I tried their weekend buffet and it was good, solid tasty Indian food. It's a smaller buffet selection but they have the standard items (butter chicken, tandoori chicken, chana masala, samosa, pakora, salad selection, gulab jamun, fresh naan, etc). Personally the spice level was too subtle for me but I grew up in Little India. Otherwise I had a good first experience there. I will definitely order from their menu next time and customize the spice level. The owner working the front all by himself was always smiling, courteous and efficient during their busiest time on the weekend.

Okay, I have tried so many Chole Bhature, but this has to be one place where the Chole actually…read morematched my expectations. They are so rich, flavourful and match the original flavour. It also comes with Sirka onions(which they could definitely give more of) and aaloo. The Bhatura are great sized, not over oily and perfectly cooked. It's definitely the best one for me. Golgappas on the other hand, total disappointment- feels like packaged ones and the water carries just spices but not flavours. We also tried the Raj Kachori chaat, but they did not balance it well, they just loaded with red chutney and it just did not end up tasting good. The samosas also weren't good, they refried them so the space was just not up to the mark. Also the crispy part was soaking in oil. I did end up loving the masala soda, fizzy and it just hits the nerve. Also amazing is a sweet called ladyfinger, which is sweet and moist. Overall the place has great potential but the staff aren't very consistent with flavours. The service isn't too slow, but they could definitely try to resolve these issues.

Serving the community since 1976, Moti Mahal has been a neighborhood landmark for generations and offers a casual, welcoming atmosphere, offering a mix of Indian street food, curries, thalis, sweets, and traditional favorites. And, the menu offers a wide variety of options, from quick snacks and street food to full meals and freshly made sweets prepared in-house. We were impressed with their selection of Indian sweets. The display offered a great variety of traditional desserts, and we ended up getting a mixed box to take home.

All the food was fantastic, so tasty and high quality. The service was a little spotty - servers seemed as if they didn't understand the Taste of Oakville menu, and when going out as a group of 3 girls and wanting separate the bill for each of us was something they've never done before and something that they would have to go out of their way to do. Restaurant is chill around 5pm and starts to pick up around 6pm - plan your visit accordingly! :)

I absolutely love this place. Normally, a place that has a massive menu is a bit concerning to me…read moreas it often leads to not really excelling at anything, but that is not the case here in my experience. The reason behind the large menu is related to the aim of the restaurant, which is to showcase the various regional cuisines of India. As a result, don't expect the straightforward menu of: apps, entrees, deserts, etc... rather the menu is divided by cuisine. Aside from honouring tradition, they do offer a couple 'new' takes on some items. If you comb through a few reviews, and certainly the pics, you'll notice a must-order items is the roasted eggplant with pomegranate. It really is like nothing else I've had before and unforgettable in both taste and texture. My group also went with a famous lamb dish as well. I don't remember the name offhand, but it is incredibly soft, well seasoned and nicely spiced dish. We also went with orders of naan, veggie dishes and meat skewers. It's beautifully decorated inside and also has the advantage of being located in a heritage building in what was formerly an estate home nearly 150 years old. It's truly a unique place and one people living in the area can be proud and of showcase to visitors.

The owner deeply cares about providing top-notch cuisine and customer experience, in a family-friendly environment. We ordered "Amristsari Fish Tacos" and Peri Peri Chicken Tikka" for appetizers. They were both perfectly seasoned and cooked and had the right amount of spiciness. For entrée, we ordered "Chicken Kali Mirch" with rice and "Home-style Chicken Curry" with plain Naan. We loved both dishes; spicy, well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. The desserts were the highlight of our meal; combination of creativity and famous Indian sweets. Rasmalai has always been my favorite Indian dessert, but "Rasmalai Tres Leches" was another level. Beautifully presented and served and delicious. "Golgappa Cheesecake" was delicious and innovative. Would definitely love to go back and try more of their regular menu items.

It was really tough and the sauce was a little above par. I don't no if something was off with the chef that day but given that I spent about $100 I will not be going back there ever. The customer service wraps were friendly and very chatty which made our weight enjoyable and the restaurant would be nice for big gatherings minimalistic ambiance, but based on the meal that I tried, I wouldn't recommend or go back to this place.

The place was packed with a minimum half hour wait for a table. The atmosphere was young and lively. The servers were efficient in resetting tables and order taking, as well as friendly, courteous and accommodating of special requests. Water jug on the table was replenished without having to ask; kudos to the servers. A slight misunderstanding resulted in the naan orders being brought out much later than the tandoori orders. *Hint: specify that naan should be brought out with the "appetizers"* It was nice to have pretty serving dishes, and real plates and cutlery instead of paper and plastic. Even the take out containers were of superior, non-leak variety :D. The seating system was efficient, once we were able to determine how and where we were supposed to register for a table. All the food ordered (mostly tandoori, naan and vegetable curry) was excellent, freshly made, generous portions even for sharing, the naan light and tender. But the real stand out was the tandoori fish (salmon?). We would make the long trek back for the tandoori fish alone! This was food quality that belongs in a 5* restaurant where the prices charged far outstrip what we were charged here. One star off for the following: - No sign explaining about registering for a table. - Decor and ambiance could do with an upgrade. I hope they open branches in other parts of the GTA! Without compromising on their food quality.
