My husband and I left the Gateway Theatre after seeing a movie and I, of course, was just craving something sweet. We stumbled into this place about 20 minutes before they were closing. It took probably 15 minutes to make my shake which I got to-go but boy did they deliver! It was this gorgeous art piece of a delicious milkshake. Far more than I was expecting but oh-so good. I will definitely be back. In going to post this, I read a few of the reviews -- complaints about max occupancy or stressed out employees -- and just want to remind everyone that we've been living in a crazy pandemic for almost two years. Waited for an hour in line outside of the store. Waited for another 25 minutes while inside. When we got out, someone asked, "Is it worth it?" I don't think. The shakes and crepes were pretty and OK delicious, as you can see in the pictures. But I don't think they're worth the wait and price. There are other options in Columbus with much better taste and price, and you don't have to wait for over an hour. I'm sure opening a store during the pandemic isn't easy, but management better sort out better staffing and customer service. 1. Most importantly, the shake wasn't even good. And was $14!!!! For about a 16oz cup of thin milkshake, whip cream, icing on the side of the cup, and 4 Andes mints stuck in it, and a few m&ms. They definitely shouldn't do the "eight it up" option for to-go orders because it was hard to hold with all the icing on the side while people are wearing gloves in the winter. 2. There's got to be a better system for ordering. Since they allow seating inside, only x amount of customers can be inside at a time. So sometimes, when it's your turn to order, you can't even go inside to order until someone that was sitting leaves. The line is often out the door and it's hard to see inside. There's no # limit posted on the doors to know when you can go inside. Often you'll go in and then get kicked out. No one is near the door to help you know when you can go inside to order. 3. I went with the coffee shake with no extras, not even whip cream. They were fantastic! The staff was friendly and attentive. The space was very clean and tidy. WOW this place is a major hit in my book! My first visit wasn't planned - I was just wanting a milkshake and from somewhere a little more exciting than Dairy Queen. I randomly saw this one after searching for ice cream shops nearby. I am so glad I chose this one. It's very comfy inside - you walk in, and the entire atmosphere is just so inviting. The guys behind the counter greeted us right away and helped us understand the menu. We chose to do the Oreo shake and the coffee milkshake. There is an option to make your shake super fancy (I forget the name they call it - look for that option at the bottom of the menu on the wall!). Trust me, you are going to want to do this. Look at my picture and you'll see what I mean! The milkshakes look like works of art. Also - these milkshakes are what dreams are made of. They are SO TASTY! The flavor just smacks you right in the face and then kisses you on the forehead :) The oreo shake has a strong and rich cookies and cream taste, and the coffee milkshake has a very intense coffee flavor. First, the hours posted online are wrong. Second, they are supposed to open at noon and they didn't open till 12:20. Third, we walked in the building and the guy who was supposed to be making everything was too worried and yelling about "MAX CAPACITY." We counted 23 people total including the workers and the babies we had with us. Fourth, normal capacity is 51 so 23 people is NOT HALF CAPACITY. We were the fourth group in line. We heard the lady at the register say to the second group that there will be a minimum of 30 to 40 minute wait for a milkshake. The guy was constantly walking back and forth from behind the counter to the breaker box because breakers kept blowing. I have to be honest, I feel like this place is overpriced and their advertisements are misleading. The milkshakes are already $10.88 but you don't get those beautiful creative candy coated glasses you see on their Instagram. No, for that you have to pay $15. For the basic shake all you get is the milkshake with whip cream and (in my case) an Andes mint on top. The milkshake tasted great but nowhere near being worth $11. I've been waiting to try this place and finally got the chance tonight! It took us a second to find meter parking and walk there. We arrived around 910 (they close at 10) on a Thursday and waited in line for about 5 minutes . Which was fine because the menu has a lot of yummy sounding things and we had difficulty deciding. The aesthetic of the place is unique and fitting. We decided on the cotton candy milkshake and the Oreo supreme (cookies and cream) and we upgraded to the "eight it up". It regularly costs $10.88 and the eight it up upgrade was $3. When we went to find our seats we sat in the only available seats that weren't closed. They were these super comfy chairs facing high street. Unfortunately the dining area is small and with COVID restrictions half of there seating is blocked. Hopefully, they add some tables outside soon. It took a while for them to make the shakes. I had expected that from the reviews and made sure we weren't in a rush. Plus a good amount of work goes into these shakes so it's understandable. The cotton candy shake was delicious! It had cotton candy they made to order and it was the best cotton candy I've had. It also had sour candy on a skewer it was very good and not stale. The rim had icing with fruity pebbles stuck to it. Then there was whip cream with sprinkles and colorful candies on it. It was a pretty blue and didn't taste like the syrupy fake cotton candy flavors you get from other places. The Oreo supreme had a big Oreo wafer and two Oreo cookies in the whip cream. The rim had icing with Oreo crumbs and sprinkles. The icing rim on the Oreo shake was a lot thicker, so I couldn't eat all of it. After scraping a couple spoonfuls off I could feel a sugar headache coming on and had to stop. The shake itself tasted amazing . I love having quality shakes that don't taste like syrup! The size was a good amount (16 oz). When we were getting ready to leave they asked us how we liked it and thanked us for coming in. All the employees were very friendly. The bathrooms were clean and stocked. Overall, we really enjoyed this place and the experience that came along with it. This is not something I'd do regularly seeing as how it's expensive, but we want to come back and try other things. Daren was really nice and he gave amazing costumer service but there was a girl there that gave me really bad attitude. And I get it it was about to close BUT I asked her if they were still serving and if it was ok to order and she said YES. If she would've said no I would've been ok and left no problem but why would you say yes and then give terrible costumer service, attitude and a half full drink. Smh. I waited thirty minutes and paid $8 (closer to $10 after tip) for a mediocre shake. I got the 16 oz Nutella shake. It was honestly not as good as a UDF or Steak 'N Shake shake. It was kind of thin.
