Shake shack is always a good option. First time I've tried Shake Shack was in New York City and haven't looked back since. This is a great location to get a quick bite to eat before heading to Wrigley. This place can get packed, especially before cubs games and the service is OK. When we arrived we had to place our order on the screen. Nobody to greet us or assist us. They did deliver our food to our table which is always a nice touch. My son ordered their regular ShackBurger and I ordered their Double ShackBurger. This burgers are small and pricey but damn delicious. We also ordered a side of fries which got us pretty full. The burgers taste homemade and everything tasters fresh. I can definitely see myself coming more often. read more

It was a game day and everywhere was kinda packed. But then I noticed shake shack was almost completely empty, I thought they might be closed. So I went in and stood behind two women at the counter to be next. They were large women and I couldn't see the kiosk that is the ONLY way to order. I couldn't understand why no employees were coming to the counter. They were All in the back and 3 - 4 were sitting at tables. Eventually the women who took 10 minutes to finally finish entering their order stepped away. I asked "is place open?". They explained to me that you have to order at kiosk, and there was only one. I tried to order but had difficulty and there was NO ONE to help assist me, i suddenly knew why this place was empty on a game day. How much are you saving having customers doing All the work? No employees would come near the counter, they all seemed very disgruntled. I felt completely unwellcome. NOW I know why no one was in there. I truly believe ALL the negative reviews are real. Needless to say I went to Culver's and was very much welcomed and my order was taken right away. I don't believe this Shake Shack will make it, I've lived in this neighborhood for many years. Love Shake Shack and love this location! I've never actually eaten inside. We typically order for pick up, but the staff has always had our food ready by the time of our arrival and has been friendly. We order from here pretty regularly because it's seriously one of my favorite burgers (despite being a chain). I always go with a double shackburger. It's SO flavorful and definitely checks all the boxes for me. On the side, I typically go with fries, sometimes even cheese fries! I don't add the cheese every time because it can be hit or miss, sometimes being cold and a weird consistency by the time of pick up. What made me want to write this review was the incredible shake I ordered the last time I visited. Shake Shack is currently doing a collaboration with Momofuku Milk Bar in New York and they have created 2 limited edition shakes. I got the cornflake chocolate drizzle and my husband ordered the birthday cake. Oh my GOSH guys -- order the cornflake one! Seriously one of the best treats I've had in a loooong time, we ended up sharing because he kept stealing mine! Like I said, I love Shake Shack. Shake shack is pretty dependable. NYC original. Tasty smash burgers. They're always have great toppings and I love the smashed patty. It gives more diverse texture and more caramelization of the meat. I usually go for a bacon cheeseburger or variant. One thing I notice was missing during the summer, maybe I've been living on a rock, but they didn't have the custard concrete, which is custard based dense and rich ice cream. Hmmmm..... my first experience was not a good one. Walked in and was checking out the menu. I decided on the avocado bacon burger. They have the "add avocado" all over the place. Funny how they are out of avocado. At first I thought the guy was joking. Out of avocado but you are advertising it all over. Okay... I went with a regular cheeseburger. There was nothing special about this burger at all. The fries are the same ones I can throw in the oven at home. My friend got an orange creamsicle shake that looked gross. The top had a neon orange foam that she ended scooping out. I find it hilarious that her shake looked nothing at all like the pic online. This orange foam was taking up half of the cup. On top of the lack luster food almost all the tables were dirty. While we were eating the staff started "cleaning up" and it was so gross to see that what was being used to wipe the tables down was a wet red rag. I'm sure most places use a dirty rag to clean but it's just gross seeing it. The two stars are for the key pad to the bathrooms. Having to use a code to get in prevents no paying customers from using the bathroom. You will find the code on your receipt. So shake shack you get two stars for the bathroom keypad. Never again. So many other places to grab a real burger in Wrigleyville. Culver's beats this joint by far. read more

This isn't the first time I've had Shake Shack, but this is the first time I ordered for pickup at this location. I was craving a delicious burger and the yummy cheese fries. The middle of the burger was undercooked so I was only able to eat half of it. The French fries were over cooked and the cheese was supper thick with crust on top. Shack shake is one of my favorite fast casual burger chains. This location was especially great! It's newer so everything is very clean even and renovated! The staff was also very nice and friendly with extremely quick service. The general manager even interacted with the customers, which was very nice for a fast casual restaurant. I've had both the burgers and chicken nuggets. Both are amazing and I highly recommend the cheese sauce for the French fries. The shakes are very rich and delicious. This is the Wrigley Field Shake Shack. One of the newer branches of the East Coast burger chain is located a stone's throw from the home of the Chicago Cubs in the middle of Wrigleyville. Popular even on a cold, snowy weekday, this place must be hopping before or after a game. There is limited parking in the area, so ride the Red Line to Addison and walk. Shake Shack is known for their burgers and shakes. Stick to these and you will be great. On my visit, I had the SmokeShack with a single patty. It is my favorite with bacon, peppers, and sauce. The bacon was a little soggy, but still decent. I am not a huge fan of their French fries, but they were decent. You can make your own soda drinks here, including a 50/50 lemonade and iced tea which is what I enjoyed. There are a few more authentic local places around Wrigley Field for a quick snack, but I bet a lot of tourists and visiting baseball fans will make this a gold mine. Inside has a lot of seating, especially towards the back. I don't recommend sitting next to the door when it is chilly outside unless you prefer your burgers as cold as your milkshake! read more

I did not think this day would come, but I officially live close to a Shake Shack! I decided to pop in pretty early for lunch. The inside was very clean and well kept. I beat the lunch crowd, but even if it was busy, the place is big enough to find a seat. I ordered my single Shackburger, cheese fries, and drink and found a table to wait. It takes a little while since everything is made-to-order, but there are a few televisions you can stare at to pass the time. My fries came out perfect: hot and the right amount of crinkly crunch. The cheese on the side was also delicious. The burger was tasty and had enough toppings and sauce on it. It also seemed like they put a half pound of bacon on my tiny sandwich! I only wish the burger came out as hot as the fries did. Shake Shack is more expensive (close to 15 bucks for my order) than some of the other standard burger places around, but if you're craving this specific taste, it's definitely worth stopping in. read more

I don't get the hype. Yes, these are good burgers. Nothing to go out of your way for. Their buns are amazing. Everything else is a step below Portillos burgers and fries. I think the real draw here is the shakes. However, they do have the calorie counts listed on those and it was kinda shocking to see "845" on the sign for the tiramisu shake. Service was fast and friendly, so that was good. The tables lined along the front window are the WORST tables ever. They are so freaking uncomfortable. Whoever picked them needs to be fired because that entire wall needs to be replaced. That is how bad they are.
