Pretty good experience here. Now when you come visit up here, if you look up Apache Sitgreaves National Forests, the description is that this is "God's Country," so act accordingly... I had about an hour to kill before a talk and was tired from a 7+ mile hike and wanted to check this place out after seeing it when I came into town. The bar was packed on a Saturday night and staff here were polite and poured me a draft of Four Peaks Wow Wheat. Clientele was nice here, country music playing and 2 pool tables available to waste some time. There is a back patio space and I can see that people might want to sit out there to enjoy too. A local watering hole and worth a stop in when in Alpine and nice crisp drafts on pour. read more

Enjoyable visit. My husband and I were traveling with our little Maltese from Phoenix. The town was almost completely closed down, as it was a Sunday night. Wil, the owner was open and ready for guests. The drinks were great and the homemade pizza and smoked wings were delicious. We will definitely be going back when we're in the area. Wil is definitely an America patriot, clearly not happy about the direction of things and our country today and not shy about sharing his opinions. If you're sensitive to this, might not be the best place for you. If you consider yourself a patriot, who loves our constitution and traditional American values, second amendment, free speech, etc., then you'll fit right in, just like we did! We had a great time! It's kind of hard to get to, you can see it fine but someone decided it would be a good idea to put a fence up to block where you would think you should pull into the parking lot. As we arrived we were greeted with a F**k Biden sign....the audacity! We ventured in despite the reviews! Let me tell you, this Mofo not only didn't have the Pull Tabs full on and the machine turned on but refused to provide us with water when requested! He actually made a rather offensive snarky remark about a glass of water costing $50...what a Sheldon! If all of these red flags weren't enough, the owner who goes by "Will" put his small nuts in my mouth! I was appalled! You can't imagine the shock of this! The only bar in alpine. (That I know of) we've been here a few times when we stay in alpine. The bar could look stand offish at first but just go in give it a try. They have a good selection of bottled beers and make amazing bloody marys. read more

We had the BEST time. Our bartender/owner was so much fun to talk to. It was quiet but it was also 2:30 in the afternoon. It's an "old school" bar with pool tables and a dart board. It's one of the only bars that is open in Alpine. After talking to the lady at Foxfire Restaurant, which was closed and the lady really snippy, we thought we would give it a try.
