Been a while since I've been out this way but stopped in on a Monday evening in July around 5 pm. Guess after a period of time things get old and worn out and that seemed to be the case here. I opted to order at the counter instead of the kiosk (hate them) and the attendant was friendly and accommodating. Ordered onion rings, chicken sandwich w/o lettuce and pickles (not risking the lettuce at this point and don't like pickles) and a chocolate shake. Couldn't get a printed receipt because their printer was broken. The order came to around $18 without tip. Nothing has changed as far as portion size, Shake Shack is always on the small side, but the food was tasty. The shake was pretty thin, usually you almost needed a spoon to eat/drink it. The dining area wasn't very clean, dirty tables trash on the floor which was surprising considering there were only a couple of patrons in the restaurant for the entire time I was there. Hope this isn't a sign that this chain is petering out, time will tell I guess. read more

My adult daughter was able to meet me for lunch after my work shift nearby. Decided to give this place a try. First impression: it was clean, and the staff was friendly and fast. But the food was mid at best and pricey for what it was. I got a single burger and my daughter got a burger as well. We split the fries and a black/white shake and a soda. I then got my boyfriend, a bacon cheeseburger and fries to go. He gave his food a seven overall. I gave my fries a seven, burger an eight and shake a nine. But not sure we'll be back for the price. Ordered in the app so it would be ready when we arrived. My husband and I each got a shack burger and we split an order of truffle fries and rootbeer shake. We originally ordered the Dreamcicle shake but when we went to pick up our order we were told they didn't have the orange so we got the rootbeer instead. A little disappointing but not a deal breaker. While my husband really liked his burger, I wasn't as impressed, it wasn't the worst but definitely not the best burger I have ever had. The fries had parmesan cheese on them and the truffle sauce was on the side. The sauce was unique and flavorful but in the end I am a ketchup girl. Rootbeer float was delicious. I am a frequent customer of this Shake Shack owing to its proximity to my house. It is a fast, easy way to get better than average fast food when you cannot think of anything else and you are on the go. I always get the veggie burger and cheese fries. They are both decent and typically served warm and quickly. I like the easy order kiosks as well. Dining in isn't that exciting, but it is something I've done many times, however there is a drive through. I am trying to find some pluses over other fast food places, but since I'm vegetarian the only one that comes to mind besides it being better quality food is that they actually offer a fast food veggie burger. So, yeah. Maybe this isn't my typical Yelp Elite review, but I do like it and I think it's good. OK? Yeah, that sums it up. Now, I'm thinking about going tomorrow. I'm always up for the new restaurant of the week so I thought that I would try a cheeseburger and cheese frys from the drive through. The drive through took 10 minutes for fast food around lunchtime on a Sunday with no cars in front of me. The building is cool looking and upscale looking for a fast food burger restaurant. I ordered the single shack burger which is cheese, sauce, lettuce and tomatoes with a cheese fry that was $13, $13 with no drink was the most I have paid for a single burger and frys from a fast food burger restaurant. My first thought after opening the box was I paid $13 for this tiny wimpy thin cheeseburger that looked like a value menu burger size from the big 3 chains. The beef patty was thin and small I thought. Taste wise it's ok but nothing amazing. The cheese frys were average crinkle cut with pumped cheese on top and my first thoughts was it reminded of like county fairs cheese frys. My overall impression of Shakeshack was the only thing that was amazing was the price for the size and how average the food was compared to other fast food burger chains so I can't ever imagine returning. If your going to be the most expensive burger chain than you should a pretty amazingly burger to justify it. read more

So happy to see another Wisconsin location for Shake Shack. This Shake Shack is located in a busy area, kitty corner from The Corners. It has been open for 3 months and still busy as ever. Expect to wait for drive through, pick up, and dine in. I love their shackburger. It's small and if you're hungry, I would recommend a double for all their burgers. You have to get a side of cheese fries (generously cheesy) and a seasonal shake. Expect to pay almost double of your typical fast food chain. Their speciality burgers are hit or miss and I normally stick with the main menu burgers. The smoke shack if you want a vinegary kick. Shroom burger if you're feeling meatless. If you aren't feeling a sandwich the chicken bites are well seasoned. Shake shack hits the spot for me. Worth checking out if you haven't been but be prepared to pay a higher price. read more

Ugh! Second time here and the first experience was awful and this one was the Worst! Once again, driving in and wanted to pick up food before going to the hotel nearby. I was staying at the Hampton Inn and I wasn't looking to driving any place for dinner so I just walked across the parking lot.... very convenient. This is just like any other Shake Shack restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant, I had placed my order (Bacon Cheeseburger, fries and a drink) through one of their kiosks. Customers can also order their meals from the counter. The prices are on the higher end for a fast food restaurant. After ordering, I grabbed some condiments and then a table. Within a few minutes, my name was called. The food was good.... just like any other Shake Shack restaurant. Half way through my meal, a manager did check in with me which is a great touch. The atmosphere is very casual with various sizes of tables. The restaurant offers a great outdoor area. Overall, a good experience with food and service. read more

Shake shack is a little bit pricey for fast food, but I was pleasantly surprised to be able to sample several items for under $50. We had a Shakeshack burger, chicken bites, avocado bacon chicken sandwich and fries along with the cookies and cream shake and a beer. The chicken bites were quite good, the outside was nice and crispy, but the inside remained tender and juicy. Same for the sandwich. The burger was really tasty. I disagree with anyone saying that the portions are small. The burger and the chicken sandwich were quite large and there was plenty of avocado on the chicken sandwich. Went through th drive through with my friend and we asked to do two separate orders which we have had done before. They very rudely said no and i asked why and she just kept saying nope, with no other clarification. I understand if your not allowed to do something but then when i ask why dont be rude just answer why. Why are you asking for a tip when I am going through the drive through? Drive through service hasn't been something that we've tipped on before. This is honestly a turn off for me. The food here is ok. Fries are pretty boring. Cheese fries are just liquid american cheese. Burgers are fairly good but occasionally overly greasy. I like me some solly's and culvers but sometimes I question if shake shack dipped the burger in grease first before giving it to me here. Maybe that's why they want the tip. They went out of their way to pour a gallon of butter on the patty. The shakes can be good. If they have a specialty shake it's worth giving it a go. I've usually had positive results there. The standard chocolate & vanillas here are fine, just not worth going out of your way for. I just don't want to be badgered for a tip in a drive thru. I ordered a double shake shack burger on the app and when I arrived, a little later than I anticipated, I found a burger that was waiting for me, completely cold at the pick up area. It surprised me that they don't leave hot food underneath a heater of some sort but nonetheless, I asked an employee if it could be microwaved since it was cold. I was told by the manager that they would remake my burger on the fly as it was no problem at all. Discovered Shake Shack on recent visit to London, UK and it was FABULOUS, so decided to try the recently opened Brookfield store. I had a Shake Stack which was absolutely smothered on mayo and had to use 3 napkins to wipe it down before attempting to bite into it. NOT good. My wife had a Cheeseburger with fries. The burger was way overcooked to the point that it was "crispy" around the edges and the fried onions were so fried that they were more like potato chips! Definitely NOT good. We both had malted shakes that were so thick that one almost needed to hire in a vacuum pump to draw the shake up through the straw! Again, NOT good. Will definitely NOT be back again, but will try another site to see if it can match up to Oxford St., London and if not, I guess we will have to wait until we next visit UK!!! read more

Well, I tried it. I won't be back. First and foremost, a meal for one person: a SINGLE burger, fries, and a drink, is $23.00. Twenty-three dollars. For a single burger patty that makes Culver's thin toilet paper patties look meaty. Long wait time at the window. The teens working were more interested in chatting than preparing my order. I was not given a receipt or ketchup. "Truffle" parmesan fries were room temperature and mushy, with a white powder thrown on them. The white powder literally tasted like nothing: not truffle oil, not parmesan, not even salt. Very tasteless and disappointing fries. Burger was actually hot and I got at least one bite with a faint hint of truffle oil, but again, the patty was about 1mm thick. Nothing about this meal was worth $23.00. How sad to see Perkin's disappear from this corner just for this joke of a restaurant to pop up. Maybe this kind of low effort garbage flies in NYC where this restaurant started, but this place is literally on a mile stretch of Bluemound competing with Kopp's, Oscar's, AND Culver's. Pretty disappointing. The worst combination of words for a restaurant is expensive + mediocre. That's what this place is. I've never had an order made correctly at this location. Last time, I paid extra for peppers on my sandwich which were left off. This time, I ordered their Korean BBQ sandwich and was given a plain cheeseburger with no toppings. This second error was so egregious that I drove around through the drive through and went inside after discovering it. I know they just opened. I'm sure they will fix some things. Other things can't or won't be because they are out of their control. Let's start with the food. I kept it simple. Just a cheese burger and regular fries. I figure if you can't get the simple stuff right, what hope would you have at the complex. Here we ran into the first and for me the biggest problem. Those two items were $10.58. I sorry. I guess I'm just cheap. This was maybe a $3 to $4 burger at best. The fries, nothing special. Frozen, pre-maid crinkle cut fries. The burger had a great sear on it and decent seasoning. Bun was just a plain old bun you could get an 8 pack for a buck at Walmart. The fries. The ones that were cooked all the way were pretty good, the ones that weren't, not so much. The new building looks great. A good amount of parking. Freindly. They have wonderful packaging. My small order came in a very nice bag with 3 color printing. I saw another, bigger order come out in a lovely bag with the nice twine rope handles. Now I know why my food cost so much. Was super excited to check out Shake Shack for the first time and it did not disappoint! While the lines were long (it was opening day), all of the workers were friendly, on top of things, and even out in the rain/snow swiping credit cards to try to speed up the process. The burgers were great! I tried the shake shack burger and a double bacon cheeseburger. Burgers were full of flavor and both were excellent. I loved the shake shack sauce! I would get it on every burger and even some on the side for dipping (note to self!). The bacon cheese fries were good - nothing to write home about, but I would get them again because they're still tasty! Good amount of salt and the cheese and bacon are a great addition! Let me say I didn't appreciate waiting 40 minutes in the drive through, but it was opening night. I've never been to a Shake Shack before and was very excited to try it. Sure, the fries were a bit salty and the items were overpriced for the portions you get, but the Shake Hamburger was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The special sauce was delicious! My mom's strawberry shake was really good (albeit small for almost $6) and my Yuzu ginger blend juice was something I'd definitely order again. I'd love to try different items, but if I see lines like I did on opening night I will skip going. I feel that everyone that had to deal with those insane lines should have gotten a coupon for something to return in the future. I've heard about this place for awhile. My buddy and I decided to check it out on a Friday night around 6:30. We both ordered the Shake Shack burger, I believe that's what it was called I.e. a cheeseburger. The drive thru was busy but surprisingly the dining room wasn't. Honestly I don't get the hype. The cheeseburger came on this thin squashed low budget bun that wasn't even toasted. It reminded me of those cheap 6 buns for $1.49 low end stuff from a Walmart. The burger overdone slid more to one side, the "Shake Shack Sauce" which to me was beige mayonnaise haphazardly dolloped to one side dripping onto the wrapper than on the patty, a small slice of tomato and a thin slice of lettuce. I ordered the fries, crinkle cut, frozen tasting average, generic, no big deal. It came to 11.50 with no drink. I really wanted to love it but frankly I felt ripped off. It wasn't on the same level as The Habit in California. I can get a better burger at Culver's or Oscar's. A Big Mac when it's hot and fresh was better than this. I'll stick to making my own. Wait for food is obnoxious! At the Brookfield location!! Went at 7:25pm on Sunday, and there was only three other customers in the restaurant and it took 25 minutes to get our food. Due to the wait our fries were not the normal piping hot that Shake Shack is usually known for. I don't under stand why there was a wait. It seemed like they had enough employees and the drive thru through did not have many cars. Otherwise the burgers were still the normal Shake Shack delicious! The cashier was nice. We waited 46 min in the drive through. I will not completely hold that against them and try again in the future. For the price of the burgers...the size is tiny! They also have no sides other than crinkle fries so not much to supplement if your hungry and not looking for fries. I would have assumed if I new burger place was going to try to compete with all the burger places within .5 mile of there they would know the competition. I can go to kopps for half the price and the burgers are huge. People will try once and realize. We didn't do any shakes mainly because when we saw the calories posted...I didn't want to hate myself later.
