Pie Town Pie was totally worth the trip…read more It was a bit chilly and too windy to sit outside on November 22, 2025, but there was patio dining. Service was a bit slow when we walked in. That all quickly changed soon after we played musical chairs to find a clean table we wanted. Lol. The only other weird thing was, they did not have menus. It was all verbally listed for us. In approximately 15 minutes, our food came out hot and fresh. I had the quiche, which was perfect, but I tried both of my daughters' dishes too. Talk about wholesome, comforting flavor town! Not only that, but they add extra touches to each dish to make them aesthetically pleasing. Our lunch consisted of: Pizza SLAB = $9.95 Pot Pie = $14.95 Quiche Meal = $9.95 Slice of Brookie pie = $7.50 Beverage × 2 = $5.00 ($2.50 ea.) Highly recommend if you get the chance to travel this desolate area of New Mexico. RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Ambiance: 4| Price: 4

For years, I heard about Pie Town Pie and wanted to visit. I finally had the chance to visit there…read morerecently. The drive out there from Socorro NM was long and remote, but then we finally arrived - Very excited to try their pies. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Very limited selection of pies. The pies were not that good and cost about $7.50 a slice. The coffee also wasn't good. Additionally, our waitress kept forgetting what we ordered and that we were ready to pay our bill. Two groups of people were in the diner: a loud group of volunteer local firefighters, and a local older couple who kept glaring at us angrily (ie. Some people in NM are not friendly to tourists). The Pie Lady (Kathy) was friendly and happy; however, her pies were not worth the drive, sorry to say.
