I appreciated the variety of different flavors. I gave this place 4 stars for two reasons... 1. The price point was a bit high. I bought maybe 5-6 pastries and it came to just over $50. 2. Parking can be a nightmare depending when you come, especially on the weekends. There's a back lot and garage but even those fill up fairly quickly.

The sweets selection wasn't huge, but there was a decent variety. I tried the blueberry cheese danish, which was pretty good, along with a couple of cookies. I'd say the quality is a step above Paris Baguette, which I wasn't expecting. The customer service was excellent, and the café itself appeared clean and well maintained. My only little observation was the front glass doors and they could definitely use a cleaning. And why do I ALWAYS notice the windows and doors at restaurants and cafés? Go figure! Apparently, clean glass is one of my things. Overall, a cute spot with good service, decent pastries, and a nice atmosphere for coffee, tea, or getting a little work done.

I tried their taro donut filled with custard and I enjoyed the fact that it wasn't very sweet at all. Also ordered tiramisu and an iced strawberry matcha. Service could be a tad bit quicker is one thing I would work on but other than that it was a very good experience. There's some seating available inside for people to do work or just hang out. It's honestly a good location so I'm hoping they get more consistent business with all the new changes.

Teamania is an Asian inspired bakery tucked into a shopping plaza near the Twinbrook Metro stop…read more Unassuming from the outside, inside you'll find a large and enticing display of pastries, donuts, and other baked goods. Offerings range from a beef curry bun, croissants, Portuguese tarts, and artichoke spinach bread. My personal favorite was the peach cloud donut. A sugared brioche dough, fried and split open like a sandwich, stuffed with a marshmallowy whipped cream and perfectly ripe peach slices. In a word: divine. I went back more than once to have it again. The way you select your pastures is by grabbing a tray and personal set of tongs, going down the display line to select what you'd like. You then bring your selections to the register and can order coffee or tea at that time as well. There are non-pastry items you can order as well, including a bento box around lunch time and their signature cloud pancakes that take a while to make but come out looking incredibly airy. While you wouldn't necessarily make a whole trip to the area to seek out Teamania, if you're already in the area it's well worth your time.

Revisited Sunday Morning this past weekend and ordered myself a Hojija latte (one of my favorites)…read more Also ordered a breakfast sandwich for a friend. It was slightly busy but the line moved fairly quickly. The restaurant has a good amount of seating and a lot of people dining in were simply enjoying their weekend. Unfortunately I had to work so everything was to go for me. I would love to have the opportunity to just dine in one day. I also want to try their Virginia location since that recently opened as well. I'm also still waiting on their rainbow/chantilly filled croissant because it had to be the best pastry I've ever eaten. Would happily return here. Wish they had a punch card for their regular customers.

The Blackberry Pistachio Croissant was flaky and full of a sweet-tart house made blackberry compote and rich pistachio frangipane. For the hot tea, I got Island Mango just on the description - sweet bits of mango, pineapple, orange, safflower & hibiscus. It was served as decaf. Once I let it cool, it had a citrus taste, but not sweet. I am still glad to have tried it and did not have to wait long for the order. Within a block of leaving the business, while holding the hot cup with one hand (the sleeve only helped a little), some of the hot tea spilled on me suddenly (I now have a burned scar on my knuckle). I don't know if the cover was on right, or if my movements made the top come off. I couldn't blame anyone. I did go back and had them replace the top since the other fell on the ground outside. When they say "hot" tea, they are not lying. Moving forward, no more hot drinks for me.

One of its many locations in the US, the Gaithersburg café at the RIO Lakefront complex opened in December 2024, taking over the storefront previously occupied for nearly 25 years by Corner Bakery, which closed in February 2024. This location has indoor seating and grab-and-go options including taro buns, milk bread, sausage pastries, and specialty tea lattes. I have had a visit in mind for some time since it opened (I know the chain from previous visits to Korea), and I was in the area to see a movie. The café is spacious and clean, and the day I was there (a Sunday) it was fairly packed. Most of the pastries and breads are self serve, using an individual tray and pincers. Drinks need to be ordered separately from a long list of coffees, lattes, fruit drinks and exotic or seasonal combinations. The service was swift and efficient. I ordered a guava pastry, a chocolate laced croissant and a latte. Everything was delicious. The crowd weighted heavily towards young and Asian. I recommend this establishment.

I ordered the red bean donut and milk cream red bean bread. I enjoyed my treats, although I thought my bread had too much cream in it and had to scoop some out. I did like that the cream was light and airy. Hubby enjoyed his food as well, although he isn't a huge fan of onions, which were on the pizza baguette. For my colleagues, I ordered a small cappuccino, a slice of chocolate cloud cake, and a chocolate tart with blueberry to go. I asked if I could place the cappuccino order with the rest of my order but have it prepared in 5-10 minutes so it wouldn't get cold. Initially, the staff member taking my order said I should place the cappuccino order separately. I didn't want to do that since it would mean having to wait in line again. I didn't think my request was unreasonable, so I wasn't sure why there was some pushback. After a minute, she agreed to place the entire order together and gave me a buzzer to let me know when everything was ready for pickup. Unlike the Columbia location, this location doesn't have an open layout. However, I do prefer the exterior of this location because it's more eye-catching and attention-grabbing. I love TLJ and would definitely return for more of their tasty treats!
