Smart opened up since we do not have the healthiest options at the U of A. My favorite is the rawacai bowl, chocolate chip oatmeal and cold brew! Also those with nut allergies, they have a but free blender which I wish every smoothie shop had! Highly recommend for students on/near campus! read more

There is a large variety of options (wraps, smoothies, acai bowls, oatmeals, cold brew, etc.) and there is a self order system on iPads which allows you to make your order just to your standard with modifications and add-ons! My favorites are the Raw-PB scooped acai bowl, cold brew w/ almond milk, or the Turkey Pesto wrap!! YUM! read more

It's ok. Your standard sub-par college spot. The raw açaí bowl has no tartness like real açaí does. The açaí is premade and too sweet and there are barely any strawberries in this bowl. The strawberries that are in it are mashed and seem like they're mixed with sugar so it takes away from the "healthy" aspect. Wouldn't get it again as it doesn't taste like a real açaí bowl. read more
