Stopped in here to pick up a gallon of windshield wiper fluid - I went through a lot of it today on the drive from Haymarket to Rockville - thought I was about to run out! There is a full Tiger Mart convenience store here - so all the normal goods are available: coffee, bottled water, soda, snacks, sandwiches, toiletries, and more. Also picked up a new ice scraper/snow brush tool while I was there - I broke the handle on the previous one while cleaning the ice off the car windows this morning! read more

I got gas from this place then car wouldnt start. Just needed a jump. Benny and the other gas station attendant could not jump a woman's car. Then had the audacity to tell me its busy time, I need move. To make a long story short my husband came there quickly did what real men do jumped my car. Dont recommend these 2 idiots here. I've been going to this Exxon for years. Its directly across from the McD's so it's a convenient spot. Never had any problems until I pulled a boneheaded move and pulled out of the gas station w the hose still in my tank. As soon as I realized what I had done, the staff were very polite, but firm that - even though there was no visible damage - at the very least - I'd have to pay for the hose/tank to be inspected. I had to accept my gaff, and fully cooperated by giving my ID, my contact info and waiting while the attendant photographed my VIN. I expressed an interest in paying directly, and they said they'd pass it a long to the owner. A couple days later, having not heard from the owner, I called. No call back. I called again a few days later, got the owner live-and he said he already put it through my insurance. Considering that I'm a middle aged man, driving a luxury automobile, and already acknowledged fault, and was cooperating w the owner - I was surprised and disappointed that he would not consider giving me a day or two to provide payment before going against my wishes and filing a claim. Even more surprising was his unwillingness to return my call. Instead he disregarded my call and processed it through my insurance. My insurance rates have now gone up, all over a minor $1,200 bucks that I had offered to pay immediately. I don't fault the owner for requiring payment, I fault him for lacking the business sense to give me the chance to make payment before he disregarded my request. Or at the very least, return my phone call. Customer service mattered here, and it was a disappointment to me; while not serving any benefit to the owner. But knowing that, he disregarded a responsible client's wishes. I have not been back since, and now bring my business to gas stations where I hope the owners will take more interest in helping clients do what's right. read more

Usually MCPD still stick around which has its perks of deterrence. Conveniently next to a McDonald's so passer-bys can always get something to eat on the way to their destination. Convenience store has the main goods, as expected. Gas prices are fair in comparison to other places. The location is perfect if you're coming from md-200 / i-370. Closer to a Giant, subway, Chinese and Capital One bank and even a SECU branch. Easily seen from shady grove rd. read more

The Shady Grove Exxon gas station is conveniently located just off the highway and in a strip mall with McDonald, Giant, Subway and a number of other small stores. I have been going to this gas station for years and have not had any problems or complaints. It's a small gas station with a mini mart inside. It's probably the only gas station within a 1- 2 mile radius. I am guessing as this community starts to grow with the construction of a number of housing developments around Shady Grove Metro Station this and other establishments in the area will have to expand. I do not recall shopping or going inside the mini mart so I cannot comment on the gas station attendants or prices besides fuel. read more

I carry a child support debit card, issued by the state I moved here from. It works like a credit/debit most places, but NOT gas pumps. I tried to pre-pay for gas this morning, and was rejected by the guys working. They would not run my card inside, and kept insisting I use it at the pump. It doesn't work there. I promise. I've had this card for years, and it never worked, but according to them today was the magic day where it was going to start. Not. Accident 6/17/13 at Exxon Gas station Located, 16705 Crabbs Branch Way Shady Grove Rd Gaithersburg, MD 20855 and his owner David S. Yoon 571-225-4855 (301) 948-8155 Yesterday 06/17/13 in the early morning my fiancé was in a critical safety issue that happened at the EXXON Gas Station Located at 16705 Crabs Branch Way Shady Grove Rd Gaithersburg, MD 20855. Under the gas pump No.8 there is a raised sharp rusted metal plate that was the edge of the concrete where the pump seats, it is bending/ pointing outwards towards the toes and feet. This metal object is totally rusted and did not have signs that have been taken care of for a long time, the metal plate looks like it was ran over by a truck and it was not ever fixed. INJURY; Unfortunately yesterday my fiancé slashed her toe wide open because of the negligent management/owner by keeping this Exxon gas station running in a Unsafe conditions to operate. These failures to follow consumer safety regulation caused my fiancé a lot of pain, suffering, and a potential fatal TETANUS INFECTION. not just that, this forced her to leave work, schedule an emergency appointment with her doctor, get tetanus shots and a extremely painful food-toe clean up at the doctor's office. When I arrive to the gas station to see where my fiancé injured her foot, I took some photos of the gas pump (Photos available), there was a Police officer at the pump at the same time, so I asked him if it was necessary to have a police report of the accident that turned into a bloody-mess, the officer told me "no, I can't do anything about it, go talk to the Asian man inside, he is the owner" so I went in looking for the owner David S Yoon and reported this accident to him personally. Immediately he ordered his employees to close out pump No.8 due to my fiance's injuries, at first he seems calmed, cooperative and was willing to fix any problems about injuries in his establishment etc while he was walking us over to the parking lot and close to our car, he was not very apologetic or sorry and said "how do I know that happened here at my gas station?" We told him to see the Video... after that, he even mention that he will take care of any expenses without going to court, or having to deal with long litigation process, lawyer, etc.. I expressed myself that all I really wanted to do was to prevent for others to cut/slash themselves in this gas pump metal plate while filling their cars with gas, but, suddenly Mr. Yoon turned different when he initiated insulting us that we were trying to take advantage of him, that he sees a lot of people like us looking for easy money, then he started yelling at us that we were there purposely trying to fake the situation so we ask for him to see the VIDEO of the Pump again (he obviously didn't see the injured toes?) he told us that we should leave his gas station because that is his property. Then, Mr. David S. Yoon kept us hostage even with my fiancé's toe bleeding he didn't let us go from his gas station because he called the police to give us a trespassing order by the police so we don't come back to his gas station ever again. So, to Mr. David S. Yoon reporting an accident in his gas station became a threat but NOW, I won't let him walk away with this, all because of the way we were treated, the accident that turned into injury of my fiancé due to his failure to comply with Maryland Safety Regulation. I will protect my rights and the rights of other as I will follow up to the extent of the law to prevent that owners as Mr., David S. Yoon take no action, responsibility or care about his costumers. Just to make Mr. Yoon known that NONE of these things would have happened if he would comply and follow safety regulations. All these happened just because of a business man as Mr. David S. Yoon that don't keep his gas station safe for CLIENTS to spend their money buying gas but instead of good customer service, Mr. Yoon Irrational behavior will insult his customers, and even have them/us remove from his property with the police if anyone detects any unsafe conditions about his gas station. We were not claiming for any money, i was reporting the ACCIDENT. I work for a HUGE Pharmaceutical Company, and my Fiance works in the GOVERNMENT... Does Mr. Yoon think we need his couple of hundred dollars? BUT... For his behavior and lack of customer service and of course SAFETY, his Exxon gas station should be inspected and closed as it seems to be running in an unsafe manner. Thank You read more
