Photo of various guests who've patronized the establishment. Unsure where they found time to take a picture as there is only 1 worker!

Good flavored ice cream with a multitude of flavors and combinations. If you pick a flavor you don't like then it's more of a you thing than them as most of the stuff here is customizable. Flavor profiles of the various ice cream combinations are there like if you choose s'mores then it'll have the classic s'mores ingredients such as marshmallow, chocolate, graham crackers. One drawback to this place is little to no staff. Not one did the one worker have to take all the orders but he had to stop and make each individual item himself. We waited 30-40 mins before eating our treat from the moment of entering, waiting behind 6 people, ordering ourselves, paying, staffer making it, and then giving us our ice cream. Also there is little to No seating inside or outside. 3 Stars for the wait, one staffer, little to no seating inside or out. This is the type of stuff you've kinda gotta eat while you're there or you'll have a soupy mess trying to get it home before it melts. Are you supposed to walk back in forth in that busy parking lot (cars do a clean 50 or 60 mph through the parking lot NO CAP) chomping on ice cream? Outside of this the product produced is VERY GOOD

So I know it's been quite a while Since I got some ice cream from Freeze Style It's been so hard to reach me With my Barbie beneath me And I'm sure she'll soon walk down the aisle I still have yet to get on my knees But I do when I worship and please And then once she has *** She needs cream in her tum So I take her for rolled ice at Freeze! Freeze Style is the second best Style in Columbus for sure. Doggy Style being the best, of course. Decent bubble tea with good Boba and really tasty rolled ice cream which is also affordable and cheaper than most of the alternatives while also tasting better than most of them. Probably because the owner is a really cool guy and I support him a lot. We had a nice long talk about New York City where he's from and I wish him nothing but success. Definitely one of the friendliest guys I came across in Columbus and he really knows a lot about his products too. His Ferrero Rocher rolled ice cream was nothing short of spectacular. With Nutella all over it. And the guy who made it was a total pro and you should have seen how fast he was with his little scrapers. Kind of like me in Buffalo in January in 30 below when I'm trying to get the ice off my windshield.

Strawberry shawty

I thought this was just a trendy hipster gimmick, but wow, I was blown away with how great this tasted and how unique it is! The way it works is that they lay down some cream on a frozen slab to act as the base, mix in some ingredients, flatten it into a giant square, cut it into strips, roll the strips up, and then finish it off with toppings. Three of us shared the strawberry shawty (original base mixed with strawberries and graham cracker crumbs, topped with whipped cream, strawberry slices, graham cracker pieces, and strawberry drizzle) and Cookie Monster (original base mixed with biscoff cookie crumbs and topped with whipped cream, cinnamon, a whole biscoff cookie, and cookie butter drizzle). They taste just as good as they look. People know I really love something when I make "mmmm" noises while I eat, and that's exactly what happened here! This is a place you must visit if you are in the area. You won't regret it!

Coconut Milk Base With Bananas, Peanut Butter, And Pretzels

Freeze Style is another place to get rolled ice cream. I thought this trend would have just died already. The process is overly complicated, and it usually costs much more than regular stuff. Here it's not as bad. The price is okay and there's a good variety. I got a bowl. It's about $6 for a medium. The ice cream has several choices for bases and toppings. It has several options on the menu. There's also a make your own creation option. I had the coconut milk base. It's dairy free. The mix ins were banana, peanut butter, and pretzels. It has a few tables inside. It's not a big place but there's room for several groups. This is most popular for carryout or sitting outside when it's warm.

Our family recently visited this shop ,located in a nice place , close to OSU , we loved the ambiance ,parking was easy , lots of custom ice cream flavors to choose from , even more interesting was the ice creams were made infront of our eyes , our favorite was the ferrero rocher rolls , we loved it , yummy! We will be back soon !

I think last year is the blooming year for roll ice cream. Nowadays, you can easily find roll ice cream here and there, and even in the mall. Freeze Style is another place the you can get a taste of roll ice cream. You can either get the pre build combo, or build your own with custom flavors and toppings. Beside roll ice cream, they do have smoothies, fruit teas and milk teas. I do highly recommend the Cha Thai roll ice cream. The place is not very big and the sunlight can burst through the big glass window. It is always enjoyable to look at how your ice cream being roll up! Great place to hang out for a little treat for the weekend.

I really wish we had one of these in Tampa. My friend kept telling me she was taking me for interesting ice cream, and I had no idea. What a fun concept. The pictures say it all. You can select from a number of fresh topping choices - including cereal, nuts, fruits and berries - that are chopped up and mashed, and frozen into your selected homemade base flavor ice cream, then rolled up and placed in your chosen sized cup, and even more toppings added to finish it off. You can make your own, or select from about a dozen premade options. I chose one with Biskoff cookies and caramel, whip cream, and mixed some coconut into it as well. It was decadent!

Location: a little hidden it is right next to the bed bath and beyond in the little strip. Probably the best Thai rolled ice cream in Columbus! They have a list of flavors you can choose from or you can build your own! Pricing is better than most places. The matcha berry is amazing!!! It actually tastes like matcha which is hard to find. The Thai tea ice cream was also pretty good. I ended up swapping the lychee for the cookies because I wanted a crunch. My friend ended up getting the pop rocks flavor with coconut milk but the coconut milk tasted a little artificial. All in all, definitely go for the matcha base. Service was great! Will definitely be back!

Finally got to try Thai style rolled ice cream and loved it. There are several tasty recommended options you can choose from. My kids made us their own which mercifully involved chocolate ice cream, marshmallows and gummy bears.. blech. Special points to the guys making the ice cream for not freaking out while making them. I enjoyed my choice: The Buckeye, which involves chocolate ice cream, peanuts and buckeyes (natch) and look forward to trying some other options on future visits. We all got small cups, which were pretty generously sized as none of us actually finished at the store. The guys at the counter were really friendly and even engaged both of my boys (6 and 9) in conversation. My kids were pretty excited about getting their picture taken for the picture wall and they definitely enjoyed the theatrics of watching their ice cream being made. Speaking of which, these guys are working hard to make your dessert, be sure to tip!

This spot goes into my top 3 rolled ice cream spots. The way the flavors meld together at this ice creamery is pretty good. I like the quaintness of the spot. Be warned that when looking for it that the building doesn't actually face the street. You have to drive into the parking lot of the strip mall and it faces the Bed Bath and Beyond. You can get one of the many pre-formulated rolled ice cream creations or you could make your own. It seems that they have just a vanilla base and that that's it. Where as other places have two or more. I got the cookies and cream one. I enjoyed the taste and consistency of it. The presentation of my delightful dessert was on point. It made it even that much more mouth watering. The customer service at this place was quite amazing. I've been to other spots like this and it took for freaking ever to get your rolled ice cream treat. These guys got it to me in no time.

We had so much fun at Freeze Style! The staff was super helpful, as it was our first time. My daughter ordered cookies n cream. The ice cream was outstanding and it comes with POCKY! My mom did the non dairy pineapple coconut. They were super careful about milk issues. It is made with coconut milk and was delicious!!! Fresh pineapple and toasted coconut...yum! We will be back! Oh, and if you tag them in Insta and get 50 likes, you get a free ice cream. We only have 36 right now...check it out @dhoefling.

Fun experience, tasty ice cream! Freeze Style serves rolled ice cream. They have a menu of favorite flavors that you can choose from, or you can create your own. I went off-menu and selected a coffee ice cream base with Biscoff cookie, topped with shaved dark chocolate, more cookies and whipped cream. The friendly staff poured out the ice cream base (made with whole ingredients-nothing weird. They make it in the stores daily) with a splash of Starbucks coffee onto the frozen flat top. She crushed in my cookies and once it was the right consistency, she scraped it off the flat top in little rolls. You can watch them through the whole process. It would be fun with kids. The space isn't really big, a couple of tables and two small bar counters.

Ferrero Rocher with coconut base with added chocolate.

I had been to this place once before and LOVED the ice cream and the Asian owners and staff were so nice!! When I went this second time, I noticed they were under new management and had a much younger staff ( I believe they're a family). I was a little concerned that I'd have the same experience because with this type of ice cream, it takes a special skill to make it well. I ordered the same ice cream I had gotten before (The Chocolate Coma with extra chocolate) and my friend had gotten the Ferrero Rocher hazelnut one and she had hers made with the coconut (egg/dairy free base and added chocolate). Mine still turned out beautiful (and delicious) and my friend said hers was SOO good! The mother/owner noticed we were there celebrating 2 birthdays and placed a candle in both of our ice creams! Then before we left, she also gave us two filled out punch cards that allows us to get a free ice cream upon our next visit! So as you can see, my experience still turned out great! This is a cute, cozy little chill spot with some pretty darn good ice cream and a great staff! Check it out!!

Handel's Ice Cream-Columbus - Turtle Sundae

On the way home from a recent trip to the Cincinnati area, we stopped at Handel's for a sweet…read moretreat. We used to have a location closer to us in Pittsburgh, and we very much miss it, so we make sure to stop anytime we are on a trip and come near one! This specific Handel's Ice Cream location is on Feder Road, just down from the Feder and Hilliard Rome intersection. It is close to the business district on Hilliard Rome, but just far enough off that it is not too loud or busy. The building sits by itself, and can be accessed via Hartford Village Boulevard, or an unnamed road to the right of the store. There is a large sign that sits near Feder Road, so you will know exactly where to go. Since the building sits by itself, there is dedicated parking on both the right side and in the rear. I can see potentially at peak times this being full, but there are other parking lots adjacent to Handel's that potentially could be utilized. Some Handel's locations have an inside, but like most in Ohio, this location is completely outdoors. So, to place your order you simply walk up to the windows, and can then enjoy their bench seating or take your items to-go. When you approach the windows, you will see all of the signage, menu items, and flavors. The overall ambiance here is nice. There is a lot of bench seating and grass area to socialize and enjoy your ice cream at. There is also a fence at the front of the property to prevent anyone getting too close to Feder Road. The building itself is a classic, older Handel's design, that is very recognizable if you are familiar with the brand. They have a very nice, bright mural painted on the right side of the building that brings a lot to the space. Our visit was on a Sunday evening in September, around 6:30 PM. It was not too busy, as it was lightly raining when we stopped. We briefly waited for the few groups ahead of us to order, but then got waited on less than 5 minutes after arriving (including the time we took to look at the menu). The menu had a lot of different flavors to choose from. There were some fall options being that is was mid-to-late September, including Pumpkin flavors! Like all locations, they had cones, cups, milkshakes, sundaes, novelty items, cakes, pies, and much more. My typical order at Handel's is a 4 Scoop Sampler. This is a takeout-like container with four singular scoops of up to four different flavors. It is a great way to try several different kinds of ice cream, or simply when you cannot decide what you want to have. It is a good size if you are wanting a large sweet treat, or to split with someone else. You are able to get anything that is scooped in the 4 Scoop, which includes the sherbets, ices, and other non-traditional flavors. We were not super hungry when we stopped, so my mom, sister, and I shared the 4 Scoop Sampler. For the flavors, we chose Confetti Brownie Batter, Frosted Animal Cookie, Knot Your Average Dough, and Blueberry Cobbler. I had never tried the Knot Your Average Dough before, so I was excited to taste it. The Confetti Brownie Batter and Frosted Animal Cookie were new to my mom and sister, and then the Blueberry Cobbler is a personal favorite for my sister. I really enjoyed Knot Your Average Dough! It is a Cookie Dough-flavored ice cream with a Salted Pretzel Ripple and Cookie Dough Pieces. The ripple was my favorite part, and I would definitely order it again. I am not a huge fan personally of Confetti Brownie Batter (nothing wrong with this one, I just believe there are much better flavors Handel's makes) and Frosted Animal Cookie (in my opinion, does not taste like Frosted Animal Cookies except for the actual cookie inclusions), but both were made well. Blueberry Cobbler had a ton of Blueberry Ripple, and was great. No complaints about the quality or taste of the ice creams! We all enjoyed getting to try some new-to-us flavors. Since it was raining, and were were trying to get back to Pittsburgh, we took our ice cream to-go. Though, I would love to come back and enjoy the outdoor area on another visit. Pricing here was fair. A small scoop will run about $5 after tax. Our 4 Scoop Sampler was around $7 after tax. Most single-serve items are less than $10, so very normal as far as ice cream is concerned. Considering they make all of the ice creams in-house and with high-quality ingredients, I definitely believe the value is there. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. As stated, our service was very prompt and quick. I have no complaints about anything relating to the staff or the overall customer service here. Had a great visit to this Handel's location! Service was excellent, the ice cream was all very well-made, the location is clean, and the overall atmosphere is great. Glad that I got to have some delicious ice cream, and check out a different Handel's location. I highly recommend stopping at Handel's if you have never been, or are simply in the mood for some incredible ice cream!

Personally I think the best ice cream place around! Great service with a friendly staff.read more

It was refreshing with a variety of fruits, sweet red bean, little rice cakes, and vanilla ice cream with sprinkles. They also have a plethora of freshly baked Korean style cakes and breads ranging from soboru (my personal favorite ) to red bean buns and fried donuts. Would love to see if they can do a red bean filled soboru bun! I was surprised by how good the fried donut was - super soft and filled with sweet red bean inside. If you're a chestnut lover, I also recommend the chestnut soboru bun. It had chunks of chestnuts inside and was not too sweet. If you're a savory person or need a meal, they also serve ramen There are plenty of seats inside and the interior has such a classic, homey feel to it. I especially enjoyed the illusion of privacy offered by the dividing screens at the traditional seating area. I am apt to take off my shoes in public regardless of the occassion, but the sunken tables allowed me to unleash the dawgs in a more socially acceptable manner. Note that Tea Zone no longer offers as wide a variety of savory foods. In fact, they only serve ramen. But their bakery section is still robust! I'm not honestly the biggest fan of most fruit cakes but I had an uncontrollable craving. As far as store-bought fruit cakes go, it was not bad. As always, I wish the cake part had more depth of flavor than just ~vanilla~, but as a whole, the cake was quite soft and generously topped with an assortment of fruit! The servers were very sweet (haha) and offered to make my iced matcha latte unsweetened but I was like, no, I need the high. Because I sure as hell am not high on life. Not a direct quote
